We were looking for a place that we could have a lot of tvs around with the game on, but that would also be good/have food options for our little one. So, after doing a little search, this place popped up. Seems like they have a bunch of locations, including one in KOP. But we went with this Cherry Hill location since it's a bit closer. Even though it was full in the restaurant we didn't have to wait long for a table (maybe 10 minutes, if that). All of the staff were cool and friendly, and our waitress was so great! She gave a really good rundown and suggestions of menu options. So, think we got a bit excited from all her suggestions and underestimated the portion sizes because we ended up with a lot of food! Lol. Wings, shrimp, meatballs, nachos - all pretty decent portions/larger plates. I was even shocked by the "side of bread" being a plate of bread lol. The wings were really good, meatballs were ok, shrimp good and nachos ok too. Our little one enjoyed her Kid's Pizza, which was large than we were expecting for her. Would come back to this location or try out the KOP one.

When a restaurant surprises you with creativity you didn't expect, that's when you know you've found a gem. Tommy's Tavern has a large variety of options with some combinations I haven't experienced or even thought of putting together before. Our waitress was very kind and stopped by to check on us multiple times throughout the meal. There was plenty of seating available for a Sunday afternoon, and the plates of food were flowing out of the open kitchen nonstop. Their sushi is always plated beautifully with thick, generous rolls. The lobster roll was my favorite, delivering a creamy seafood explosion within every bite. The jalapeño on top of the other roll gave it a satisfying crunch, and the heat level was 100% on point. The sushi pizza is an absolute MUST TRY because this dish is only made this way here. The wonton crust topped with all the different ingredients creates a perfect appetizer plate that's both unique and shareable. The blueberry pear flatbread was on their limited menu, and I had to step outside my usual order because I love blueberries. There's a lot of sweetness in every bite, and it reminds me of a fruitier version of French toast. Not bad at all, but you have to be in the mood for something on the sweeter side to order that again. The French onion soup had a thick layer of cheese and was packed with bread pieces throughout, making it hearty and satisfying. All the dishes were so good, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tommy's Tavern. With creative menu options, attentive service, and consistently well-executed food, this spot has earned a place in our regular rotation.

This was our third time at Tommy's but one of the best visits food wise. We started with the French onion soup and decided to share it since we saw photos of it before. It was even better than we imagined. Maybe it was the fact that we were visiting on one of the coldest nights of the year, but the frizzled onions on top really made this version of French onion soup stand out. I got the fried chicken biscuit slider special which came with a southern gravy. My best friend got the full rack of ribs and truffle fries. I tried the ribs and they were so tender and juicy. My sliders were delicious too. We ended the night with the warm brookie with ice cream. From start to finish we loved everything and had a great time. If you're looking for a casual night out, this is a must try.

Fair but not good. Hostess was not particularly friendly. Waiter was sub par, kinda of struggled with a couple simple requests - for example "Can I have some water?" Didn't happen until reminded later when the food came out. All menu items we ordered were mixed. Some acceptable and some were just not executed well. I think for the price I'd go elsewhere.

Everything Was Good! Let's just start off with that. This was an unfamiliar restaurant in a familiar place. My intentions was to visit what used to be here and I was hesitant at first but I thought, for it to take this space, it had to do good work. That is exactly what they did. The design was different in a very good way. I had no complaints about the old way but this design brings everyone together. I do wonder how it is when there's a night game. Oh, if you didn't know, this is what I would call a sports bar. TVs everywhere. If you miss the action, it's because you're face down in the food; which I would totally understand. When we walked in, the greeting was energetic and friendly. I was immediately seated and our waiter was friendly and helpful. There was a lot to consume on the menu so she helped us narrow down our choices. I was upset with myself because I chose that day to start my responsible eating which means I could eat no more than half of what I ordered. So I chose to eat half of everything because it all looked delicious. I am not one that likes leftovers, especially from sit-down restaurants. This is the first time I've taken food home in decades but after warming the food up the next day in the air fryer, it still made me close my eyes and shake my head in disbelief. They had multiple games on but I was there to see one game. E.A.G.L.E.S! of course. I had to leave at halftime because I wanted to get on the road so I can miss the beltway traffic and things weren't looking too good for my boys so we pulled out but not before registering for the rewards program. Always sign up for rewards programs! Sure, there may come a day that you walk in and your food is already waiting for you at your favorite table and you're wondering how did they know you were coming in on this day and you wanted this meal but... pros and cons. :-D Oh yeah, the manager stopped by a couple of times to ensure everything was going well and the only thing I could've complained about was the taste of the soda. It tasted like it was made with well water which isn't bad, I hear well water is the preference of some but I'm used to a different taste.

