Just ok and way over priced, service was not great had to ask someone to take our order. My chair had a broken leg and I almost fell. The food was ok the carne asada was terrible. I would not recommend eating here. The Crestline Cafe is 100% better food and service. read more

We came to Crestline to celebrate my Birthday. The restaurant was recommended. It was a mistake! When entering the restaurant the woman at the reception didn't even make eye contact. She asked how many, we said 2, she said sit anywhere. Seating was a little cramped and the noise level was not "lively" but loud and hard to have a conversation. We sat and WAITED, finally a man came to table and "demanded" what we would like to drink, when we asked about mixed drinks, he showed us the drink menu. We WAITED. A waitress came, and just asked us "what will you have", no personality or approach. We WAITED!! Food came with no offer for additional items/service. Food was average. My burrito plate ($15) was suppose to come with beans and rice...all I got was sour cream and diced tomato?? Wife has taco plate ($17) and 1 magarita (no price given), I had 3 beers ($5.10 ea.). Finally someone came and they asked if I wanted another beer. No one ever came by to see how we were doing. We WAITED. Finally a different person came and asked if we were done, I asked for one more beer (it was my birthday, right?) and gave me a $84 bill!!! I gave them my CC and they returned right away....I thought something was wrong with my Card....nope!! They forgot to add my 3rd beer??!! ... not my mistake, should not be my problem....and how did it all add up to $89?!?! I will NOT be recommending or return to this "restaurant". read more

It's hard to drive by Lake Gregory without noticing Toni's - the balcony perching on the knoll seems always filled with happy customers! To me, it's the kind of jovial and beautiful dining moments Renoir's Luncheon on the Boating Party must have been painted to capture. So after driving by and driving by... I finally came to check it out. And the balcony is indeed as lovely as I imagined! But let's come back to reality-- and start with a giant super cool margarita! Mmmm... so real but so good, try it on a hot day and you'll remember the sensation. And the food? The menu is huge - close to 100 items ! And here more is more... any combination of the popular Mexican favorites from tacos, enchiladas, fajitas to burritos... and way beyond. What's more amazing is how fast the foods are served after you order! Maybe it's the wonderful lake view that distracted me and made time fly by while we waited; or maybe it's the crunchy chips and zesty salsa... but either way I was impressed. Portion size is great! We've come a few times and every time we ordered an entree or combo we had enough to take home. Some side orders (see photo of two tacos) are enough to serve as a meal. Margaritas was great. Food hearty people professional. Great view of lake . Been there many a day. Come on and try it.

They've RUINED the one good thing about the place, the PATIO. You can no longer see the lake only unless you sit at stools at the end. You can't sit as a party at a table and enjoy the view. No longer can a few tables get a full view or the rest of the patio be a part of the lake view or get the breeze. I notice that the latest good reviews seem to come from the few that sat at the stools with the only lake view. The rest of the patio is claustrophobic. And, the lighting at night on the patio is atrociously bright and ugly. The food is not that great with the exceptions of a few items but we still loved sitting on the patio and the drinks were good enough that it was enjoyable. They turned me off from their Latinos for Trump bully truck and now they've lost me completely at the destruction of the patio. It's just a gross place now. I don't want to have a night out with hubby or take visitors there anymore. The prices are atrocious now too and many locals complain they don't get itemized receipts. Good food and a good place to eat out are limited in Crestline and now limited even more. read more

The lemonade was good that s lemonade. Food chicken taquitos with the side of rice and beans. Chicken was not seasoned at all. Rice and beans were very bland. No spices whatsoever I had to use salt and pepper. The salsa they gave us with the chips was bland. There was absolutely nothing delicious. I'm sorry I have to say that, but my beans were very watered down. And I am so sure they could be great. I just did not get that today. read more

I came here for lunch on a Saturday and it was fairly packed. I got the second to last spot in their front parking, across from the lake. There's plenty of seating and you can choose to sit indoor or outdoor. My party of 2 decided the indoor seating and we got seated right away. It was nice because you get a good view of the lake. They also come out with salsa fairly quickly too. The menu had a lot of photos and I wasn't sure what to choose. But I feel like the pictures of the food didn't do it justice. My friend has a to go to plate he usually gets and I wanted to see the item he mentioned but the photo didn't look appetizing to me. So I scan what might look good, and I see a veggie burrito. I saw mushrooms and I am a fan of mushrooms. It was a pretty big burrito. But the only thing I didn't like about it was the proportions of the onions. I'm not a big fan of lots of onions. I felt like it was mainly onion so I ended up picking out majority of the onions, which just left a pile of onions on the plate. I mean at least it was grilled and not raw but I was looking forward to tasting more mushrooms. There were very little mushrooms compared to chunks of onions. I had a bit of the huevos rancheros and it was so much better imo. It made me regret getting the veggie burrito. There's so much flavor and the mix of each corner brings out different flavors and complements each other really well. It even has hidden over easy eggs in it. Jealous of my friend's dish and full of regret for not choosing what he got, I wish the photos were better so I would have gotten that. Next time if I'm in the area, definitely ordering my own huevos rancheros. read more

I've been here twice so far and I had a great experience both times! The staff is helpful, always smiling and provides great service. They make sure to take care of you. I also love that it overlooks Lake Gregory; the location alone is a bonus! I highly recommend taking a stroll around Lake Gregory. It's so beautiful and so are the surrounding community and homes. When it comes to Mexican food, I can be very picky at times. Their menu has many options! They have a little bit of everything, including unique alcoholic drinks like a spiked hot chocolate. Lol. Another plus for me is that their prices are reasonable. They also keep a good playlist of music playing for folks and I found their restrooms both clean and presentable. The parking lot is tiny, but I've never had an issue with it. I guess I've just been lucky lol. I can imagine that it gets packed sometimes, though. Two thumbs all the way up!!
