Unfortunately a fire occurred in the kitchen area in the main unit (#1) of a four-plex I own, however luckily no one was hurt. I searched through Buildzoom to find a contractor to repair the Unit. Buildzoom sent 4 contractors to visit the site and provide estimates. After the evaluation process, I selected Tony Tran Construction. He was the only contractor to send a detailed estimate which accurately included every item that needed to be replaced/repaired. He clearly put in his time and was serious about the bid. I appreciated Tony's humble demeanor and great knowledge about construction. The City building department required a shared firewall with an adjacent apartment (#2) to be updated Fire Rate Drywall Code. Tony drew the plan himself and got it approved of the City of Cupertino. They had to remove the existing 1/2" drywall between Unit # 1 and # 2 and replace them with 5/8" fire rated drywall. In that process, Tony had to remove Kitchen Cabinets and Countertop and demolish the bathtub/shower enclosure. When I just reminded Tony that we wanted to replace the Bathtub with Kohler Cast Iron tub one day and the very next morning Tony delivered the tub to the job site. The demolition was done very fast. I asked Tony to remove the Kitchen Cabinets and save them to re-use later. The Old tile countertop was demolished. Tony installed 5/8" plywood as the underlayment for the Quart Countertop and he didn't charge any extra. The new Quartz Countertop with full backsplash was installed with precision, I hardly can notice the joint lines. I asked him to install a sink setter, and it was done to my satisfaction. I was impressed with the workmanship on the wall tiles that he made in the bathroom. The tiles and grout lines were perfectly straight. Tony asked his workers to apply compound on the bathroom walls to make them smooth before painting. The entire apartment was done beautifully, and I thank Tony for his commitment, thoroughness and attention to the details. Furthermore, the best part was all inspections passed the very first time. Tony installed 6 new LED recessed lights and replaced all ceiling lights in the kitchen area with new LED recessed lights with dimmers. Now, our Family room and kitchen are very bright when we turn on the lights. Our island was too close to the refrigerator. We asked Tony to move it out 4". He complied and replaced old tiles around the island without charging us any money. The downstairs bathrooms were remodeled with precision workmanship. Tony recommended to install 2 new Electrical outlets: 1 for the lighted mirror and 1 for the bidet if needed in future. He also recommended buying Lighted Mirror at Amazon, and we loved the new mirror. The tile work on the floor and the shower walls is methodically placed with even symmetrical spaces. My wife and I were extremely happy with the beautiful results. Our entertainment cabinets was old Oak frame. We asked Tony if it can be painted so it matches our new cabinet color and he made it happen! Now we have a beautiful kitchen and family room. We hired Tony to remodel our home. The kitchen was very old and needed a makeover. Everything was in the original condition. Everything: From popcorn ceiling removal to the remodel of 2 bathrooms and convert a half bath to a full bath and replaced old kitchen to a modern style, removed dry rot trims, painting interior and exterior. TLDR: Hire Tony because he is a great professional with a lot of experience, a responsible person who won't leave you hanging, and is reasonable with cost. I plan to hire Tony for all other serious remodeling work from now on. We hired Tony's team around Spring of 2021 to do an entire kitchen remodel. His team is great to work with. If a team doesn't do well with a particular task, he will get a more specialized team to work on the task. He treated our kitchen as if it was his own. He is meticulous with details and has decades of experience under his belt. His teams (yes, he has teams of people), are kind and reasonable. They are hard-working, experienced, and are receptive to feedback. They always listened when we had a particular concern, minor or major. Tony was very accommodating. He would constantly listen to our feedback and accept input on how to make the process better. For instance, when I mentioned that I wanted to minimize construction dust, he immediately set up tents of 6-mil plastic barriers using Zipwall barriers. We then added intake and exhaust fans to blow away construction dust. Tony is a responsible and honorable person. In our project, we ran into an incident where the quartz subcontractor wasn't experienced with inset cabinets. That subcontractor cut a mitered edge that was too long and stretched too far for inset cabinets. It was clear and apparent both to us and to Tony that the subcontractor didn't cut the slab