There's plenty of seating. The staff is very friendly. The spinach artichoke dip was great. The tavern dip sandwich was also very good. The pizza could have been cooked longer but the others at our table said it was still pretty good. There was a mishap in the kitchen but our food still managed to come out quickly and well cooked.

Jen is an awesome bartender and made us feel so welcomed! I had the cranberry margarita as well as the spicy honey strawberry margarita, and both were delicious. Only $12 a piece too, which is a great deal. The happy hour menu is super reasonable, with $2 off draft beers and lots of food choices. Hubby had the personal pizza, which was a good size, and I had the spicy tuna roll, which had a surprisingly amount of tuna in it. The place was packed but the barstools were far enough apart that we didn't feel claustrophobic. TVs everywhere with sports and lots of beers on tap. I definitely can see why this is a popular spot in the area.

We previously tried takeout from Tommy's in Mt Laurel and really enjoyed the food. Maybe it was the excitement of tasting the food for the first time or maybe we just "ordered correctly," but this time around was not that. The new Cherry Hill location is nice! It's spacious, great ambiance, and has a nice upscale casual vibe (if that's what you're looking for). J and I went around 7:45ish and there was no wait, score! We started with cocktails...I enjoyed my classic Aperol Spritz but J was not too thrilled with his Peach Whiskey Smash...he said it was just too sweet. As for food, I started with the french onion soup....and too my surprise (not in a good way) was piled high with fried crispy onions. While this may have been a pleasant surprise for most, this onion variety is just not my jam. Unfortunately, once I moved my pile of onions to the side, I was still not impressed with the soup. I'm sure the saltiness of the cripsy onions brings out the flavor of the soup, and without them the broth is verrrry mild in flavor. The gooey cheese was the only redeeming quality, which I devoured. Hubs went with the spinach and artichoke dip to start since there weren't too many gluten free options available to try. Again, it was....OK. For mains, I went with the "original wings." I'm 100% one of those people who tries wings if they seem "famous" even in the slightest. They were burnt and just ok. They're served with the longest long hot you've ever seen and grilled onions. Only a few of the wings really took on the flavor pepper/onion flavor combo while the rest just tasted, well....burnt. J got a burger, no bun. I had high hopes for the burger since it was the first thing you smelled when you walk in the door. He said it was fine but nothing to rave over. Our main takeaway- this place is overpriced for what is being served, and we love their sushi (which is what we ordered the first time around), but why order sushi from an American restaurant when you have tons of great sushi spots in the area? We likely won't be returning. Oh well, we tried!

It was great for a quick casual meal. The place is HUGE. Service was sufficient! Bathroom clean and spacious. It's weird that it replaced Houlihans because it's very similar. Great playlist too All the food was very tasty too. Very good portions for price. Easily would go back for convenience and reliability.

