A great stop for lunch while skiing on the mountain. It is more tucked away at the bottom of the Chicane and Another World runs. I have only been to two of the restaurants on the mountain. Tombstone Grill and Red Pine Lodge and I definitely prefer Tombstone Grill over Red Pine Lodge. We spent the majority of the week over in the Canyon area. They've got BBQ here and you can also order from their bar as well. Definitely great food to fuel your ski day. It as a smaller dining area, so make sure you grab a table as soon as you see one open up. read more

Nice place to grab a bite at Park City Resort if you are looking for some good mountain food. Tombstone BBQ is located at the base of Tombstone Express. This place serves up BBQ favorites like brisket, pulled pork and wings that are smoked daily. Store your gear at the ski racks out front and then jump in line to order your food at the register. There is a separate line for alcohol. Just keep in mind that lines can get long around lunch time. I ordered some BBQ wings and tots before heading back to the slopes. A beautiful awesome day amazing people of the world. Today we are in Park City Ski Resort in Utah. Anybody that snowboard or ski knows that you can get pretty famished while doing some shred sesh. Which brings us to Tombstone Barbecue. Let's begin shall we. First sandwich is the pulled pork. Looks legit,, the smoke flavor is present and the taste is just right. Sauce must be added to help it along. 7.5 out of 10. The brisket is actually up there. This is definitely the stronger one between the two meats that we ordered. Fat, smoke and flavor all present. This can get an 8.7 out of 10. If you're ever shredding around in the Resort. Do give this spot a try, I highly recommend it. If you like discovering new spots to smash away. Fast service, friendly staff, but overpriced mediocre food. Unfortunately, sandwiches are the only option we have for food with coleslaw. After price tag shock at Beaver Creek on mountain cafeteria (also Vail owns), I found this place refreshing! Both in price, ambience and quality. Brisket is soft and tender, tater tots and mac and cheese hit the spot..the sweet potatoes is probably the most interesting...coz it's not the orange yam looking one we are familiar with...it looked like the Asian sweet potatoes except it's as big as a football and sweeter. I would skip the wings and pull pork imo. Tips: if you want the brisket, but don't care for brisket sandwich, order the sweet potatoes and add $6 for a hearty serving of the brisket!! read more

Tombstone grill was the best on the mountain food I've had at PC and Canyons resort. The Brisket sandwich was huge!! And the tots came out hot. The only problem is the dining area inside is super small... you most likely won't get a table and will need to eat out side. Scarf that good down quick before your tator tots start to feel like frozen hash browns. The service here was very apt, and they brought the food out quick! First of all I LOVE this place, but I HATE that the prices are outrageously high, but considering it is on a ski mountain accessible only to skiers and the other options for on mountain eating are less desirable, at least the food is excellent here. The beef brisket is fantastic and I highly recommend this dish. For sure, the tater tots are outstanding and that may sound funny, but they have the perfect sie, crunch and are great for sharing. The pulled pork is excellent and is definitely tasty. The drinks are standard, and the service is quite friendly. Other than the high prices, this place rocks. read more

Who builds a brand new central mountain food location at a major world ski resort with good BBQ but limited indoor seating? Who are the planners, same ones who create an ambience that can't compete with the antler resort 20' down the street, difference between a big corporation and a business that really takes care of its customers when you spend 200 bucks to ski! Went from a dive to brand new building and now limited indoor seating, go figure ... Fast operation as the meat is all precooked and it gets served almost as fast as they can process the orders How is it, not as good as the best in Texas but darn tasty and tender as they smoke it here out back. Order and get a buzzer and the wait for your food and circle like a vulture for any indoor seating or brave it and sit outside and hope / plan for good weather. Brisket was a solid 4 stars, tender and tasty and worthy, the cornbread was good but the coleslaw portion was skimpy and forgettable Pulled pork according to a Aggies alumni was dry and just passable and 3 stars. Tombstone BBQ at the Canyon Ski Resort is very good with good prices. If you have the Epic Pass you also get a discount. We ordered the brisket sandwich, smoked chicken wings, and the tater tots. All were good but the smoked wings were outstanding! I highly recommend if you are near there. read more

