You put your order in and take a number and they bring it to your table to wait if you do take out. I equally enjoy the pizzas and cheesesteaks. There's usually not a lot of interaction with staff as they are busy getting orders out. Off the bat what the pizza was delivered it looked absolutely delicious, hence why there were missing pieces in the picture. Tried Tono a fee years ago when they opened the Maplewood location, so naturally, we were excited to learn that they opened a new location in Maple Grove and had to try it! The creaminess from the cheese, spiciness from the pepperoni, and the sweetness of the hot honey were an incredible combination. Next to the soda fountain, there is a space with a fridge where you can pick any sauces you want. I snagged extra hot honey for the pizza and the special sauce to enhance the crust. We also ordered the Burrata Pesto Salad. The ingredients they use are incredibly fresh. The tang from the arugula paired beautifully with the sweetness of the balsamic and texture of the Burrata with pesto. We finished the salad and each had half of a pizza leftover. We stopped here and ordered 2 pizzas, the Pineapple Express, cream cheese base, pineapple, ham, sweet chili sauce, and the Don Carlo, pepperoni, Tono hot honey, burrata, basil. A beautiful brick oven is the visual highlight of the new spot in Maple Grove. These aren't 90-second, quick-fired Neapolitan pizzas. The lower temperature (around 600-625°F) and slightly longer cooking time create a crispy crust that still has some chew to it. It's not really New York pizza, more of a Sicilian-style crust. Terrific toppings too! I waited to write a review until I could eat a cold slice and that was great too! Would definitely eat more of their pizza. I'm not a fan of cheesesteaks but have stopped in for Toni Tuesdays twice now and LOVE their pizza's! It's a great BOGO deal where you buy one 12" pizza + drink and get one free! I would definitely recommend trying it.