Such a big and beautiful sports bar! The menu is so extensive - wow! Unfortunately, my way of life eating is no / very little carbs at dinnertime. No problem- I got a small plate Burrata. It was quite delicious and filled me enough. My friend got a classic Caesar and a cup of tomato basil soup. This was her third visit! She loved her soup; salad just fair. Our server was a bit over the top but nice. Tommy's reminded me of Chickie and Pete's. Although I enjoyed it, Im not dying to go back or anything.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday and it was delicious!!!! First time being inside and it puts you in mind of a big warehouse that turned into a restaurant. It's definitely prepared to accommodate a huge crowd. There's big TV's everywhere and they can be seen at every angle which is great for the sports lovers. The bathrooms are also very clean. We opted to go at around 2:30-3ish and it was the perfect time. No crowd, nice big booth and attentive service. The menu is pretty big with a lot of great options. Being a pescatarian you don't always have that. The only disappointment was there was no daily happy hour appetizer deals like many other sports bar type restaurants. There's a nice selection of apps on both sides of the menu. The items from apps, to drinks and meal choices are great. It's something for everyone. You have pizza, burgers, salad and even sushi to name a few. My husband and I opted to share the general's cauliflower bites and they were delicious only thing missing was more scallions on top. They were soft coated instead of overly breaded and the sauce was sweet, sticky and banging! LOL! For our entrees I got the grilled (blackened) salmon salad with blood orange dressing. It was deliciously refreshing. The salmon was seasoned well and cooked melt in your mouth perfect. My husband got the summer special grouper sandwich and a side of Caesar salad. That darn sandwich was delicious! The fish was buttery soft, battered and seasoned to perfection with a crispy fry. The bun was pillow soft and they paired together perfectly. It was so good I'll be going for it. The Caesar salad was also very good. To wash it down I tried the Pina No Colada (not sure if spelled right) refresher and that too was tasty. For dessert we both got the sticky toffee pudding. It comes with a scoop of ice cream, whip cream on both the top and side and some type of caramel drizzle. It was absolutely marvelous!!!!!! Our waitress Meena was also extremely nice and attentive. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely go back......like next week lol!!!!

The pizza was amazing!! Would recommend! The service was incredible. However, the restaurant was a little loud.

Excited this was added to the Cherry Hill area! Solid place for food and drinks. Great place to watch all the sports! Already been here twice since they've opened and sat at the bar each time! Our server John has been awesome every time and always ready to keep our drinks full! Cocktails are delicious... try the lychee martini YUM! Food has been great! Whether you want American, Asian or both... caters to a lot of tastes. Recommend trying the following appetizers: Asian Sticky Ribs - good flavor and they just fall off the bone! Kung Pao Chicken Dumplings - these are SPICY but so good! Firecracker 50/50 - half calamari and half shrimp Tried the wings but i wasn't much of a fan because they put onions and long hots on top and made the wings soggy. I'm more of a crispy wing person.. the flavors were good tho Tried the bulgogi tacos with fried rice which was good! Definitely can't wait to come back to try out more of their menu. Brand new but very disappointing. We were a group of two tables yet only 1 server who tried his best, yet we saw a group of servers at the front bullshitting amongst themselves. They should have come to support our one server. The beer choices sucked, very limited in their beers. Nothing exciting; basic staples. We ordered a couple of dishes to share, food was mostly over cooked and in two dishes, burnt. So not satisfying. So underwhelming. Huge disappointment. Will not be back. read more

Luckily I arrived before the rush started and was seated immediately. It looks nothing like the dated interior of the Houlihan's that used to be there. It's a very nice change. It also looks twice as big inside. I heard this place gets crowded. MJ was my server, she left a good impression. Super friendly, and knew the menu very well. I ordered a late lunch, Loaded Nachos w/pulled pork and Tavern Taquitos. The first thing I noticed about the nachos, they were layered with meat, cheeses, and other fillings. They weren't your typical "load everything on the top" kind of nachos. Practically every chip had meat, cheese and other fillings on them. All nachos should be made this way. They were very good. I'd definitely order them again. The Taquitos were pretty good. They kind of reminded me of crab ragoon but filled with chicken, and not as sweet. MJ said she loves the chili sauce that came with them. I totally get why she said that..... Very good, but I think it could use a little more spicy kick. The menu has an enormous selection. Burgers, sushi, BBQ, pizza, steak, sandwiches. I'll go back soon. read more

the atmosphere is awesome here the music tv sports playing. It is a tad loud though I gotta yell across the table. And our waiters have to get really close to hear us. The food is great. Kind of a mixture of bar food and Italian. This is our to go spot since it opened. The management is great they are in top of everything read more