specifically for inset cabinets and, furthermore, the subcontractor was very sloppy with his work. The subcontractor left burn marks on the cabinets by using dull wood blades, damaged the cabinets, and left glue on the cabinets without cleaning up. These are Crystal cabinets and were over 30 grand in cost. It was a shame, to say the least. Tony immediately rectified the situation by getting new slabs and getting another subcontractor, from Baystone, to re-do the work. Furthermore, he found a specialist to repair the cabinets, and another specialist to fix the cabinet paint. Other contractors would leave you hanging and this event would probably have ended up in court. But, Tony not only recognized the problem, but he made sure to fix the problem right away. Although we had to wait an extra 6 weeks (and used the laundry room for the additional 6 weeks), Tony made sure we were happy, even though he took a loss for that part of the project. I'm very glad that Tony & his team were available to work on my property! I purchased a 100+ years fixer upper and only had few months to fix it. I tried to find several contractors before closing and found Tony online. He invited me to a house in Santa Clara that he just finished. I really liked what I saw. A wide open kitchen; the workmanship was terrific and the material selections were better than the model home. Tony has a calm manner and he made me feel that he is the contractor that I can trust. I invited many contractors & subcontractors to inspect the house to get a bid. What I like about Tony is that he gave me an honest assessment. He was the only contractor who inspected the house and right away brought up the concerns about the foundation. He explained that the cracks in the interior & exterior walls were due to the foundation, and unless we fix the foundation first, we might have further issues later (especially with tiling). The old house, as expected, had a bunch of issues in addition to the foundation (some were mentioned in the Seller Home Inspection booklet, but some came as a surprise). The house has mostly plaster walls, as opposed to dry walls. And this, my friend, is tough to work with. Some contractors would just shudder to see a plaster walls. The laundry & bathroom floors got dry rot and had to be replaced. The electrical outlets & switches had no ground so Tony had his team to open the plaster walls & rewire the whole house. (Not to mention adding a subpanel and generous number of electrical outlets to bring it up to code.) I wanted to open the space for the living area. I didn't know how difficult that was, but I just knew I wanted it open. Initially my architect wasn't sure if there was a beam that was long enough for it, so I didn't put much hope. But Tony came to the rescue! He found a beam that was perfect for it, and he could make it invisible so that the Living Area became truly open (at a reasonable price and very fast too!) As other homeowners (I suppose), I had a change of mind few times about one thing and another during the construction. Such as, when I realized installing Gas Washer Dryer would cost me at least 1000$ extra (as opposed to installing an Electric W&D) and it was toward the end of the project, ie less money in the bank left (LOL). But Tony was very understanding and often offered me Change of Orders at his cost to save me money. During the construction I also realized that I really wanted a media box, ie flush box where I can hide all of my modem, router, and cables. Tony's team accommodated it kindly, and now my house is wired with CAT6 Gigabit ethernet (I guess, thanks to ATT, too). I really appreciate how Tony's team always works on my house continuously, 6 days a week, from start to finish. I mean, this is my first major renovation work, but my friends, who have had bad experiences with other contractors, were very impressed at how fast they worked and how they always have people working on the house. Francis was the superintendent for the job, and he worked with Son on most days. Both were very easy to work with. They always did things the right way, neat, and exceeded expectation. We like Tony and his team a lot. We have three small children and a dog, so it was important that they were very professional and cleaned up after themselves daily. They were very diligent in taping, lining and or covering entry ways, doors, and windows to help prevent much of that construction dust from flowing through the rest of the house. We trusted them as we came and gone during the remodeling of our kitchen and family room while they worked. They were respectful to our home, children and neighborhood. My husband and I chose Tony Tran Construction because we appreciated the connection he made with us on our initial meeting. He took us to a beautifully remodeled home that he was finishing up on and we