I'm SO glad I found this place! It's so rare to find Chinese food that is gluten free but more than half their menu is. Their website menu doesn't list things as GF but they are clearly labeled on their menu when you go in person. My partner and I ordered the Chow Fun and Szechuan Tofu and they were both DELICIOUS! This place has a mom and pop feel with excellent service too. We will definitely be back!

Upon arrival I noticed there's easy parking, and driving distance it's located about 5 minutes from downtown Sausalito. There's outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating. We came on a Monday afternoon, right before dinner, and it was fairly slow. We were able to sit outside and service was prompt and fast. The serving sizes are good for two people. They say it's a large serving, but it's really good for just two people. To start we ordered the jumbo fried prawns. 6 came in the plate with a sweet and sour sauce, and a wasabi tasting sauce. The fried prawns were delicious! I liked them without any sauce. They were fried to perfection. For our entrees we got the kung pao chicken, beef satay (4 skewers served with Asian pickles and a peanut sauce) , and chicken chow mein. The kung Pao chicken was not spicy at all which was a bummer. The skewers were good in flavor but they probably weren't my favorite item. The chow mein was delicious! My favorite dish had to be the fried jumbo prawns. I definitely would probably order two orders of those next time with noodles. The establishment was clean, I loved the aquarium inside. For all of this food we paid about $78. It was a little pricey, but I'm glad we got to try this place as it always peaked our interest driving by it.

We were in the area, and wanted lunch before we made the drive home. We were lucky at this place was open, because we had a great experience. The place was not busy, but we were not there during peak anything hours. Greeted with a smile and offered our choice of seats. Which has the line right next to the aquarium because fish are cool. We ordered a lot for just the two of us so we would have leftovers to take home. The potstickers or fabulous. They were meaty and juicy and so full of flavor. The noodle was not too thick that overwhelmed the dumpling, and the dipping sauce was just fabulous. They did not make the trip home, my son finished them in the car. The chow fun was divne. It is always better when you can just taste how hot the walk was. I was that perfect dish just fulfilled my craving for good Chinese food. The Szechuan pork was a little bit of a letdown, it was not at all spicy. There is no Szechuan pepper in it at all, and it was just kind of a generic sweet. -ish sauce over the dish. I mentioned this to the server, and he knew exactly what I was talking about. It is somewhat catered to more the American taste and I should have spoken up and told them that I would like it to be Szechuan spicy; good to know for the future. Next time in Sausalito, I would definitely make a return trip here. And I will always remember if I order something spicy to tell them I want it to be spicy! The service was just stellar, so I would not have any qualms about asking for anything in particular

Raw meat came with the picked carrots from Honey Glazed Walnut Prawns (Sweet)

During a recent visit we ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp and found a piece of raw red meat (beef or pork) mixed in with the small side of pickles and carrots on the plate. I almost ate the raw meat before I noticed. I brought it to the staff's attention and asked for a fresh plate and fork since they've been contaminated. Another staff responded quickly and offered to have the kitchen remake the dish or remove the charge. We didn't want to eat it after that, so they removed the charge and cleared the half-eaten dish from our table. The shrimp in the Honey Walnut dish was large, but roughly half the plate was made up of pineapple chunks. We also ordered Mongolian Beef, Sizzling Beef, Asparagus Beef, and a chicken dish. The beef in all three beef dishes was unusually soft and didn't have bite we usually get from the stir-fried dishes. Thought about giving it only one star but the staff was understanding and responded quickly to the situation. The food was in the lower mid and wasn't worth the money spent.

    Fortune cookie fortune

Went here for a family dinner and had a great time. The juicy soup dumplings were delightful and I enjoyed my fish with black bean sauce. The fish was tender and not over cooked or dried out. Will request to eat here next time I'm in town.

    Moo shoo

Very disappointing take out. 3 of the 4 dishes were mediocre, and one was inedible (moo shoo chicken). The only thing about the dish that looked and tasted like moo shoo was the sauce which had the right flavor but bizarre texture. We will not return to this business and recommend you go elsewhere for Chinese food in Marin.