Went to the restaurant in Mt. Laurel and it was amazing so I figured I go to this one for lunch today. It was good not great. The spinach and artichoke dip was amazing but the chicken sandwich wasn't that great. Good flavor of toppings, but not the chicken itself. The waitress was very friendly. I will go back to try other things on the menu since there are so many different options. read more

Great staff and great hospitality from them. Food came out fairly quickly and it was amazing. Came here with my father who is very social and the staff talked with him for a while. Bathrooms were also very clean and spacious. Would definitely come again! read more

Happy hour is the best deal in the house. The bartender was very friendly and attentive . We started with draft beers- happy hour prices. Loaded nachos- pulled pork -recommended by the friendly bartender. Should have taken a picture . Will get that again . Another happy hour app we tried was the garlic flatbread. Wow!!! It was a perfect happy hour. Food is delicious at Tommy's you get to sample some at happy hour with happy hour prices. Many TV 's , you can enjoy watching a game or two. There is nothing about this venue that remotely reminds me of the prior resturant that was there. All fresh new and love the open kitchen and the bar is huge. read more

New spot in Cherry Hill at the old race track. Me and the family came for lunch. It has an amazing ambiance and definitely will be a nice spot to watch football this season. They have a full sports bar feeling, and various beer on tap. Our waitress was great and was well abreast of what was good and not good on the menu. The prices were not that back and were about the same in price that you would see at any other Tavern and/or SportsBar. The food was good and the pizza we had was amazing. They even have sushi on the menu which was great because we love sushi. Looking forward to the next time..... read more

Pretty good sports bar. The menu is huge, didn't really expect sushi and pizza from the same place. But everything we got was good. The service was a little slow, but we weren't really in a rush. Lots of TVs. No big games while we were there, so not sure if they turn the volume on. read more

My daughter brought her friends and me here after the girls picked out their bridesmaid dresses nearby. Food and service were amazing. We had a section of the restaurant to ourselves, even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon. A great experience! read more

I ordered a pizza to pick up, spoke to the lady she would not take my order unless I gave her a credit card I told her I am paying cash . She refused to take my order . They wanted to put my card on file even though I was paying cash.I spoke to the manager Mike who was extremely rude. Would not recommend this company read more

Great prices. Great food. Fast service. Energetic atmosphere. Not too loud. Had a private booth where we could talk to each other without shouting. Went with my husband and our 6 year old and had 2 apps 3 dinners and wine. It was 3pm on a Friday & we didn't have to wait at all. Multiple big screens so we could watch the football. Definitely going back. read more

Very loud atmosphere. Waitress (Maddie) rushed us, asking for appetizer and entree orders at the same time, before delivering our initial order of drinks. Appetizers were not generous in portion size, considering the prices. I ordered a Caesar Salad as an entree, and it looked like a side salad. Chose this place as an alternative to PJ Whelihan's. I will stick with PJ's for now. read more