were able to speak with that home owner who expressed her satisfaction with Tony and his team. Our project continued during the unexpected challenges of the pandemic but Tony was always easy to contact and available throughout the project. Our project consisted of a kitchen remodel, new living area, Loft space, and new master suite. Our home originally was very dark and had 8ft ceilings throughout. The new construction consists of vaulted ceilings and several skylights and sun-tunnels. Our home has now become bright and open which we love. There were several change orders made but Tony generously helped us stay within our budgets. We decided to fix an existing bathroom shower which Tony kindly did at his cost, saving us significantly. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. These are highly professional tradesmen who more importantly take pride in their work! In my experience having had many contractors work on various projects around my home, I've realized that very seldom do contractors meet the very high bar I set for myself when building something with the passion and love that only a homeowner can give, hence I resorted to doing many of the projects myself. However, I have found a team that can produce something that is worthy of my extremely high standards, and if they can satisfy my OCD-ness than surely a normal homeowner will be just as blown away as I have been. We recently bought a Mobile home. The bathroom had a tiny tub, outdated and the kitchen was small and not enough counter space. This is our first home and finding a trustworthy contractor was our main concern. We contacted Tony after viewing his wonderful reviews online. Tony told us that he was a contractor with the City of San Jose Mobile Home Rehabilitation program and he has renovated more than 175 Mobile homes from 2005 to 2010. Replace switches with Smart and Remote Control switches. 6. Replace dry rot staircases and landing in front and the side of the Mobile Home. 7. He and his workers finished on April 23th, Seven days ahead of promised schedule. We moved in on April 24th and our life was wonderful. The results exceed our expectation. The dry rot staircases and landing were replaced with 2 x4 pressured treated wood and pressure treated plywood. The frames were solidly built and the rails were secured with long screws 3. Tony asked his worker to run 2 new Dedicated Electrical lines for Microwave and bathroom at his cost to save us money. 5. For the bathroom: Tony was able to extend the depth of the shower stall so we have ample space. He asked his worker to remove the panels and replaced with sheetrocks. He used tiles on walls and floor exactly same with his Custom Home Build near Lynbrook High School in Cupertino. Tony also bought a Shower Panel Tower that has a rainfall shower and a handheld shower head. It also has 3 body massage sprays. We don't even know this luxury system exists. As a matter of fact, My daughter jumped in joy when she saw the finished bathroom. 6. Tony recommended that we pay extra for the Bidet. My wife and my daughter love these extravaganza and luxury features. It also has a blue LED around the seat so we don't have to turn on the light using the toilet at night 7. Our Kitchen and Bathroom were so beautiful and no longer looks like the Mobile Home. We had so many praises from our family members and friends during the construction. 8. Tony has an artistic vision. We asked him to select all finished materials for us. 9. Even though our budget is much much less and can't compared to his $1,000,000 project but Tony treated us equally with respect and workmanship. Tony came to us with very high recommendation from our close friends and he lived up to it 100%. We had our home remodeled from October 22 to February 23. It included complete remodel of our kitchen , 3 bathrooms, replacing all the flooring and painting in and out. The first thing they did was lay the canvas tarp to protect our newly refinished wooden floors everywhere they walked. The demolition with the plasters on walls and ceilings took 2 days instead off 1 day according to Tony. His workers also repaired water damaged around the toilet area. Tony found that the water pipes of our home were the original galvanized pipes. He suggested to replace them with Copper Pipes and he offered to do it at his cost to save us money. His workers installed insulation and sheetrock to cover the walls and ceiling around the bathroom. The new texture was finished evenly. Tony suggested that we bought paint samples and painted on the wall so we could select the color. Unfortunately, the color we chose was darker than we like after painting was finished. We asked Tony to re-paint the entire walls in the bathroom. His workers had to put one coat of primer and 2 coats of the lighter color paint. When asked how much I need