Savory and probably some of the fastest service I've experienced in some time, I got the edamame which was nothing short of garlic which I love and the fried gyoza had cream cheese on top of it which was so wonderful to bite into. The fact that the gyoza where freshly fried made the cream cheese melt right on the tongue. The ramen was so good a perfect amount of spicy and the broth was creamy just how I like it. I have came here before & I loved it but today I was so disappointed because I wanted to add a boiled egg to my spicy miso ramen & they said they couldn't add it because it did not come in the ramen & they were running low so they didn't sell it to me. A big part of my love for ramen is egg. The amount of soup was very low I think they try to stretch the soup & everything so they don't have to make more since it was 3 hours before closing. We came here last Friday after working at home all day and was pleasantly surprised. This place is very small but the waitresses were great and the food was good as well. I have to give extra points to the owner for making these two dishes we got that night at very good quality levels. The dipping noodles came out on a plate with the dipping sauce piping hot. This is exactly how a dipping noodle should be served, so THANK you to the owner who made this. I also like my spicy miso ramen. I really like the flavor and the various veggies (napa and some greenery stuff ) that it came with. I normally don't get this in ramen but I'm so glad they put the veggies in. I have eaten here about 4 times and it is now my neighborhood (feeling blessed) staple for whenever I have a craving for some consistently damn good quality bowl of noods. Their noodles always have the perfect chew, thicc just like I like em. The broth may seem salty at first but coats the noodles perfectly for a bite of umami heaven. There is a little arrangement of veggies to balance everything out. Only thing missing is a cold draft of asahi to wash it down but I don't think they have their liquor license. Tamizo is a great place! Very yummy and nice workers. Going there is always my preference but you can also order Grubhub! Make sure you specify if you want spice but press the button for the 50cent up charge. If you miss it call and they can update it on your order but try not to let that happen because it may cause unnecessary frustration. I didn't mind being charged .50 it was more that I have asked in person and they never charged so I was uncertain why that happened when I called. Plus I seriously didn't see the button or I would have pressed it! I honestly would of paid it with no hesitation.. Anyways although I had an anxiety attack mid conversation things worked out. Yes over the stinking sauce. Pretty sure it was a miscommunication but it's important that my food is good especially for the price of things these days. I love mixing noodle (maze soba/ramen). It's always been one my favorite type of dish ever since I had it in Japan. Tomizo offers a nice version of their own flavor and style. The chef/owner is actually an ex-employee (chef) from Umenoya Ramen if you guys know where that is. They also serve (or served) mixing noodle, but Tomizo arranged it to their style, and it's always great to taste other dish variety. Definitely coming back for more! read more

This is my favorite ramen spot in LA. Every time I come the ramen is piping hot, broth is so flavorful, the pork is tender, and it's always quick! I customize mine and only get it with green onion, corn, ginger, and chashu because I'm a little simple when it comes to my ramen and not a big fan of the other ingredients but it works for me every time. Ordered some ramen and chicken Karaage for delivery. Spicy miso for me and shoyu ramen for my better half. The ramen was cooked perfectly and the soup was delicious. It was a little different with raw kale and Napa cabbage atop the ramen. The ramen also came with a soft boiled egg which is soooo gooood!!!! Can't want to try this at the restaurant someday when we are comfortable with going out again. There's so many ramen places in the Southbay but this one is uniquely different. Didn't really understand the concept of pickup times since my order was ready and getting cold when I arrived but didn't get a text saying it was ready. Our first time here... Loved the flavors and portion size + service was really charming and excellent. The chef is from Hokkaido which is the style of Ramen served here. Commence the slow clap............... When I almost lost all hope in Gardena providing a good Ramen option .... Tomizo saved the day! My family and I have tried two highly rated ramen restaurants in Gardena and we Underwhelmed.... que the one eyebrow raise..... I gave Tomizo a shot and all is well. The Spicy ramen and the Asahikawa were packed with flavor and the egg noodle was a very yummy and welcomed change. Ok, first of all, love it! Why? Because it's not a copy of all the tonkotsu style ramen places out there. They went with a Hokkaido style miso (japanese soy bean paste), with has to be a tonkotsu (usually pork/chicken bone broth) and dashi (a fish based broth) to make a very nice easy to eat delicious broth. I happened to get the spicy miso, with a side order of gyoza (pork potsticker usually which is fried/steamed). The gyoza had a good balanced taste of i think some form of cabbage and pork meat, so it wasn't heavy at all, It will appeal to most. It does come with a soy/vinegar? It wasn't very vinegary but sauce was right on, with the layu (spicy sesame oil, just dump the orange oil into the soy sauce and dunk your gyoza in there. Ok back to the ramen, the creamy look of the ramen broth i think confirms the tonkotsu style, but also could be a lighter miso (soy bean paste comes in light to dark styles). The ramen had the dark ear mushrooms, napa cabbage, bean sprouts, green onion and i think shungiku, a green leafy vegetable used in a lot of japanese dishes and of course 2 slices of charsiu (pork belly slices marinated). I added a ramen egg because i just like them lol. Oh and this ramen egg is cooked so the yolk can just barely ooze out, so perfect! One surprise was i love this yellowish egg noodle? Not sure if it is egg noodle, but i love this thicker type noodle, it was really good. Broth is just spicy enough (not spicy for you spice eating people lol) but has a great flavor and just a tad of spice hits you after. I think this place will be a hit, hopefully it can get past this crazy corona virus take out only times. Anyways, staff was super nice, can't wait to try the karaage next (lightly fried chicken) and maybe their dipped ramen. Take a look at my pics, it will get you hungry. And i will take a better pic of the menu, it was in the window so a lot of reflection, but you will at least get to see what's on the menu. Give them a try! Oh and it's right next to Painters Tape (bfast/lunch place) on Redondo beach blvd. Going west before you hit western ave, it's right before the Tire place, and before Tozai plaza. If you get to Tozai plaza on the corner, just park in their parking lot, might be easier and walk over. read more