Met up with a girlfriend for a drink at the bar before having dinner (at a different spot). I had 2 drinks each one about $12. My girlfriend had one drink and without asking me they just put her drink on my tab?? My bill came to $51. For three drinks at $12 it should have been $36. Anyway I was annoyed and we were rushing to get out of there to meet our other friend for dinner so I just signed the bill and dipped out. I went back the next day and spoke to a manager to ask for a partial refund not even a full refund and they said they would. I ended up being charged $63 by them without ever receiving my refund. What is not amazing about an evening at Tommy's Tavern Cherry Hill. My wife and I have met with friends a number of times, and we can never say enough good about the food and service. However, last night was an extra treat. We had Madison (brunette) assigned to our table, and she was fantastic. Madison was personable, knowledgeable, attentive, and humorous. Wow, not a good use of our time and money. As others have commented, extremely, uncomfortably LOUD music. Ironically, Phils and golf on all the TVs. Why not just turn on the game play-by-play? Seated immediately, hostess was friendly. Server approached us relatively quickly, made menu suggestion, took our order. Cali burger and Tavern dip. Two sandwiches, nothing fancy. And then we waited 30 minutes. For 2 sandwiches. In the afternoon, before the rush time. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best. Now, given how excessively cold the AC was, the food got colder by the minute. No taste to the fries. Burger was okay. Rost beef sandwich is loded with garlic. Our server stopped by to check on our food and we let her know it was unfortunately not a good experience. She offered to send over a manager. Never came. Server checked on us again and pursued a manager again. When the manager finally arrived, we were finished our sandwiches (believe me, just out of being hungry). We gave him the feedback and he offered us dessert. We weren't looking to be compensated, just wanted to let him know this wasn't a good experience. We did appreciate his offer and decided to get dessert to go. It took approximately 10 minutes to pay the bill, and another 15-20 minutes to get the dessert. I only wish I were making this story up. Money is precious to us right now, and this little treat turned out to be anything but one. I hope for ownership and staff that they re able to make some process and training adjustments. read more

I never leave reviews, but my recent experience for the first Eagles game of the season was not a good one......... We went to the corner bar on the left-hand side, and the experience was less than special. We waited way too long for our nachos, and our waitress was blasé, blah blah to say the best. We felt like we didn't belong and they didn't really want us to stay to watch the Eagles game. We were consistently asked if we wanted to order food even though we were ordering drinks We felt overwhelmingly unwelcome. Thomas Tavern needs to go together if they want people to come for sporting events I'm pretty confident I won't be returning to Tommys Tavern to spend my hard earned dollars in a place that doesn't make me feel welcomed Go Eagles and I hope you can get it together for all the Phillies fans that would frequent your establishment read more

We went to check this place out a couple nights ago, as we've had our eyes on the place since they took over the old Houlihan's building. The place looks great, they did a really good job renovating it and opening the space up into a great looking sports bar and restaurant. Clean as a whistle, great ambiance, no complaints there at all. Service was on-freakin-point. Our server was enthusiastic, helpful, and attentive. I wish I would have gotten her name so I could give her a public shout out, but alas, I didn't. That being said, everyone that visited our table to bring drinks, food, etc., was awesome. It felt like pre-covid, going to a restaurant where the staff was actually happy to see us and treated us well. That seems to have disappeared from a lot of places, but they have it going on here. The food, unfortunately, was where things went downhill. We ordered small plates and appetizers to try a variety of things, including the shrimp tempura, onion rings, and nachos with pulled pork as the meat topping. Nothing was bad, per se, but nothing was worth the prices charged on the menu, which were fairly steep for bar food. The fried food was somewhat bland and oily, and the pulled pork on the nachos was pre-mixed with BBQ sauce (I mean, I know it's pulled pork, but given that it was a topping for nachos, maybe some warning there because it didn't taste very good in that context). The beer selection was okay but, as a beer guy, didn't blow me away like I expected from a place that features themselves as a tap room. Missing were the local craft selections and the hard-to-find gems that you'd look for on a beer menu, and it pretty much featured the same 20 beers you can get at any other restaurant with multiple taps. Whatever, there was enough to choose from, I just wasn't impressed. I'd go back once more to try some other stuff on the menu. I'm curious about the burgers and sandwiches, but I'm not in a hurry to go back. Shame, because the place has a lot of potential. read more

I've been to Tommy's Tavern in Cherry Hill multiple times, and it never disappoints. The food is always consistent and packed with flavor. The service is excellent, with a staff that's both attentive and friendly. The ambience here is chill and laid-back, making it a perfect spot to relax with friends or catch a game on one of the many screens around. The menu has plenty of options, and we've enjoyed everything we've tried so far. The pizzas, coal-fired wings, French dip sandwich, brisket sandwich, turkey cobbler, and fries are all excellent. Special shoutout to their spicy Bloody Mary--by far the best one I've had! Perfectly seasoned, spicy, and consistently delicious. I was sat, it took forever to order a drink. No one came back to see if I want anything to eat. So I decided to forget eating then I'll just keep drinking. But still no server around to come check up so I had to order from the bartender even though I was sat on a table. When I got the drink, still no table touch just dropped the drink off and they left. 3rd night to see if it's any better. I honestly just left since I was waiting to be seated and no one was coming to assist me. I was making eye contact to the server he was staring at me and I was pointing for me to go to a table but he honestly just turned around. So I left. 0 stars if I could.

