The food here never disappoints. I was dreaming about this TABLT since my last visit and it was excellent. Great service and neighborhood vibe.

You want to enjoy an Irish bar that is part of Los Angeles history? Come here. Tom Bergin's has its own parking lot. Yay for parking. It's got great food. I had a fantastic grilled cheese (I asked for grilled onions to be added.) My friends had fish and chips. The atmosphere is down to earth and authentic. This is NOT where you go when you want to see and be seen. This is where you go when you want to enjoy a drink (or three) with old friends. I enjoyed spotting not one, but two of my college buddies names on the ceiling in the famous Tom Bergin shamrocks. One of those names now lives in Spain. It was nice to "see" him again. Have fun and keep the noise down for their neighbors!

The first thing I saw when walking in was dogs in the bar= my personal heaven! The vibe was chill and welcoming. I was lucky enough to try so many things and each was more delicious than the last. I had a hot Irish coffee (yum) an iced Irish coffee (YUMMMM would go back just for this) and an orange vodka drink that was also delicious. The Rueben was great, amazingly crisp fries. My fav item was The Wolfmother burger. Service was great and I look forward to going back.

Tom Bergin's knows how to throw a party. Especially on St. Patrick's Day. The place was packed before mid morning. DJ was playing, food and green beer were flowing, happy people everywhere. I've only been here on St Patrick's Day. Would love to come back during regular hours. But day drinking for the win always!

A decent old fashioned for 15 dollars this is nice pricing and an unbeatable ambiance in this very old building. I haven't tried the food since I came here after eating.

Atmosphere is excellent but food could be better. Service is good but you need to order food near the register

5 stars for coolness and history, 3 stars for lunch. Probably a much better place to hang out in during the evening hours. I'm guessing we caught them short handed as it was get your menu from the bar, seat yourself and then return to the bar to order your lunch. Also has self-service for water as well as returning to the bar to get a refill for our sodas. 4 stars for the fish and chips and the patty melt. 3 stars for the burger. Funny enough, the lettuce was too crunchy . 2 stars for the Shepherds pie. Not enough veggies in the meat sauce and way too many onions for me. Of course, others may have a different opinion. Really an amazing place to visit based on the history. Think they have been there since 1936. For me, it would be a great place to return for a cocktail and then, maybe some fish and chips. Pick what you like and...enjoy!

The venue has a charming atmosphere with good vibes. There are booths and tables surrounding the bar, as well as additional seating towards the back of the pub. Outdoor seating is available in the parking lot. My friend and I each ordered cocktails, priced at $15, which were well-crafted and not overly diluted with ice. We tried the Old Fashion and Tangerine Dream. The bartender and servers were friendly. We also ordered Brussels sprouts with sweet potatoes, and it was delicious. The music added to the enjoyable ambiance. A friendly and adorable Corgi was wandering around wearing a Christmas collar. Overall, we had a fantastic time!

They have indoor dining. I went December 2021.

Do they show professional wrestling here or would they?

Sorry Eric, for the close-minded jerk who answered above. I'm sure you've dealt with people like him in the past, as I have. As for your question, I'll say that any PPVs probably won't be shown since the license is expensive (at least for WWE). As… Read more

Huge shoutout to Michael behind the bar, hands down one of the friendliest bartenders around. He's attentive, quick with recommendations, and genuinely makes you feel welcome the second you sit down. He kept the energy up while still making sure our glasses were never empty. That kind of service is what keeps people coming back. I initially ordered a margarita and asked Michael if he could make it. He said yes and mentioned that he does not drink, so he would not be able to taste-test it. After receiving the drink, I let him know that it was not to my liking the mixer tasted off and the drink was overly sweet. I clearly explained what was wrong with it and asked instead for a tequila and pineapple juice, shaken. When preparing the second drink, Michael poured it rather than shaking it and then served it in a small glass, leaving some of the drink in the shaker instead of using a larger glass so the full amount could be served. At checkout, I was charged for both drinks. When I questioned this, I was told the first drink could not be removed because I "did not specify" that I didn't like it despite the fact that I had explained the issue with the margarita and requested a replacement. Michael was rude and had an unpleasant attitude during this interaction. I have never been to an establishment where I was required to pay for a drink that I did not like or drink after clearly explaining what was wrong with it. I believe I should be refunded for the margarita that I did not enjoy or consume. I hope this matter can be resolved promptly and professionally. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response. No where in the bar does it says all sales are final either!

The bartenders are friendly, attentive, and genuinely on top of things, which is a big reason we've kept coming back. Over time, we've even met some of the owners, and the place has always felt welcoming and well-run, even through ownership changes. That's why this last visit stood out and not in a good way. The bar was packed for the basketball games, and the staff was clearly hustling. Honestly, they could've used more support behind the bar for a crowd like that. Instead, one of the partners seemed to take on the role of... social host. He made sure people knew who he was, but didn't actually step in to help where it mattered. We've seen other partners jump behind the bar or run food when things get busy, so the contrast here was hard to miss. At times, it felt less like leadership and more like a running announcement tour. Meanwhile, the team that was actually working kept pushing through a packed house. The vibe took another hit with the TVs. With so many screens already locked on basketball, it didn't seem like a big ask to change just one on baseball. One of the bartenders even put it on, but a few minutes later, after a guest played into Mr. Big Shot's ego, he went and changed it right back. Just unnecessary, and honestly felt a little performative. We still like this place and really appreciate the staff who show up and do the work. But that interaction definitely left a different impression than what we've come to expect here.

The food is passable enough...typical pub food that is fine for what it is. The problems start and end with their bartenders...they are lazy, grouchy, inattentive and downright rude. In the last three months I've gone in multiples times and was left standing at the bar for 10-15mins before a bartender even looked at me. And no...they weren't busy. The last time was at around 5pm on a weekday...I just wanted a smooth pint of Guinness on my way home from work. There were 4-5 people at the bar and a few ppl playing pool...not busy. There were a few dirty pints strewn up and down the bar with some crumpled up napkins and the bartender stood at the far end of the bar near the kitchen. She glanced up at me and then went back to talking to her friend (who didn't work there and was behind the freakin' bar). No urgency, no "hello", no acknowledgement, no..."I'll be right with you". I tried to get her attention, but ended up leaving without ever getting acknowledged. This has happened over and over again and I won't be back. I wish the owner would get his sh*t together.
