This was our first experience. Our waiter did not have a great memory and kept mixing up our orders.. first drinks then salads .. there were two of us. Then the entree for my husband. He ordered Ono (just say 'oh no') they fly the fish from HI each week and the price reflects it- not a problem if you get what you want. It looked good but was RAW RAW when he cut into it. Tried a new restaurant tonight it was the first night open. I got a reservation last Friday for tonight my wife was supposed to go but her back was hurting so she told me to go on and go. So I went to Tom Brown's. Pretty good food especially considering it was opening night. I ordered the char grilled bone in pork chop it was good but a little over seasoned with salt. Also added on the fried shrimp very nice they were nicely battered and done perfectly, however they were not butterflied and we're a little rubbery be cause of their size you get 6 of the for $9 as an add on the pork chop came with a backed potato which was also just a tad under done dinner is also served with fresh biscuits and honey butter. I did save room for dessert and ordered a piece of the bourbon banana cake inside of the cake was still a bit frozen and therefore lacked much flavor the outside was thawed and better but , I never really got much banana flavor from the cake. read more

I am so disappointed! 12 members of my family met for Saturday night dinner. We had reservations for 7pm (yes, everyone was there on time) and were not seated until 745. The waiting area was so crowded, it seemed like making reservations didn't matter as no one was getting seated on time anyway. One of the specials was sold out, I understand this can happen. One order was for the steak and lobster tail. When the food arrived (after 9pm) there was no lobster tail and when the waiter was asked he said he would go check. So he comes back, says the first one was dropped?!?! and it would be about 3 minutes until another one was ready. Soooo, about 20 minutes later, after everyone else had finished eating, he returned and said they would have to take the price of the lobster tail off the ticket, with no explanation of what happened to the 2nd lobster tail...hmmm. One order was for halibut and it was way overcooked and dry. The steaks weren't cooked to the correct temperature. We weren't offered dessert or coffee after our meal, which is always a treat for me when we eat out. By this time it was 10pm so I guess they were ready to see us leave. Our table was so crowded with other peoples tables and chairs pushed against ours that we couldn't even get in and out. We have been here before but this is the first time our expectations were not even close to being met. Not once did anyone, like maybe a manager??, come and apologize for any of the issues the restaurant seemed to be having. One waiter for not only our large table but also for the entire area we were sitting in is just unacceptable and unfair to the waiter. Please don't take reservations for large parties if you can't give them the proper service. Restaurant is overpriced and under staffed and management is lacking. read more

Overall a great date night for me and my wife of 28 yrs. I felt that even though the food and service was very good, it was a bit more pricey than what I got for the money (well, at least the steak was). I got the red fish with the crawfish Julie - very very well seasoned and cooked. It's hard to find fish that fresh and well-cooked here in Huntsville. My wife got the $44 12-oz NY strip with fries - so good. A bit inconsistent with the done-ness (ordered to be between Med and Med-Well; but the ends were well done and middle was closer to Med rare). Nevertheless, the steak was very tasty and well-seasoned with a perfect sear. We left happy - the entire experience provided a terrific setting for us to enjoy each other's company and conversation. read more

Overhyped and overpriced for the food quality and experience. Started with drinks and fried alligator. Beer came out flat, alligator very chewy and mostly breading. Entrees were the filet steak ($47), mahi mahi ($30) and red fish ($30). Filet was ordered medium; came out rare. Mahi mahi served rare. When asked if this was normal, server and chef defended the presentation because it's "sushi grade". What sushi place ever has mahi as a nigiri or sashimi selection?? Both server and chef stated the fish was normally cooked this way but could be requested more well done (not told about this when ordering). Also had a caesar salad. I've had better salads at IHOP. They even charged us for the flat beer that was returned for a different selection. Not sure why this place is still popular, won't be returning. read more