to pay him for the extra works. Tony said: "I won't charge you even 1 penny". Tony's integrity, generosity and his know how separated him from the pack of the Contractors. He wants to make his works to his Customers' satisfaction which my Mom and I are really appreciated. From the start, Hoang, one of his Superintendent was wonderful and he showed great respect of remodeling our home. He and his helper worked around the clock to finish our bathroom 5 days ahead of schedule on August 22nd. They used Professional Level System which made our surround walls and floor perfectly even and the grout line was perfectly straight. Tony also asked his workers to remove the ugly old Air Register from the wall and relocate it to the floor without charging me extra. I asked Tony to pick up all materials for the bathroom and he always complied and not charging for his time. We were delighted that we picked Tony Tran Construction to take care of our project. Tony is wonderful to work with and he never argued with us. Never, always with smiles and willing to make his Customers happy. We believe this is Tony's best behaviors. I wouldn't recommend working with this contractor. First of all he spent over 30 minutes talking about himself in our first meeting. It was annoying to say the least. Then he really wasn't organized in his attempt to do a quote. Finally he was shady because he wanted to do work without a permit. This year my wife and I bought a house knowing that it needed a lot of work. It was in the location we wanted, but as you can see in the before/after pictures had not been renovated and was older home. We found Tony through Buildzoom after meeting with several contractors. After a while, we completely went with his suggestions whether it was material or installation ideas. His work is very high quality. RECENT UPDATED REVIEW: Tony transformed our tiny kitchen into a wide open and eye catching kitchen in June 2017. He removed 3 loaded bearing walls to create a wide open space. He added a sub-floor on our sunken family room to make it even with the kitchen floor. He also demolished the wood burning Fireplace and replace it with an Electric Fireplace. We asked him to install a very large tile on the floor, the size is 24" x 48" and it is extremely heavy. He used The Pro-Level System and the tiles were laid perfectly even with perfect straight grout lines. The workmanship was Top Notch and the new kitchen looks marvelous. We have been enjoyed our new home remodeling. Last week, 1 of the recessed light burnt out and we found 3 rats in the laundry room. My wife is really afraid of rats. She immediately contacted Tony. He came, replaced the light and closed the opening of the sewage line to prevent the rats coming back. When we asked how much we owed him, Tony said " You don't owe me anything. It is my pleasure working with you and Linda ". The warranty was gone since it is more than 1 years ago. Not only he replaced the light, he even gave us 2 more spare lights to boot, He also showed me how to change the light if any burn out in the future. This review is overdue due to Covid-19 pandemic time. We made a mistake hiring a Bad Contractor to remodel our kitchen. The workmanship was so horrible that we couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to change. We got referral for our friend Tina and she spoke highly of Tony. Tony apparently was matched through BuildZoom for my ADU project. I returned his call the same day and spoke with him briefly about the details of my project. His prices are VERY FAIR, his work is outstanding and he is very timely & prompt. The best part is that he always answers his phone. Always. Tony has superb attention to detail and will not leave any small thing unfinished. I would give him instructions on how we wanted things, and he would do exactly as told. A whole house remodel can be quite a daunting task but our house was ready for one. We hired Mr. Tony Tran as our main contractor for the job and that was one of the best decisions we took. We interviewed and took quotes from quite a few other contractors but Tony shone primarily because of his pleasing personality and competitive bid. This wasn't definitely a most flawless project and hiccups did happen but Tony was not only understanding but very easy to deal with. Tony has the nicest crew in the business, I must say. They were a pleasure to deal with and very good at their craft. Also, important to note is that COVID-19 broke out during the remodel and there was a delay in the project. Tony and we spoke and agreed on a revised deadline to complete the project and Tony actually made the house "move back-in ready" a week before the deadline. Our project was a full renovation of our 3 story townhouse: originally built in the mid-80's, and literally everything needed updating. Removing soffits