My wife again chose The Chop House for her birthday dinner celebration and for great reason! We came on her birthday, a Tuesday evening, for drinks and appetizers in the bar area. The gentleman working valet was very respectful and professional and while I can take or leave valet in most cases, he definitely added to the upscale experience of the entire night. Upon seating ourselves at a high-top, both bartenders on shift greeted us with huge smiles and very warm hello's. They are familiar faces to my wife's family and were genuinely happy to see us. Unfortunately, we learned my wife's family's favorite server, Debbie, recently retired but great for her! The bartenders were fabulous themselves. Service, personability, mixology skills were all top-notch. They fit the sophisticated vibe of the restaurant perfectly. We started with drinks of course! A Stoli Elit Martini with a twist, a Dirty Martini, an Apple Butter Old Fashioned, and a Tito's and Club. The drinks came out beautifully. Smooth, chilled. I ordered the Apple Butter Old Fashioned as I was intrigued, but skeptical. While I thought it was good, I'd prefer a regular or Smoked Old Fashioned to the Apple Butter. My wife loved it though. We ordered lots of food to split and each appetizer we picked was as good if not better than the next. The Tuna Nachos fresh and had a tropical, savory flavor with pineapple mixed in. The Kona Tips were tender, full of flavor coming from the Kona crust and sautéed mushrooms/onions, and were served in a skillet full of sauce perfect for soaking up with bread. I actually liked the Kona Tips appetizer more than I liked the Kona Crust I got on my NY Strip I ordered last year (the Strip was great I'd just prefer no Kona crust on the entree). The Flatbread De Jour was a Kona Tip flatbread, which you may call us crazy for ordering two Kona Tip inspired appetizers, but the Kona Tips are just that good. The Oysters we had were small (just how I like them) and were up there with the best Oysters I've had. We finished up with Fried Calamari. They were lightly battered, fried nicely, tender, and served over a bed of different hot peppers (when I say hot, I mean it!). Everything was delicious and there wasn't one appetizer we chose that I wouldn't order again or recommend to others. We did order a few more drinks throughout the night -- another Elit Martini and a Hendrix Martini with the appetizers and then Bailey's on the rocks and Frangelico on the rocks as after dinner, dessert drinks. We ordered a Brownie Sundae for the table for my wife's birthday while she was excused from the table and the bartender brought it out with a lit candle. The bartender also brought out a complementary miniature Crème Brûlée for my wife as she acknowledged The Chop House's Crème Brûlée as one of her favorites earlier in the night when we were talking about the menu. I thought the entire night went as good as you could have hoped. Valet, bar service, food, drinks, desserts, atmosphere. Everything was amazing and most importantly my wife had a great birthday. This is two years in a row we celebrated her birthday at The Chop House and I wouldn't mind seeing this turn into her birthday tradition.

We put in our drink and appetizer order and then the amazing bread with peppers arrived (complimentary) and we were like two kids in a candy shop. I don't know what they do to those peppers but they're delicious ... and pair perfectly with what I call their pizza bread. Appetizer and drinks were superb and after putting in our entree orders they were placed in front of us in under 20 minutes - fresh, hot and delicious! Neither of us could finish the entrees so we asked for to go containers ... and we certainly gobbled the leftovers up the following day. Oh and there's complimentary valet parking (just tip the valets) which makes for a stress free entrance and exit from the busy parking lot. My wife's pasta wasn't very good either and felt thrown together. The fries were the standout, tasting like fresh-cut potatoes and cooked well.
