Tend to see the only reviews people leave are the bad ones. I've never had a problem with washing my car here! Every time I wash it with the works my car comes out immaculate! One thing I wish it dried it better. But, needless to say I appreciate I can cancel and start my membership whenever. I tend to use Tommy's more in the winter and in the summer hand wash! The value of the price is worth it with how shiny your car will be. And, if you have a membership you can go in as many times as you want in a month! read more

The company response states we should have received information regarding the membership at the time of our initial purchase. The problem is that we did NOT received a flyer outlining the details of any type of subscription or membership. We were explicitly told it was not a membership in-person, and we only received a paper receipt and information regarding their app. There was no information on these documents that referred to a recurring membership, subscription, auto-renewal, etc. After voicing our concerns, Tommy's express manager, Dwayne, said he would bring it up in their next staff meeting to avoid future issues, but denied our request for a refund. Avoid this company! Original Review: I would highly suggest avoiding this business; there are many other respectable car washes in the area that provide the same service with much better customer service. The customer service we experienced at Tommy's Express was absolutely abysmal. Initially, we enjoyed the services we received after paying for their 1-month trial. When originally paying for the service, we asked if this was a subscription and if a charge would be auto-renewed. In fact, we specifically stated we did not wish to proceed with the trial if it was a subscription-based plan. We were assured it was not and that there would only be a one-time charge. There was no mention of recurring charges in person on any of the information we received. After using services for one month, we discontinued use and were not charged the following month. The problem came 2 months later when we were randomly charged again and at a much higher rate without any prior notice. I'm glad I check my account or this charge would have gone completely unnoticed. We called management and spoke to a Dwayne. He told us in no uncertain terms that they would not be issuing the refund and that we should have received several emails notifying us of the auto-renewal beforehand. I'm not sure if we initially spoke to a new or misinformed employee, but the manager was completely dismissive of our concerns and denied any possibility that we may have been told incorrectly by anyone on his staff. Also, after checking the email address on file for accuracy, we searched our email history and found there were no such notifications sent informing us of the auto-renewal. He also dismissed this fact and proceeded to get extremely defensive when I mentioned how shady the whole interaction had become. They have lost our trust and any future chance of us using their services in the future. This business would receive zero stars if that was an option. read more

I have a lifted truck which leaves me with no clearance on most car washes. That being said Tommy's truck was one of the only ones that worked for me. I went there for month until out of the blue the manager decided to pull me off to the side to say I have too much dust in my truck bed/box. So I cooperated and swept it out for them because again I'm limited on options. Now I sweep it out just so I don't have to deal with him or his bad attitude towards customers. However today I swept it out at home, I had driven down a wet gravel road so I had gravel dust down the sides of my truck and he decide to reject me and say there's too much build up and it will dirty their machines too much. That has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard from a car wash company. I come there because I don't have free time often to use my own pressure washer as I'm a small business owner. I guess I'll be forced to find a new wash place where my truck will fit. I do not recommend going here unless you vehicle is already clean.. read more

I went there one time. The clerk wanted me to join a membership. I said no just want to wash my car. It was buy one and get another free. Just needed to go to the web site and enter the code he gave me for your free one. Tried to enter the code, didn't work. Waste of time, no free car wash was given. However, Tommy express car wash has taken money out of my account for two months now, for a total of $86.48. Talk with the owner Joel . Will not refund my money. Buying One car wash does not equate to Permission to take money out of my account. Sneaky and deceptive. read more

Lathe car wash did what it was suppose to do. Bad thing about it has brush that can scratch your car :(

I signed up during opening day. I normally use a touch-less car wash, because I have a bike rack on my car. I asked if the bike rack was a concern and was re-assured that it no problem because their service technicians would be alerted when I entered the car wash and could disengage the rollers that sweep the back of the car. This did happen the first 4 times that I used the car wash. However, when I used the car wash on 9.19.21 at 10:30 AM, the technician at the window opened the gate for me (aware of me coming in with a bike rack), but no one disengaged the rollers that sweep the back of the car. As my car went through, I felt the roller come down and get stuck between the bike rack and my car causing 2 large dents in the back of and nearly ripping off my license plate. I proceeded to show the workers what had happened and they relayed that the person on duty to manually disengage the rollers had failed to do so. They said that they were understaffed and at fault. Photos were taken and a "claim" filed. The manager followed up with me today claiming that they no liability because I had a bike rack and that they cannot guarantee that someone will manually disengage the rollers (despite the fact that I was re-assured that the car wash would be safe with my bike rack). This establishment does not stand behind their promises to their customers. read more
