Flavorless pizza - has no sauce. We ate this pizza going what is wrong with it. Lifted the cheese and underneath there was virtually no sauce. They put sauce by the crust so you can see it, but underneath, where it's hidden there is virtually none. Terrible pizza. read more

We ordered a few pizzas for takeout. Fun atmosphere in the restaurant - would like to come back to sit down inside. It is very small though so would probably have to come early! The service was great, they were very friendly and let us know how long until the pizzas were ready. We ordered some appetizers and a thin crust and thick crust pizza. The fries were amazing but the garlic bread and poppers were just okay. The pizza was good, but nothing special in my opinion. I had heard a lot of hype so was expecting a little something special from it. It felt like there wasn't a lot of topping (sauce and cheese) on either of the pizzas which definitely made the thick crust one seem a little too bready. Also note, thick crust is more of a hand tossed rather than a traditional thick crust. Overall, it was good and we'll go back to try out some more of the pizza flavors! Would love to go in and sit down for a drink and a pizza some time as well. read more

Stumbled across the Riverview Inn while seeking out the Honeygoats band on a Sunday afternoon. There is a small deck area behind the main building and parking lot. This is somewhat oddly situated, but they made it work. A nice little outdoor bar area on the deck. My wife wanted to see the band and the Honeygoats did not disappoint. At dusk when the band was quitting it was getting rather dark on the deck. If they had any ambiance lighting on the deck it wasn't turned on and should have been. On this particular afternoon, cans of Coke on the deck cost $2 while a can of Keystone Light cost $1. I suppose only in Wisconsin is a beer cheaper than a soda. The Riverview Inn feels much more like a restaurant than a tavern. The interior is decorated in the up north log decor. The dining area is fairly small with about 10 tables. I think Riverview Inn is best known for their pizza. We were able to order our pizza and ask that it be brought out back to the deck area. Service was relatively quick considering the larger crowd on a Sunday evening. We had a large thin crust cheese, sausage with onions & mushrooms at a cost of about $18. The pie had an ample amount of toppings. The edge of the crust was just the right amount of crispness. All in all a pretty good pizza. This was far from fine dining, but sometimes a pie and a dollar beer are all you need. read more

A coworker suggested this place for pizza and finally made it tonight. The had buy one get one half off appetizers as a special so we got the fried pickle chips and mozzarella sticks. Both were great! The mozzarella sticks we were told are hand wrapped. They are also sprinkled with some sort of seasoned Parmesan. We ordered the large thin crust Christmas tree pizza. It had sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, black olives, and green peppers. It came out shortly after we finished our apps. It was beautiful and very hot, fresh from the oven. The crust was cracker thin but substantial enough to support all the toppings. The cheese was plentiful and the toppings were all fresh. The sauce was good but could have been a bit more flavorful. Overall it was a good pizza. The interior of the place is rustic, log cabin style. Not a lot of tables and a small bar. I found it cozy! The service was also good. The is patio dining out back but it was a bit chilly, so we didn't check it out. Maybe next time? I'll definitely come back and I'm happy to have another pizza option in town! read more

We were visiting Port Washington and a friendly local suggested this quaint little restaurant 10 minutes away in Saukville, WI. The owner is super nice as are all the employees. The pizza is a family recipe dating back over 50 years. Lisa offers pizza in thin , medium or thick crusts. The meats and cheeses are locally sourced and delicious. This place has a pretty cool atmosphere. It kind of had a dive bar feel (which I like). Seating is very limited and the service was quick. The pizza came highly recommended so that is what we got along with a few old fashions. They have a few crust options and we went with the thin crust. Overall, both my friend and I thought the pizza was just okay. The crust was crispy but kind of tasted like a cracker. Not great. The sauce, cheese and toppings all tasted good. Awesome experience! Super friendly people, cozy dining area and great, reasonably priced food. Pickle/Bacon/Ranch pizza rocked and the fries were piping hot and delicious. Enjoyed the "arty" sauce with our fries. Staff was very cool about our sometimes noisy 2 little kiddos and even gave them a little treat after dinner for them 'being good'. Let's start with I'm not a huge pizza fan, but my family enjoys it. Considering myself a "foodie", it's just really not my go-to meal. However, my first time walking into this 1940's cabin, I knew there was just something about it I was going to love. Little did I know it was going to be the pizza! It's always the small places that have the biggest impact. I quickly fell in love, making this our go to pizza spot. Fast forward, I was devastated when I heard they shut down. However, after a hot, eventful day boating on the lake, we were on our way back home and I was saying how I was craving their pizza, warm staff and cozy cabin atmosphere. My husband said he heard that they might have reopened. Not being confident in what he heard I called them and to my surprise, they were re-open! I was elated! We quickly decided to stop in and boy was it almost like going to your grandparents cabin up north for a fresh cooked meal. Their pizza is deliciously good! Nothing pairs better with pizza than a fresh cold beer. They're tap beer is always crisp. We've had mixed cocktails as well that have been delicious too. *Bonus, they have a tiki bar outside and bon fire nights where you can bake your own pudgy pie over open fire. Best pizza in Saukville! This place is run just part time so check the pictures to see the hours it is open since they are a bit funky. I golf up the road a good amount and when I can, I stop by to grab a pizza and a drink afterwards. It is in the lower level of a house and is very small so be ready to wait or sit at the bar that holds all of about 5 people. The thin crust pizza rivals that of any of the great MKE places. They have a few tap beers, a limited wine selection, and can make your standard mix drinks. I have sat at the bar a few times and during summer you can eat outside on what seems like the family's personal deck and play bags. read more

