I have been a regular customer of Primos for years. I previously used a different location, but later switched to this Royersford location. Since the switch I became a loyal regular customer of this location. They normally do a fine job and the food is great. But during the last week of this past January, approximately the 26th, I placed an order and it was not satisfactory. I called the store to voice my complaint to the manager. That manager told me he would issue a full refund to my card. Ok fine, good business decision. I didn't receive the refund by February 10 so I called the store about it. Now I am dealing with a different manager, not the one who offered me the refund. I tell this second manager that I have yet to receive my refund. He sends me a screenshot of my order, which he is saying is suppose to mean I was refunded. But a screenshot doesn't mean a damn thing if the money NEVER reaches my bank account. I continued to voice my concern to this second manager that I am dealing with and do you know what he told me? He said that no matter how many times I called the store, they were NOT going to do ANYTHING further to help me with this. He refused to even look into the matter for me, a loyal regular customer. This order was placed approximately January 26, and I called that same day with my complaint. So I said ok, maybe I am jumping the gun. I will quietly give it more time. Today is ST PATTY'S day 3/17 and I STILL never received the promised refund into my bank account. My order was OVER $50. Apparently they do not appreciate loyal customers. Primos as a chain has always made good food, however, this location is to be avoided at all costs. Made a simple order yesterday -- a cheesesteak and 2 orders of rice pudding. The stead didn't have all the toppings and was incredibly tiny. In the past at other locations had made the same order and the sandwich was a serious gutbuster. But here, just pathetic. The rice pudding had a ridiculous amount of cinnamon on top of it - which apparently was to hide the fact that it was rancid. When I reached out to the store, they offered me 15% off my next order. Clueless. That makes it right? Like there is going to be a next order now. Like I said, Primos is a fine chain, but the Royersford location is a disgrace to the label. Primos originates from Philly so it's always worth trying but the service at this location is very inconsistent. Sometimes it takes a while for someone to even come to the register when they never appear busy but the big problem is that once the order is taken it always takes 10-15 min to even get the sandwich started. It's especially annoying when you can see people in the back basically doing nothing but BSing. Last time there after waiting 10 min I asked how much longer and the person basically ignored me, turned their back and walked away. Time is valuable and this place doesn't seem to understand that. Hoagies are always great. The bread is the "good bread" and not your regular hoagie roll. But they sell the best tasting potato salad I have ever had. Must try it with your sandwich. read more

I uses to order from here regularly and do whenever I visit. I went at 6:15 on a Saturday night. First the only person who appeared to be working had headphones on ignoring me while I waited several minutes trying to get his attention. Finally someone else came and when I went to place an order told me they weren't taking orders. I left and shortly after headphone guys came out of the storing trying to confront me about who knows what. Apparently the losers they hire have no interest in actually serving customers. I do not understand how Primo Hoagies offer all kinds of hoagies on the delivery apps like GrubHub and DoorDash yet the only way I can order a cheese hoagie is on their website and I have to go pick it. Not a fan of chain restaurants but hard to find a good sub - not hoagie. People in PA are odd - miss the local mom and pop delis with great sandwiches NY/Northern NJ does it better. So - subs are decent here, biggest complaint, new owners or old. LISTEN and slow down when you take peoples orders! Mistakes can be avoided. New rule, how about restaurants pay for your gasoline when you have to drive back to pick up an order that was not done properly? read more

Absolutely phenomenal. By far the best hoagie's I ever had. I stop in a few times a week and get a Ham and Cheese Diablo. My wife, my parents and everyone i've recommended all say samething that there hoagies are some of best they ever had. Stay away.. used to really appreciate Primo Hoagies but this location has ruined it for me. My wife ordered 2 hoagies and 2 sides: $40.00. When we got home the Roast Beef Diablo had some roast beef and couple slices of cheese.. that's it. I ordered it with the usual: lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo etc. (as their menu on the web shows) . When I called to ask for my money back Primo did not want to deal with me and never responded. I threw their horrible hoagie in the trash and went to Wawa to get another hoagie. (not that Wawa is anything great but at least it had more than 2 items on it.) Do not waste your money. For the same price ($11.99 per tiny hoagie ) you can get a real meal. Worst Primo's in Chester County, take a ride and choose another location. The past 3 visits the sandwiches are getting worse and worse. My last turkey hoagie was not good at all, the turkey had a bad smell and I threw it out. Their lack of meat and cheese is crazy compared to other Primo locations. And just don't get me started about the woman that works there with the dark short hair, beyond rude. She should remember customers keep you in business. Probably my favorite hoagies in the area. Meats and bread are always fresh. I especially love the buffalo cutlet sandwich which has some surprising heat. We typically get take out and have gotten many party trays to serve family & friends. They have a huge hoagie menu so I'm sure you'll find something you like here. read more

