Tom's Watch Bar has become one of my favourite spots. McGregor Square in general has become a favourite of mine, but Tom's Watch Bar specifically has been my most visited place in McGregor Square. I've tried so many things on the menu from the tacos to the potstickers to the wings and burgers. And I can faithfully say that every single thing I've ever eaten here has been good. They also make a mean tequila mule. The staff is always super pleasant and very hospitable. Shoutout to our server, Jessica. I just know that whenever I come here it'll always be consistent and that's what I genuinely appreciate about this place. I haven't tried the golf simulator as of yet, but that is on my list of things to do. There are TVs everywhere, so if there is a good matchup for any sporting event, be prepared for it to be a bit busy. The downstairs section is a little bit busier than the upstairs so if you're not looking to be succumbed to the chaos of sports fans everywhere, then ask for a table upstairs. read more

This place is always packed during all MMA, Basketball, Football, Base all, etc. The last time was all the NCAA Women's Basketball tournament of 2024. The drinks are always flowing. The food is a great spread and variety. My favorite hands down is their French Dip sandwich, just straight . There is plenty of seating downstairs, upstairs and outside patio in McGregor Square. A few friends and I were in Denver for the weekend and the Rockies were playing so we decided to go here to watch the game. We were seated upstairs, where all the nearby television stations were turned to various soccer and college football games (it was a Friday night). We asked the host who seated us if it would be possible to switch the closest TV to the baseball game and they said yes. However, it wasn't changed by the time our waitress came, so we politely asked again. Same positive response, but still no change in channel. Finally, I went up the bar to ask them and that's when it was finally changed. However the sound system continued to play the audio from one of the football games, quite loudly. Important notes to make: we were the only party seated in the area and the Rockies game was the only game on any TV that was actually being played in or near Denver. Overall, it was just a loud and strange environment with poor service, especially considering this is a watch bar. As for the food, we ordered nachos with birria beef to share and they were good. Nothing special, but decent. We ordered them with jalapeños on the side because one member of our party didn't want them, but they came with them anyway and we just had to pick them off. This wasn't a big problem for us, but would make me think twice before bringing someone with allergies or real dietary restrictions here. Our entrees were decent, but nothing to write home about. My friend thought the wings were very spicy, but otherwise good. The burger was fine. The garlic parmesan fries were extremely salty and quite garlicky but without a depth of flavor (as if they were tossed in garlic salt from the grocery store). And the prime rib dip sandwich was ok, but had large chunks of fat in it and the horseradish was barely noticeable. read more

Terrible Staff. We sat down to eat and watch the World Cup game. They asked us to move to an area where there werent reserved. Which was respectable we made an honest mistake. We moved to the area that they wanted us to. Which we found a spot and and sat down. in the area that they requested us to be. They decided that we shouldn't sit there either and came up to us saying that we were being disturbing and that loud. We had just recieved food and and drinks. They came up to us and went straight to telling us that they will call the police if we don't leave. No explanation. No nothing. We had ordered a full dinner and beers. They ushered us out leaving our full new drinks behind and forced us to pack our food. They later tried to claim that one of our members threatened to hit a staff. The issue is that everyone is primarily Spanish speaking. They had no way of communicating to us. They came up with elaborate excuses for us to leave. Keep in mind we were just there for a World Cup game and we weren't being disrespectfu. Cheering when everyone was cheering. Nothing obnoxious. NEVER COMING BACK OR RECOMMENDING THIS PLACE!! We came to watch the AVS game (game 4 vs Minnesota) and participate in the activities we' heard about. We got here plenty early. Asked for a table outside only to be first put outside under a TV that was neck bending high AND not even powered on or working. Changed our minds and chose inside. Was told our only option was upstairs. Even though there was MANY empty tables. When we asked why we couldn't have one of those we were told that our party was too small (only two of us) and they were saving those for parties of four. We asked if we have to make a reservation or if other people made reservations or otherwise had dibs on those empty tables (at LEAST a half dozen or more tables were open) We were told, no they were open just in case. Just in case!?! So HOPING that at least six or seven parties of four or more were going to eventually arrive is the reason we had to sit upstairs away from the activities and atmosphere that we came to Tom's for? Yeah I am quite sure there are at least the same amount of other bars with better customer service as there are empty tables that we weren't allowed to sit at downtown. We had an hour before the baseball game started and happened across Tom's Watch Bar. Wow! What a great place to drink a beer, watch a game on a HUGE screen, and people watch. We got a nice IPA beer from Tom's and took it out to the plaza area. Tom's was packed. It's such a fun sports bar. The plaza area was something really unique. A very weak 3 stars. Went there before a baseball game. Great location, right across the street from Coors Field. When we walked in the hostess was having a long conversation with a guest, just for the fun of it while we waited to check in and be seated. No apology for ignoring us. Bad form. The rest of the staff was great. The service was excellent. Lots of teamwork in action. I was super hungry for a good burger, hadn't had one in a while. I ordered the Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger. $19. What a huge disappointment. The bun was cold and not soft. It was supposed to be toasted. Way to ruin a burger right from the start. The meat was no better than you'd get at a fast food place, the bacon wasn't cooked well, and the avocado was just scooped on. Wait, it gets worse, it was dry and tasteless. A bad burger all around. Just plain bad. Boo on the burger!! My buddy had a California Chicken Club. They didn't toast the bun on that one either. Maybe the toaster was broken. I should have run to Wal-Mart and picked one up for them. I had "garlic" fries as my side. They should be called garlic-free fries because there wasn't even a trace of garlic on them. They were OK fries though. Just not garlic fries. I will certainly not return, but it's a cool place, maybe that's why they don't heat the buns because everything is cool there! Great place for watching sports. In town for the first and second round of March Madness and decided to hit this place. If ya want sports, TVs galore, no problem there. The bartenders are very friendly. Food was really good. I had the Nashville chicken tenders on the cornmeal pancake. Chicken was nice and tender, sauce was spicy and what I was hoping for. We came by to watch a Nuggets game. It was so disturbingly loud that we almost left. We had a group of 4 and everybody had a headache from the noise and had lost their voice from needing to talk so loudly within about 15 minutes. Felt like we were at a club. The environment is fun but the prices are high. We got two Coors Lights, which were apparently each $1 off. When we got the bill, it was over $20. It's a fun spot, but not $10+ dollars for "cheap" beer fun! read more