Visit from July 2020. Wow! Above and beyond service here! We ordered a pizza from here on Tuesday and once my husband got home we realized that we had gotten the wrong one. It was raining hard and there was no time to catch the mistake...it was curbside service. Only problem was that we live about 20 minutes from the restaurant.  I was disappointed but called the restaurant  hoping for our money back. I spoke with Lisa, the owner/manager and told her the situation.  I also told her we live about 20 minutes away, in  Adell which is in sheboygan county so we were not able to go back since  my husband picked it up on his way home. Our house is not in their delivery area. After explaining this to Lisa she  said "I'll make you a new one and bring it out", and I was like, "to Adell"?  And she said "yes" and then I said "do you know where Adell is"????And she said "we got it wrong, we will fix it" and guess what they definitely did....and  in record time.  The pizza was amazing and I honestly cannot say enough about their customer service. As we all know, Covid-19 has changed everything,  so to find a restaurant that wants to go above and beyond  when they are likely struggling along with the rest of us, well...that is truly amazing! They probably lost money on our order but cared more about customer service and that is rare these days. We just flew in from Las Vegas and still had an hour drive to our destination. We were hungry! I like to try local spots so we found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint! By far the best pizza I have found within the Milwaukee area! I use up my pizza punch cards quickly. It's more of an order-out type of place as the seating is quite limited when it's winter. They do have an outside area for summer. Lisa does a great job running this place! read more

We had this at work a couple months back and by the time I got around to having some it had been sitting out for a couple hours, even then I thought it was good. I would put down a ZERO rating if I could. The pizza is nothing like it used to be. Crust is no longer the same size and the taste is no where near as good. A16 inch pizza looks to be about 12 inches. The sausage is not the same, it has much more fat and bone chunks in it and it was burnt on top of it! The last time I was in, I had to wait 2 1/2 hours for my food. I later found out the entire staff prior to new owners take over, has quit. That's the kind of thing that makes you go.... hmmmm? The current staff seems lost, can not keep their orders straight and delivered several wrong orders during my visit. I will not be back and will tell others about my poor experience. read more

Very good Pizza! Solid 4 maybe even 4.5 stars. We ordered takeout and they estimated 30 to 40 min. It took almost 50 which is the only knock and why not 5 stars. As others have said the dining room is quite small so my tip on the size of the parking lot makes more sense to me now, if not enough room to park there may not be enough room to sit lol. We ordered the thin crust but you can order thick or homemade which seems to be their version of hand tossed. The ingredients were all fresh which was a pleasant surprise. Fresh mushrooms, nice large hunks of fresh sausage, and nice thick slices of premium pepporoni. Not the thin fatty stuff most places have that can crisp and burn so easily but rather a nice meaty pepporoni that "cupped" when cooked with little crispy edges but still good pepperoni taste. The sausage could have used some more seasoning for my taste, maybe a little more fennel? Again, minor knock. The crust was nice and crisp and thin enough to feel thin crust bit thick enough to actually be able to hold a longer slice of za, not the cracker thin crust that some places serve. There was some nice color on the crust but no real char or leopard spotting. It was very filling, most thin crust I can eat almost half a pizza myself, lol. 4 pieces and I was full! My family has enjoyed there classic sausage pizza since I was a kid (I almost 50 now). Their pizza is unique. You will not find a sausage pizza anywhere like it. We my brother visits, he always requests we get a pizza from Riverview. We usually do carry out. If you decide to dine in, the seating and bar is small and cozy. Sorry, I can not comment/review on their other pizzas/food because we are so impassioned with their sausage pizza. read more

Riverview Inn was recommended through a co-worker and touted as being exceptional pizza. After reading other reviews it seemed to be a done deal and I was ready for some awesome pizza. Since the restaurant is small I decided to go there and order carryout (as was recommended by the co-worker plus so I could see the menu). After placing the order I was informed that it would take 30 minutes. Drove to a nearby park and walked for 30 minutes and came back. I was then informed that the pizza hadn't even been started yet. Okay... I was then told it would be at least another 30 minutes. I drove back into Saukville and came back about 40 minutes later. The pizza was done but I was disappointed that nobody from Riverview seemed to care that they wasted my time. Call me old fashioned but something like an apology, discount, coupon or anything would have been nice. Very poor customer service. As I've read elsewhere, if you're not a regular you don't seem to get the same kind of treatment (I made mention that this was my first time there...you'd think I'd get better service in order to make a lasting first impression...impression made). Poor customer skills aside, the pizza was average at best. I'm not sure why people are bragging about this place being so awesome. I doubt I'll ever go back. For the price I can get more pizza and better tasting pizza just about anywhere else. Back when I was in middle and high school I made pizza for 6 years so hopefully my word stands for something...this doesn't compete. Over hyped. Riverview Inn - The Next Generation?