Very disappointed experience yesterday. Usually really great sandwiches. Ordered a Turkey Diablo with provolone, LTO. As a wrap. If I wanted a resentment-filled bread sandwich with added passive-aggressive mayo, I could have simply asked my boyfriend to make a wrap for me. We are not overpaying for two sandwiches again from this place. By the way, once I scrapped off all the gooey mayo mess off of my sandwich, removed most of the bread on the top to flip the sandwich upside down to eat it without the bottom bread, it was great. I could do without the sandwich gymnastics. I worked in the service industry too in the past, and I didn't care how you wanted your sandwich, because you were paying for it. The cold hoagies are pretty good. The others...lackluster. I ordered two Bada Bing's the other day; one regular and one grilled. The regular breaded cutlet was thin as a slice of cheese and greasy. The grilled one looked better, but was dry and tasteless. Totally disappointed. Also, the kid behind the counter always seems to have an attitude. I have eaten at many different Primo locations and I have to say the Royersford location is the worst as far as the quality of their food and customer service. All that my husband wanted for Father's Day was a Primo's hoagie. We are having company over for the holiday and I picked up hoagies for everyone. When I got home I opened everything up to serve the food and the whole ham and cheese hoagie had about half the amount of meat and cheese that we are normally used to getting in the sandwich. This isn't the first time this has happened at this location. I am only posting a review for the first time because I figured before that they may have been having a bad day so I let it go. When I called up Primos to tell them what happened and asked for a manager a woman answered the phone and sighed in annoyance upon my request. The manager gets on the phone and tells me that they weigh the hoagie including the bread and everything else in it and this is how they come up with how much meat and cheese to put in the hoagie... what?!? What does the weight of the bread have to do with how much meat they put in? Sometimes, I was told, the bread is heavier than usual and then you get less meat. I just can't comprehend this system of how their hoagie is made. Now I am left with our guests arriving in five minutes and was told I could drive back over to get another one to replace the first one I bought. That's a half an hour of my time and my guests just waiting for me to bring their food. I'm not looking for a discount but just for them to have made a quality product in the first place. They told me that they were delivering a new one to me to fix the mistake and a full hour goes by and no one shows up. I call again to figure out where my hoagie is and I'm told "oh didn't the manager call you". They had the wrong phone number. The owner then calls me after 1.5 hours and starts yelling at me that I'm wrong and their hoagies are made the way they should be and there's nothing that they can do to fix it. She's said if I don't like it call their corporate office to complain. I will not be eating here anymore. What a shame that they do bad business like this. read more

Always a great place to buy a Sharp Italian Hoagie. They have always treated me nicely. Today I ordered online and entered my credit card, then Primo website said "Processing. This may take a few minutes." Got to the Royersford store and they said there was no order received. I open the Primo app, and it's still spinning, and says it may take a few minutes, but my charge card showed the billing! The store took my order, and as soon as I said two Primo size sharp Italian hoagies; they started making them. I continued with no tomatoes extra oregano and with hot peppers, one with oil and vinegar and the other dry with oil and vinegar on the side. The order was done accurately and in a flash. Gloria said I should stop back tomorrow if the charge from corporate has not backed out, and she would help me. Just another example of the care Primo in Royersford has shown me. I love this place! Every time we go it's fast and flavorful. I always order a different sandwich each time I go and I've never been disappointed. The bread has a good tooth to it and they use fresh ingredients. I love the fact you can get fresh mozzarella on your sandwich. I also like they offer sweet or spicy peppers. They also offer prosciutto. I love the spicy/diablo sandwiches they offer. The diablo beef is probably my favorite. This is my go to sub place. They people working behind the counter are always super friendly and professional. I like to call my orders ahead and just run in to pick them up. Prices are a tad more than subway but the quality is miles apart. Once you try this place you'll never go back to subway again. Five stars all the way. read more

Horrible customer service and lack of knowledge of the menu. I asked for a crusher immediately was asked if I want lettuce onion and tomato and I responded I want it the original way. She added the extra ingredients and when I called the manager to let her know there was an issue I was met with accusations and attitude rather than understanding that my sandwich was soggy and the bread was ruined. I have been a loyal customer since this location opened. I have always been treated with kindness and have been appreciated as a customer until tonight. I placed an order on the phone for my husband to pick up. He brought it home and it was the wrong order. I called Primos to tell them the mistake and it was blamed on my husband because the person on the phone insisted she verified the order with him. I asked how could she verify when he didn't even know what I ordered. I asked him if she *did* try to verify and he said no. I said for the inconvenience I would not expect to be charged the difference (which could have only been a few dollars). I was told I absolutely would be charged the difference. I asked for the manager, she said she was the owner and told me "have a nice day hun" CLICK and hung up on me. This is no way to run a business. I will be calling corporate tomorrow. read more

When the owner is there it's fine but more often then not he's not there and the teenage kids he leaves in charge are just clueless. We went here for dinner since we had a coupon. The lady at the counter refused to accept the coupon claiming it was only good on party trays. All the coupon said was 15% off your next order. There was not stipulation about party trays. She claimed that the picture of the tray in the coupon was what made it only count for party trays. We will not be going back to this location. read more

I have been a long time primos lover. Also have been in my fair share of stores throughout the tri state area. The primos in Royersford is by far the dirtiest store I have visited. I stopped in for lunch two weeks ago and was informed they were out of certain lunch meats. The staff looked frazzled and I overheard a discussion between the employees about the walk in being broken and the temperature being at 64 degrees. After I overheard the conversation between the staff I decided against getting any food from this store. I was completely disgusted and noticed they were still serving the lunch meats they were arguing about being safe for consumption. The cooler upfront that held the potato salads and other side dishes was filthy as well. Several flies dead in the case. I have tried to contact corporate but yet to hear back. Do not go to this store unless you want a case of food poisoning. I'm pretty sure lunch meat being stored at 64 degrees is a serious health code violation and the owner should be ashamed for serving any food kept at that temperature! read more

We've been skimped quite a few times on ingredients. You pay a premium price you better have a fat consistant product. This is not always the case. After ordering a tray of hoagies 5 days in advance of the Super Bowl, we were disappointed @ how spicy they were. My husband called the store & after getting no where with an employee, he spoke with the owner who said she remembered him ordering the spicy type of hoagies - 5 days prior!!! He can't stand spicy food & would never have ordered a whole tray of spicy hoagies. The owner refused to do anything so we contacted our credit card company. They reversed the charges & said they may investigate. I then contacted the owner to inform her of the steps we had taken due to her inability to rectify the situation. She responded - don't ever "F"ing come back again. That won't be a problem - we didn't plan to, but I caution anyone from patronizing the Royersford Primo Hoagies.