Ever since I first heard about Fish oh so long ago, I'd been wanting to try them, but just never had much of a reason to come here. Other than to, you know, eat here. However, I had so much faith, in fact, that I even recommended this place to my buddy before I even made my way here. Thankfully, they didn't let me down, as both he and his wife loved the food here! More importantly, now that I've been, so do we! Although it takes a little bit of work to find them (they're on Bridgeway, but away from the touristy part and set back in a marina), Fish is well worth the effort. Not only is the vibe cozy and relaxed, but they've got a ton of seating both inside and out (love sitting by the water!). And, of course, the menu is awesome, as it's filled with so many options, from chowders, raw oysters, and salads to seafood entrees, pastas, and, of course, fish & chips. Plus, they also have menu boards highlighting the day's selection of raw oysters, crab, fresh fish, special entrees, "fish bits", and desserts that are just as interesting and unique! -- WHITE CHOWDER - Traditional New England Clam Chowder with Surf Clams, Cream, Bacon, Potatoes, Onion, Celery, White Wine, and Dried Herbs This was terrific! Although it could've been slightly thicker/chunkier, I liked the consistency of this - smooth but with chunks of potatoes. I also really liked how tender and meaty the clam was, too! -- RAW OYSTERS - Shigoku Oysters (WA) I had never even heard of Shigoku oysters before these, but they were terrific! The oysters were about medium sized with deep shells, which made them super to eat and I liked how they had a bit of sweetness and a bright finish to them. -- WHOLE ROASTED DUNGENESS CRAB with Tomato Sugo Drawn From Roasted Crab Shells over Soft Polenta I don't often order whole crabs like this at restaurants, but this was undeniably tasty. Aside from how messy this was to eat, the crab was sweet, the legs were pretty meaty, and I really liked how the sugo helped reinforce the taste of crab with the polenta. -- PASTA CON VONGOLE - Clams Served over Fresh Housemade Organic Egg and Semolina Linguine with Olive Oil, Butter, White Wine, Garlic, and Red Chili Flake LOVED that they didn't skimp on the clams, which were all so good, as well as the sauce and how it had a slight kick to it. The pasta had a very bouncy bite, too, but I wish there had been more of it and that it was able to hold onto the sauce better. -- FISH & CHIPS - Crispy Beer-Battered Local Rock Cod Served with Housemade Tartar Sauce and Wedge Fries Maybe my hopes/expectations were too high, as this was more decent than amazing. Mainly, while the batter was crispy-ish on the outside, it was a bit mushy on the inside. Still, the cod itself was pretty good and I liked the fries - crisp and not too potato-y. -- GRILLED CALIFORNIA HAMACHI with Housemade Pasta, Shishito Pepper-Cilantro Pesto, and Parmesan I'm so glad we pivoted to this when we saw it on the board - it was so good! The piece of hamachi was sizable, moist, and flavorful while the pasta was just as bouncy and held onto the sauce. If only they didn't use cilantro in their pesto (blech). Despite how Fish's food didn't amaze like how I had hoped it would, I think that has a lot more to do with the high hopes (expectations?) that had built up from the anticipation of finally coming here than anything else. Really, the only thing that might have been an actual bummer was the Fish & Chips, but even then, it was still notably better than others I've had. Besides, it's not like there's a shortage of delicious to pivot to instead! Fish, you'll definitely be seeing me again!

