Greg was our server and he was phenomenal, so much so that we came back a second time during our stay (canceled our reservation at the Four Seasons steak house). Food was excellent. All of the appetizers are fantastic : poke, blended goat cheese and macadamia nut, and coconut shrimp. Wife and daughter said it's the best Caesar salads they've ever had. Had Mac crusted fish one night and filet the second (steak was great!!). Son had off menu steak tacos with fresh made guacamole. Live music every night. Overall, this might have been one of the most underwhelming and overpriced dining experiences we have had on Maui over the past 5 years of visits. First the good: the seared ahi tacos were great, as were the scallop sliders. Fresh seafood, crisp bright greens, and super flavorful. The pina colada cake was dreamy, and the service was solid. Next the not so good: cocktails were meh at best. The dark and stormy was luke warm and watered down, and the follow up dirty martini was again luke warm. It's as if drinks were sitting out continuously. The side bread, which was cool looking, was fairly unimpressive in terms of taste or texture. The cinnamon honey sugar was able to help hide that fact though. In terms of main meals - we had 2 Kona rubbed ribeyes - both prepared med rare and near perfect temp. But the Kona char tasted almost burnt, and with little flavor. We actually had to ask for salt and pepper to give some flavor to an otherwise flavorless steak. My wife and daughter had seared AHI and Miso Salmon. While we're fairly flavorful they paled in comparison to meals along the beach we had all week long. Finally the ugly: the key lime pie was a disaster. Tart doesn't begin to describe the sourness. I'm a huge key lime fan but this pie tasted like licking a lime covered in whipped cream. To the restaurants credit, they did remove the pie from the bill and provide a small Thanx credit for our inconvenience showing that the service was again solid. But when you consider the price tag of the meal (should be labeled $$$$ not $$$, and that's coming from a Seattle foodie used to paying too much for food!) and the average food quality - I can't really recommend Tommy Bahamas Wailea for foodies. They have all the elements of what could be a great experience - but the food needs some work. read more

I was a bit skeptical going here since it's a chain, but my auntie and uncle who are locals love this place so I took their lead! This place was DELICIOUS! They swear by their happy hour and we ordered their coconut shrimp, shishito pepper, goat cheese, and martinis! For an entree I ordered their macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi and I cleaned my plate up!! So yum! The service is also amazing and I loved sitting outside in the Maui sun. 10/10 read more

It's rare for a restaurant to get everything right. But the atmosphere, service, friendliness, food & drinks were all top notch! We were on vacation with our family staying around the way at Wailea Beach Resort so this was a short little walk away. We brought our 5 month old & were able to walk right in. Everyone was so nice & our girl was the talk of the town lol. The drinks were strong (happy hour!) & the filet mignon tacos were so delicious! I kept craving them after! We ordered a selection of appetizers since I wasn't that hungry and was craving variety. It ended up being too much food, though - contrary to what some of the Yelp reviews would have me believe, the portions were quite generous. Complimentary bread and cinnamon ginger honey butter: Bread was warm but not inherently special - merely served as a vehicle for the butter, which tasted like Christmas Duo of dips: Loved the pineapple salsa. The guacamole was meh (but I come from California - my guacamole standards are high) Seared scallop sliders: Generously sized sea scallops with a nice mix of texture and tastes - recommend World famous coconut shrimp: A solid version - recommend if you like coconut shrimp Ahi poke: I would take a pass on this next time. Leilani's makes a much better poke. Wasn't a fan of the fried won ton chips (super greasy) and the avocado was meh. Zero proof drinks: We love our mocktails! We have walked by here many times but haven't had time to stop and eat. A friend wanted to celebrate her birthday there so called ahead and reserved a big table for 16(I understand they don't always take reservations) The table was ready when we arrived the hostess was so sweet and patient with our big group. The wait staff came quickly took our drink orders passed out silverware and menus. I wanted the fish tacos which I didn't see on the dinner menu but waitress said that was no problem. Everyones food came out pretty quickly-considering place was very crowded and our group was large, I was impressed we could all start eating at the same time. Our table was outside and had a nice view of palms and the hotel behind the mall. My tacos were delicous I will definately order them when we go again. There is lots of parking, it is usually a pay lot but is free till Jan 1st. Restaurant is upstairs, there are escalators if you parked in the north lot, south lot is on the second level. A great place to make awesome memories. The restaurant is so nice, clean and the staff are very attentive as well as friendly. Came here with reservations at 7pm, but decided to sit in the bar before being seated. We had the best bartender (you're amazing Charlie, and Luke too!). The service was so good, that we ended up staying at the bar and enjoying the delicious food and drink. I was not expecting much from a chain, let alone one associated with a clothing store, but boy was I pleasantly surprised. The staff is friendly and attentive and even went so far as to fix a wobbly table the minute I sat down, without anyone having to point it out. They immediately brought HOT fluffy bread out with the most wonderful butter. I want to say there were hints of cinnamon in it but I could be mistaken. Service was good, would say great but she got busy toward the end of our dinner and we waited a while to get our check, normally I wouldn't even mention something like this, but our little guy was getting restless. The whole reason I'm writing this review though is the food, PLEASE TRY THE GOAT CHEESE DIP, idk if it was being in the water all day and being extra hungry, the lovely cocktail before the appetizer, but my goodness if the skillet it was served in wasn't piping hot I would have licked it!! We had a great lunch here on a Monday noon-time during the COVID pandemic. Tables spaced out allowing for social distancing and max at each table was around 4 people. Reservations recommended (which can be done on OpenTable). For lunch, all of us had a great dish. The best things to order - the Mahi Mahi Reuban, the Filet Mignon salad, and the Blue crab and Avocado salad. I would drive down from the west side of Maui to have another great meal here. First off, amazing food all around. Love the ambiance. Great for larger parties. The service was great from everyone we interacted with, the bread and butter was delicious, and I enjoyed all the dishes our party ordered that I got to try. With that said, not sure what else factored into my perception here, but their grilled baby back pork ribs that night may have just been the best rack of ribs I've ever had. Now I haven't scoured the earth for the most expensive ribs, but ribs have definitely been in my top 5 foods at points of my life, so I've tried them at a lot of places. The ribs here were so tasty, totally fall-off-the-bone, with a bit of a crunch in certain bites that kept it interesting, and well sauced to where I wanted more, but the rub and seasoning they used made it so that when I hit spots without sauce, it was still delicious. Everyone at my table expressed to varying degrees that they either wanted to order the dish in the future or that they wanted more of mine. My compliments to the cook!
