Came here with my friends since we were in the area; we arrived around 5:50pm on a Tuesday evening. There is a small parking lot in the front and another parking lot behind it (which may be for another plaza but has parking spots + a short walk). Once you get to the door you sign in or ring the bell if no one comes out within a minute. We were immediately seated but this place is small. I believe it was 2 tables and then the rest is bar space. I opted for their miso butter corn scallop ramen (add egg +2). Miso soup base with pork belly, kirurage, menma, green onion, butter, corn, baby scallops, medium wavy noodles, bean sprouts, onion, napa, leek, ground chicken. I don't really enjoy the napa/leek combo for the ramen but that's only my personal preference. The butter that they give you - they do not hold back. It was a solid 3tbps block of butter just sitting in there. (Maybe ask them to get it on the side and split this with someone LOL) The pork belly is extremely flavorful and melts in the mouth (or was that with the addition of the butter). The broth at the end of the day was flavorful but for me, needed an extra kick of spice to it. Prob would have to ask how to get this in spicy form. There are so many ingredients here that this is definitely going to satisfy your craving and will make you full. I kept asking how much more I had when I kept scooping up more noodles. Their scallops were interesting and their egg was runny and good after I let it cook a little. All in all, this place is solid for ramen and I enjoyed the different things they did here with 'em. So I'll score it lowest. 2/5 The broth smelled amazing and it's the best Ingredient followed by the pork with its sweet smoky taste. I love mushrooms and bamboo stalk and chives. First time here! Food was delicious nothing bad all I would say is the sauce on top of the gyoza was a bit much took away the flavor of the gyoza itself but it wasn't my issue. When first walking in neither I or my boyfriend were greeted coming in didn't feel welcomed, felt as if we interrupted something between co workers and their conversations about their outside lives, I do understand it's a small place and voices or conversations would be heard of course! But it got to the point where I felt I was also in the conversation as well, the gentleman that helped us was nice and polite but the girl who worked with him wasn't attentive, and was on her phone quite a few times, she seemed to only really want to talk to her co worker about her life and only seen her interact with customers a few times but left the gentlemen handle it more than herself. Looking for a place open late night, we found Tomizo ramen. Its a small restaurant with a counter and a few tables. Nice casual environment with modern Japanese music. Tried the miso ramen, shoyu ramen and fried rice. Soup was nice and hot. The shoyu had a good distinct flavor of fish. The noodles were medium thick and wavy with a firm and chewy texture. This place is located in a small plaza in Gardena. Parking is very limited!! We wish Ted about 10 min on a Sunday night although the inside is pretty small. I've been really curious about this ramen place and I'm so glad we decided to stop by for take out today. Going to Hokkaido has been on my bucket list so I was definitely looking forward to trying some Hokkaido Miso Ramen! It was easy to order online through the Yelp app, Grubhub, or Doordash. We tried the following: -Tsukemen: Thick, chewy noodles that you dip in a rich tonkotsu broth. Served with pork belly chashu with a rice and fatty flavor. Also served with egg which was perfectly seasoned and soft boiled. I think it's the best egg I've ever had in ramen! -Miso Butter Corn Scallop Ramen: Chewy wavy noodles in a delicious umami miso broth topped with 5 pieces of baby scallops, butter and corn. Definitely the best ramen I've had in a really long time! Highly recommend and would definitely get again. The only regret I had was not ordering a side topping of egg. The parking lot is small and they had a couple tables outside for patio seating. Since we ordered our ramen to go, the ramen wasn't as hot and fresh as I would have liked it but it was packaged well with the broth separate from the noodles. You can eat the ramen out of the bowl and comes with disposable utensils (chopstick, fork, spoon, napkin). This place opened during the middle of COVID and I'm glad they survived. I actually have not eaten AT the restaurant yet, but I know the plaza and I know the shops are small. My review will be for takeout. I think they do their ramen takeout really well. Probably because, again, they opened during the height of COVID when dining in was not yet allowed. The packaging is good. The noodles are kept separate from the broth. My personal favorite is the tsukemen. I usually prefer tsukemen to regular ramen, and have been looking for a solid tsukemen spot in the South Bay area for a while. Tsujita Ramen is a little far to get to, especially with traffic, and their ramens are pretty much $20 at this point. So to find a good alternative, probably second best I've tried outside of Japan, was a win for me. I like that they package the tsukemen with a small container of dashi, and a set of instructions, which tell you to pour the dashi on the noodles to loosen them up and put all toppings in the dipping broth. Out of the traditional ramen options, I like their miso scallop butter ramen, which is probably less traditional than the typical spicy miso or tonkotsu. It has a wonderful depth of flavor and the butter flavor gives extra richness and umami. I can't wait to get a sitter one day and actually try the ramen at the shop. But until then, I will continue to order it to go. read more

Found this restaurant after battling traffic at LAX for over an hour, and it was the best decision we've ever made to feed ourselves! The server greeted us promptly when we arrived at the door. The atmosphere was super cozy and cheerful, especially with the Christmas tree in the corner that was decorated with Cup Noodle plushies! We got to order quickly since we were the only party at the time, and our dishes came out fast too. We ordered the Miso Ramen, Spicy Miso Ramen, and the Shoyu Ramen. The spicy one had a nice kick, and I really enjoyed the shoyu broth. The noodles also had the perfect thickness and chewy texture, all for a very reasonable price! They also had some flyers around advertising their matcha milk with boba and fresh strawberry milk, so I caved and tried the strawberry milk. The drink came with a heart-shaped straw, which I found to be suuuper cute, and the strawberry purée really brought out a strong, delightful taste in combination with the milk. Do not sleep on this Ramen spot. I came by earlier this evening around 540ish pm. It was my first time and I had the miso ramen. The vegetables , mushrooms , pork , it tasted so fresh, and I thought the broth was very tasty. I also ordered the egg and that came out perfectly cooked to end the meal with the ramen. We visited this ramen shop for the first time at a Sunday night. It was not busy which is great. We were able to grab the last parking spot in the front. If there is no spot left, I assume you could park in the bigger log behind sharing with all the other business. I am not sure about it. We got fried dumplings, dipping ramen and a tonkustu ramen. Overall flavor of these 3 things are on the salty side. The noodle texture is spot on tho. The ramen is hokaido style as I heard. I think it's the type that usually Japanese people would eat a bowl of rice with. I didn't and it tasted very salty. Husband got the dipping ramen and he liked it. He said it was a bit salty as well. We got a couple of drinks to share and that helped. Yuzu soda has a great flavor and extra refreshness.