The manager made my 10 year old granddaughter cry. they gave her a buzzer they use to let you know when your food is ready that didn't work. when she asked for the food after lengthy time they told her that they didn't have her food,when I got involved they gave me an attitude. if I could give less then one star I would. this place is a complete disaster. OMG, my husband got the brisket and I got the sweet potato. The total bill was a gazillion dollars but holy hell that was the best sweet potato that I have ever had. It had jalapeños, cheese, sour cream and some type of fairy magic to make it the best thing that I have ever eaten. Was it the elevation? Working up an appetite from 4 hours of non stop skiing? Not sure. It was delicious! Sooo crazy good. The one fight my husband and I had on the entire trip was him trying to talk me out of having lunch there again on our second day of skiing. By the time I talked him into it it was 1:30 pm and they were out of sweet potatoes. I was so sad and hangry. He thought I was crazy to be mad at him over a sweet potato but I was... My expectations are always pretty low for on-mountain food while skiing but the smoked chicken sandwich here couldn't even hit that. One of the worst sandwiches I have ever had - full of fat and gristle. It was seriously almost inedible - dipping the bun in the BBQ sauce was the best bite of the meal. Indoor seating is extremely limited too. My wife and kids got up to use the bathroom and I had to guard the table with my life to make sure we didnt lose any chairs. But hey you are skiing and our favorite run of the week (Harmony) is nearby so just enjoy that and just stick to a beer and skip the sandwich.... read more

Lost in Park City Mountain, found this gem in "The Colony" next to the Timberline lift. Slight confusion where to order, there are 2 different sections. You order at one trailer and you pick up your food at the trailer next to it. Friendly order taker. They announce your order number over the intercom when your food is ready. Plenty of restrooms. They have some cool plastic rocking chairs to relax while enjoying the atmosphere. Ordered the beef brisket sandwich and the pulled chicken breast sandwich. Comes with cornbread and coleslaw. You can opt to have double cornbread instead of coleslaw (we're not huge fans of coleslaw). The pulled chicken breast was so tender and tasty. You can apply Tombstone BBQ sauce yourself (which I highly recommend). The cornbread comes with honey butter. It melts in your mouth. My husband stated the beef brisket was just as delicious. We decided to pay for expensive food on the slopes. We paid $75 for two brisket sandwich, one pulled pork, a beer, and tater tot chili. Wow, who knew a random BBQ spot on the mountain can be so good? This is the perfect place for a lunch break on a nice day (only outdoor seating). Highlights are the pulled pork sandwich and the tater tots. Highly recommended! The pulled pork was delicious, tender and superrrrr smoky. The tater tots were super crispy (so as expected, they were also super oily but who cares! you deserve it after skiing/boarding all morning!). We also got the wings which was less exciting and pretty average. Unfortunately the hours weren't reliable. The pulled pork and tater tots were so good we wanted to go back on our last day at Park City/Canyons. Website says lunch is serve until 3pm, but we got there a little after 2:30 and they were done serving already. We were both SO SAD, which speaks to how much we enjoy the food the first time. Little upset with you discriminatory, segregation V dinning policy in some of your restaurants. I have mily B but chose to eat crap snacks, outside in freezing cold because you weren't letting all people in your restaurant on mountain. Not ok. If your going to do this..make them pay less and give them the same accommodation in a different part of inside dinning with the same access to food. OMG these guys have a bbq smoker on the mountain! Only in America. They have a selection of BBQ sandwiches, beef brisket, pulled pork and the Tombstone chicken wings, which are the best I've eaten. Sides include slaw, tater tots and corn bread. All cooked to order, cold drinks, beers and some hot drinks available. Portions are a fair size so a good tip is go with friends and share some plates so you can still ride the rest of the day. Outdoor seating with a great music soundtrack of mostly classic rock and alternative. It does get busy at lunch so go just before or after. They're cooking out of food truck.They don't have their smoker yet ( ok the ski season is well under way let's get it together)so their wings are not smoked like they were last year. They are fried. Amazing food, fantastic location, we ordered some pulled pork sandwiches and they came with cornbread and a salad and IT WAS CHEAP. Everything in Park City is expensive, and especially since it was on the mountain, I thought it was going to be a complete rip off, but it was a great deal and a full meal. You can't even find this quality at this price at restaurants in town. You can also get chili and other things. The food was SOOOOO GOOD!!! The service was great; we got our food quickly and the chef/BBQer, Mitch, was super friendly and made the experience much more enjoyable.