We have been trying to give this place a try for a few months now and finally made it. We were seated immediately and on a perfect afternoon on the west patio. Our servers Demetrius and Theo were outstanding and took amazing care of our needs. The manager Gavin came by and visited with us several times and made some suggestions from the menu,and we even met the owner who was equally friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure. The ambiance was nice for our first date night post COVID. The specialty drinks (old fashion and lavender martini)were perfectly made. The appetizer (alligator bites) were delicious. From the second we walked in the door, it was a good experience...we were greeted by smiling, friendly faces and we were seated right away. Rachel M was our server and she was also very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu...recommending certain things to this non seafood non beef eating visitor. I ended up with the grilled chicken and fries(my husband took whatever sauce it was supposed to come with) and I have to say that that might be the best grilled chicken I have ever had. He ordered the gumbo and the friend shrimp and said both were fantastic and then they gave him a small slice of cheesecake for his birthday. My husband had the surf and turf - HUGE 10 oz sirloin was awesome - beautiful piece of meat that cut like butter - and the fried shrimp was incredible - not overcooked like other places. Rarely does an experience match the hype, but this place was legit! The best food we've had in a long time. We had the fried alligator and the Chilean Sea Bass with sweet potatoes and greens--delicious! Everything was so well seasoned and flavorful yet fresh, tender and light. The fish was so flaky and buttery. The portions were perfect and although a bit pricey, it was a worthy splurge considering it was flown in on ice from Hawaii--you are getting what you're paying for, for sure! The kids ordered "I'm Not Hungry" also known as a Wagyu burger and fries, which was also made in the wagyu oil--addictive! The decor is modern and beautiful, with glass chandeliers and posh velvet seating, upbeat music with a medium conversational din inside the dining room. The outdoor patios are also gorgeous with a picture wall and large and small table settings. They also followed CDC guidelines, taking our temperature before seating us, providing additional seats for us to space ourselves, and asking whether we would prefer waitstaff to wear a mask--we did express that preference. A wonderful evening and a new favorite place to get a nice meal without going all the way to Downtown Huntsville. We highly recommend it. read more

A delightful experience to include the food, staff, and atmosphere. I am impressed with the seafood offerings and I plan to return and order a different seafood on each visit. This visit I ordered the scallops which were perfectly prepared. The brussels sprouts were a good side with the scallops. The menu is a change from the same old, same old one finds everywhere. There is also an appetizer menu with a great selection to include crab cakes, clams, alligator, crab claws, and more. A child's menu to entice even the picky eater. My fiancé and I tried this place out for the first time last night. We were able to snag a last minute reservation for 2 (and a baby). We were there for an hour and a half total but because of the great service, good drinks and amazing food it did not feel that long. We tried the fried alligator for a starter, for drinks we tried the Peach Please & the Beached Cat, and for dinner we had the grilled chicken & filet mignon each served with a mouth watering loaded baked potato. They also served complimentary rolls & honey butter. So good! I ordered a grilled cheese and fries for my child and he liked the fries, didn't eat the grilled cheese, which is typical for him. It was one of the best grilled cheeses I've tried in a long time! For dessert we got the crème brulee and crème brûlée cheesecake. We will be back, worth the $$$ read more

I just had my wife's birthday celebration there with 3 other couples and it was very disappointing. The service was horrible (e.g.; sauces for fish dinners delivered 10 minutes after dinner served, wine ordered before dinner served after dinner finished, dessert served before dinner dishes cleared, 2 of the 5 steaks served were very tough, and many other poor service examples. I'm only sending this hoping it helps them improve before they open the Huntsville restaurant which is a lot closer to me than the 30 miles they are now. read more

My wife & I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary here. It was delicious!!! Started with the Firecracker Shrimp and it didn't disappoint. Then we went with the Caesar salad and Tom's special with 4 kinds of steak skewers and veggies! The meat was perfectly cooked and had a nice char on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside. Finished it all off with a cream brûlée cheesecake! Wow! Maybe the best part of our life experience was our server Julia. She was sweet, prompt, very knowledgeable about the menu choices and when asked for suggestions she was right there to offer! Everything was on time and perfectly spaced from appetizer to dessert. We dined at Tom Browns on Saturday evening. Made reservations for 8:45, arrived at 8:30, and were seated immediately. The experience was exceptional! Our server, Justin was personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and detail-oriented throughout the evening. To start the evening we ordered the Lavender lemon drop, Smoked Manhattan, and Fried Green Tomatoes. I know these will be go-to items going forward. For entrees, we had the Redfish with sweet potatoes and the New Zealand Elk with garlic mashed potatoes. The redfish was seasoned perfectly with a splash of citrus. The Elk was tender and melted in your mouth. To finish off the meal we had the Vanilla and Salted Caramel Crunch Cake (I think that's what it was called), great flavor and not overly sweet. Even though it's the holidays and the restaurant was busy we were out by 10. The attentive service and flavorful menu will bring us back! read more