A mini chain based here in Denver, Tom's is a personal favorite for American bar food done consistently well. The Denver airport location (RIP) and Tom's on the Vegas strip are faves. This is the nicest location I've seen with high ceilings and huge picture windows looking out onto the pedestrian-intensive streets between Coors Field and Union Station. Though fairly quiet on a sunny Saturday during lunch, I can imagine that this place is packed on game days.  I ordered the chicken tenders with the $3 upgrade to loaded tots. The four tenders were enormous and breaded in a crisp, thick crust -- these may have been fried a bit past just right but were still surprisingly tender and moist. I picked up a faint taste of pickles, making me wonder if they're pickle juice brined perhaps. Who knows? The loaded tots were yummy. Crisp and fried to order, served with good cheese sauce and topped with a tiny bit of crisp bacon and scallions. They layered the tots thoughtfully to maximize the saucy cheesy goodness while still protecting the crunch of the tots. I like Tom's because even though it's really a dressed up sports bar, the food is put together with care. I have liked everything I've eaten here -- and that's s lot of things lol. This was recommended as one of the best locations to watch a game in Denver. The NBA Playoffs were on and we made it inside to see a Nuggets game. I loved the location of this bar. It is right near all the stadiums and easy access from Union Station. You can even walk right outside McGregor Square and catch a game on the big screen. We were able to walk in and sit at the bar area on the second floor. This place is massive with three floors and a great view. They had TVs everywhere showing all the games. The server was able to come over and give us the top food and drink choices. Luckily I saw online you can register for their email list and they give you a $1 drink special. I ordered an old fashioned and their chicken sandwich. The drink was very strong and hit me quickly. They definitely don't hold back on the liquor here. The sandwich was tasty and the french fries were amazing. This place is a great location to watch a game and hang out before going out. Prices here are expensive for the food options. Came here to watch the UFC fight and it was definitely the place to be. We share lots of appetizers and drinks while watching the fights. The fried pickles were by far the best I've ever had. The calamari was well cooked and had a nice crisp batter. The deep dish nachos were good but did come out a little cold and needed more toppings but our waiter brought us more cheese and jalapeños to fix them up. The beer selection is great lots of local Colorado beer options on tap. The place was clean and our waiter was fantastic. We appreciated that we were able to sit there and watch all 5 fights and didn't feel rushed or like we over stayed our welcome. The food was incredibly expensive and the additional fees they added on were insane. Then they had two extra charges to our bill and didn't give us a ticket to look at before paying. Visiting Denver and stopped in on a Friday night... It was so fun with multiple levels and activities. Virtual golf, table top shuffle board, pool, lots of big tv screens or just chill in a gondola and enjoy quiet conversation. We visited Tom's for a WWE special event so we knew it would be packed and it was. We were seated fast, smack dab in the middle of the action and had a perfect view of the screens. We were served fast and checked on by our server fairly despite the packed house. We ordered an assortment of different shareable appetizers, including a large order of bbq wings. The wings were by far the tastiest and would order them again, the other options were lacking flavor. They kept the crowd entertained with giveaways & it was a lively environment.