If you're hungry, I'd add an appetizer or a salad. My daughter had a burger and it had a nice charred taste and came with insanely good fries. I've attended a few of their ticketed events and they were amazing, and I've also been lucky enough to attend some private parties there as well. The last time I was there, the owner was doing an interview series and shared parts of her story. Hearing about what she built from such a young age, despite people doubting her, was honestly inspiring. You can see how much heart and hard work goes into what she's created. Her venue was actually the first place I ever visited in Sausalito, and it's what made me fall in love with the town and keep coming back. Sausalito should treasure businesses like this--they bring life, creativity, and community to the area. It was busy and lively (but not overly busy), and we enjoyed sitting outside on the large patio. In general, everyone enjoyed their food. I ordered the poke plate, my boyfriend ordered the two piece fish and chips, and we shared a half dozen oysters. The oysters tasted great (I thought they were briney and complemented well with hot sauce) but were small and probably not worth $4 per. I loved the flavor of the poke and the plate was a generous serving size. My boyfriend liked the crispiness and freshness of the fish and chips, but said there wasn't anything particularly special or standout. Our friends ordered various versions of the tacos and liked them, but they looked difficult to eat (small taco tortillas with heaping toppings!). There isn't much to mention for service since this restaurant does a line order, but it was interesting that waiters consistently tried to drop off the wrong food to our table. Otherwise, our actual food came out relatively quickly despite the lunch rush. I wouldn't go out of my way for the menu here, but it's a great stop for people biking through town or heading up north from the city!

After reading some reviews here I knew it was a small place, so I was pleasantly surprised I could get a reservation during our trip to Sausalito. My husband and I had recently enjoyed some caviar for the first time but we are no experts, and I was a little worried that he might not get enough to eat. Turns out we both left perfectly satisfied. The place is tiny but so elegant. The bar is right in front of the kitchen that is sparkling clean and the chef prepares everything right there. There is a little high top table too and there was a couple there when we arrived, but afterward it was just us and we felt like royalty treated to our private dinner. We aren't caviar experts by any means but Yo did a great job explaining the different caviar flights including where it comes from - turns out the white sturgeon is farmed in the Sacramento Delta. We chose the Menage a Trois white sturgeon flight and it was so elegant. Three kinds of caviar plus all these homemade breads and crackers to enjoy it with. Every bite was amazing and I think we only left a couple of chives. Afterward we picked a couple of other dishes - the Chawanamushi and the Dungeness crab ravioli. Both were exquisite- in flavor and presentation. For dessert we had the sweet potato - Yo described it as a ganache - which I couldn't really picture but it was a very accurate description. It came with asian pear and was just the perfect finish to our meal. I had a couple glasses of French bubbly with my meal - normally I can't do more than one glass of champagne but it was crisp and yummy and paired well with everything we ate. When we were finished we got our check in a cute sturgeon pulp science fiction book. It was the final thoughtful detail to a wonderful evening. Chef Lance is a real artist and he really thinks through the ingredients and the flavors. Everything was so delicious and creative. I hope we get to come back again someday.

My sister was cold and really didn't want to have to sit outdoors so we almost opted for to go food, but ultimately chose to dine anyways, and I'm so glad we did. I'll start by saying EVERYTHING was incredible. From the food down to the service we received. All of the staff we interacted with during our time there were very kind and attentive. For starters, when we arrived, I told our waitress we had a dog and she directed us to a table on their "indoor patio ", so we we're basically sat indoors, which was really nice. We weren't cold at all, and had we been, it looked like they had overhead heaters! We ordered their bread service, the warm trout dip, truffle fries, steak & frites, the burger, mussels/clams, the chocolate tart and creme brûlée. It was all delicious. While eating our appetizers, our poor pup got sick and threw up under the table :( we tried to discreetly clean it and felt really embarrassed. Entrées came out a few minutes later, and while eating our entrées, it happened a second time. At that point, we were ready to ask for the food to go, because we were feeling so thoroughly embarrassed. As I started cleaning the vomit a second time, our kind waitress came over and told me she would take care of it. I apologized repeatedly, and we felt sooo bad. She was so kind, and gracious towards us, telling us it was okay. I never got her name, but I wanted to let her know just how much we really appreciated her assistance and for not making us feel worse about what had happened. The way she handled the situation, was the epitome of dog friendly service. I'm not sure why our pup was so sick at the restaurant. My guess is he may have swallowed some water while playing at the beach.
