This was my first time at the Pig Pen, and everyone in our group enjoyed it all. It's slope-side, so was a mix of us skiers doing the Apres thing, as well as others from the street. Crowd was a wide mix of ages as well. There's a huge wrap around porch many were enjoying, but since our week was mostly blue bird sunny Spring days, we took a break and sat inside (see pics). There was a wide selection of drinks, beers (incl. 5-6 on draft), and a few wines. We got a pitcher and some apps. I can highly recommend their Bflo wings which were cooked perfectly. Pig pan has been our Apres ski spot fir years. Since it is a bar, in Utah one needs to be 21 years old to enter. Apres ski menu starts at 3 pm. The chili cheese fries and nachos are favorites. They now have a special you buy a shot and you can get a T shirt for $10. read more

After a morning of snowboarding in the cold, we snagged a table at the Pig Pen Saloon to take a break and refuel. Because this is a full bar, people under the age of 21 will not be allowed and I saw the waitress really cracking down on checking IDs. There's also no outside food and drinks allowed. Pig Pen Burger: To be honest, not a really good burger. Without ketchup or mayonnaise, it's dry and has no flavor. Comes with a bag of chips. Beer Cheese and Pretzels: A better option than the burger, although not quite as filling. Comes with 4 sticks and a side of beer cheese and mustard. I had to shake off some salt but a bite with some hot beer cheese really warms you up. We also tried some of their cocktails to warm ourselves up even more. They had some unique ones served inside plastic bags, almost like a Capri-Sun. I thought the purpose of the bags was so we could bring it out but there's no alcohol outside of the restaurant. It's pricey but expected since we were at a ski resort. Despite the negative reviews related to poor service, I thought our waitress was super friendly and nice. We were going to eat our own food but she nicely explained that it wasn't allowed and that was that. We didn't have any terrible experience. Just wished the food was better! read more

If you want proper apres ski at the base of Park City Mountain, look no further than The Pig Pen Saloon. It absolutely FEELS like a ski town apres spot. Nachos, wings, beer? They've got 'em. A great spot to watch skier's come down the mountain? You bet. A surprisingly robust list of cocktails that are actually quite delicious? Yuuuup! The only downside of The Pig Pen are that the bathrooms are a long way to walk in ski boots (and they are NOT well-taken care of - which we found out is because the restrooms are actually part of the HOA and apparently there's some serious nepotism happening with the HOA company's owner's son running the show, but that's neither here nor there). Also, the service on the patio is a little spotty but it's not awful - and the servers were all super nice. read more

This is our second trip to Park City for ski week, the first was in 2023 right after Christmas and we had all the storms. While the family was on the mountain and the main lodge was crowded, I wondered into the Saloon and was pleasantly surprised on how spacious it was. There were plugs so I could get some work done! The staff was friendly and they were playing good music. I ordered the soup in a bread bowl, it was delicious. My only complaint is the restrooms were outside , a s complaint, but as I was solo for most of my day at the saloon, I didn't want to pack up all my stuff to go use it. I was pretty nervous coming here due to the recent negative reviews but I'm really glad we came anyways. Our first stop in we had drinks and the pretzel appetizer which was sooo yummy. Funny because I wasn't even going to leave a review but when I came to yelp to check it out the two most recent reviews are 1-2 stars with the same exact issue we had. The staff is not friendly! From the moment we sat down the attitude from the bartender (not all of them but one in particular) was really bad. It felt like everything we asked was upsetting her. Then I heard her be extremely rude to two customers that walked in right after us and they ended up turning around and leaving immediately. Could have just been a bad day for her so I feel sorry if that's what it was but it really made for a bad time in there and I'll probably be hitting any other place on the mountain except here next time. Nachos were warm at best but the shredded chicken was sweetly delicious. We also had the chili cheese fries (yum & hearty) & chicken wings. The sweet Thai sauce on thee wings had a great kick. The star of the food show were the mini donut holes and Carmel dipping sauce. Service was good. The benches are not made for lingering or for short people! I was really excited to see a bar at the bottom of a hill in Utah, but the bartender was one of the rudest people I have ever met in my life. She treated me like I was the scum underneath her shoe. As I was walking out I poured the rest of my drink in the plastic cups provided at the doorway, and being a Nevada resident I assumed that was ok. This woman ran up to me and yelled "can't you read?!!!" That is how she approached me. I responded to her "please don't talk to me like I'm stupid." She said she didn't call me stupid. SEMANTICS. Very convenient, right at the end of the run. You can watch everyone coming down the mountain if you get a seat by the window. Cozy little place. I do wish it had a fireplace or fire pit to make it seem more cozy.
