Looking for teriyaki and seen this in Seaside. You order at the front and then sit down at a table. The woman (who looks like the owner) was kind and friendly. It took about 25 mins to get our food. We all order 2 orders of chicken breast teriyaki, one order was spicy chicken teriyaki. The teriyaki sauce was tasty and the spicy was great. Your food comes in a bowl with steamed vegetables and white rice. Once you mix it up, the sauce tastes great with everything. There was not table service but the owner did come around and ask if we needed anything. Not a bad little spot to eat teriyaki in Seaside. This place is very clean!! Husband had a sushi roll that had a funny taste, so bad he only had one bite. He told the waitress, she took it away then came back and said " it must be the seaweed, it's fine I tried a bite". We have eaten plenty of seaweed, this sushi was terrible. No offer of discount and now that she took the dish away and ate from it... no thank you! The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because it was clean in the establishment and my chicken yakisoba was good. Won't be back. read more

Absolutely great! I have stopped here many times to get Vegetable Fried Rice, my fav and they really know how to do it right. So this time I brought a friend, had to drag him in. He is very spoiled with other Asian restaurants but I felt I had to convince him. Service is always great. The ambiance reminds me of the first Japanese restaurant I went to as a child...mom and pop, very attentive and home made. I had my rice, as usual, and he had Bento Box and LOVED it!. I've never had more bland tasting food. The udon was like water even after dousing it with soy sauce. The chicken teriyaki was way overcooked. The pork was pure fat. They're not standing t the counter all day. We get it. Very friendly folks. I ordered the spicy chicken. Just the right amount of spice and huge portion. The cooked non-spiced carrot and cabbage was a wonderful balance. Wife had teriyaki chicken. Loved it. Not over salted and tender. Vegetables beautifully Al dente. We felt they delivered. Was happily surprised by this place. I've tried Tora sushi and hated it but this place got most of it right. The sushi was cold and fresh, tempura was hot and crispy, the salad had a great traditional dressing, even the salmon nigiri was very fresh and tasty. I think the only complaint I would have is the miso soup was super salty, I like salty but this was way too much. Maybe that day was a one off but I will be back again for sure. read more

I should have read the reviews. Stopped by at 11am to grab lunch. We ordered avocado rolls, salmon teriyaki bowl and sashmi for 35$. It took 25 minutes. MY son loves avocado rolls, rice is really important. The rice was nasty. I paid for sashimi but only ate the tuna and salmon . I took a bite of the yellowtail and it tasted rubbery. What a pleasant surprise! We found this restaurant at the outlet mall (they have 2 locations). This is NOT mall food! We had the chicken teriyaki, Alaska roll and Volcano roll and it was all excellent! They have installed partitions between the tables and the restaurant is very clean. The service was friendly, fast and appreciative. If you are looking for good, healthy food that is reasonably priced, this is a great spot. read more

on 2/27/21 my grandson and I went to Cannon Beach and Seaside to do some hiking and photos and then sushi for lunch. We were not familiar with any of the options googled, but we chose Tokyo Teriyaki. It was easy access outside entrance at the mall, both indoor and outdoor covered seating during covid. Doors to enter the restaurant separate from mall and hallway to enter the mall to the restrooms so they were easily accessible as well. The staff was friendly and expedient. Service was great and the sushi was good. The tempura veggies were exceptional! They had yams, asparagus and a Japanese pepper included in the veggies and it was light, crisp, not greasy and very tasty. This place was actually pretty good! It's very hidden and at the entrance to the outlet mall, and by the public restrooms. They have Chinese, Korean, and Japanese food. Everything comes out fast, and most items will surprise you with a good taste. The pictures don't look that great, but the actual food looks and tastes better. Just for that reason, I decided to test him by asking him if I could get extra meat with my Chicken Teriyaki if I paid for it. He asked me how much I wanted and I answered "Double". Everything was all well until his reply, which shocked me, "Why would you want that much? It is plenty already for you". If he was trying to be a comic, he was a rather crappy one, because his voice and posture screamed condescending, like he was talking down to me. INSTANTLY failed my test. Customer's always #1!