in the kitchen and bathrooms to raise the ceilings, installing hardwood floors throughout, refinish walls and ceilings to level 5 (goodbye unsightly stucco), complete redo of the kitchen and bathrooms, recessed lighting throughout the house, new stair railing and banisters, installing a whole house fan, upgrading our sub-panel, replacing all the doors, etc. We also had some structural work done, such as tearing down a dividing wall, building out a master bedroom walk-in closet, and building a pony wall by our entry way. And of course, all the issues you didn't plan on, such as ceilings and walls that aren't level, changes in design plans, etc. Tony and his crew did all the work, from demo to installation of all finished materials and fixtures, and I have to say that they did an outstanding job - the finished product exceeded our expectations. We trusted Tony to execute our 'once in a lifetime' home remodel, and he did not disappoint. If you're in the market for home remodeling, one of the most important decisions you'll make is in selecting a contractor to oversee and execute your project. While we had been planning our remodel for some time, finding the right contractor was for us the most difficult part. We eventually turned to BuildZoom for some help, and were able to narrow the field to four contractors, including Tony. We visited project sites for all four to review their work and speak with clients, and were confident that all four were qualified. What set Tony apart from the others however was his genuine nature, the pride he exuded in his work and going the extra mile, and the importance he placed on customer satisfaction. Over the course of our project we were in constant communication with Tony and his crew. Weekly meetings on site with Tony and our designer, and ad-hoc meetings as needed - sometimes quite frequently. Whether it was Tony or someone on his team, they were always available and responsive. It gave us great peace of mind to know that if there was ever an issue, we would be able to work through it immediately. And of course with a project of this scope, there will be issues. What matters though is how issues are handled. With Tony, if you're concerned then he's concerned. And if you're not satisfied, then neither is he. He will go the extra mile to make sure you're happy, and if mistakes are made he'll make them right. A good example was the tile flooring in our powder room. One of his crew mistakenly used a thicker hardi-backer than called for. This didn't become apparent until after the tile floor was finished, and the wood floor outside installed. The two floors were offset by a 1/4" height difference. Working with our designer we came up with a workaround using a stone transition trim. Tony however decided the right thing to do was to re-do the entire powder room floor, at his cost, including purchasing the additional tile needed. Tony takes pride in his work product, and it shows. Also requiring recognition is Tony's outstanding team. I have to believe he has some of the best in the trade working for him, and they were all very professional and easy to work with. Tu and Loc were there almost every day and installed most of our fixtures, the electrical, kitchen backsplash and fireplace tiles, lights, etc., Andy installed our kitchen cabinets, baseboards, and casings, Marcos did the tile work in our bathrooms, Tabo fabricated our natural stone countertops and waterfall island, Jenny painted throughout the house, (another) Tu crafted the stair railing and banisters, and Alfonso did the level 5 work. Given the duration of our project it's important that you're able to work well with the team, and I'm happy to say we got to know them all by name and genuinely enjoyed working with them. As you would hope, they all cared about their work product and our satisfaction. Overall, we're very happy we found Tony and had him on our project. His integrity, know-how, and emphasis on a job well done make all the difference. That, and the excellent team he has assembled around him. We recently had Tony Tran Construction work on opening up our kitchen & living room into one big open space. Tony took the time to visit us multiple times before we finalized the contract and helped us draw the kitchen plan. Also Tony spent time working with City of Livermore plan checker to get the City permit. The scope of work was: 1. Demolition of Fireplace 2. Remove 3 walls separated kitchen and family room 3. Demolition of kitchen cabinets and countertops 4. Upgrade Electrical panel tpp00Ade to a bigger panel to add 6 dedicated lines in kitchen required by the City of Livermore 5. Replace existing floor coverings with Pergo 6. Replace florescent lights with LED recessed lights Tony & team carefully installed plastic to cover the hallways to prevent Construction dust flowing to the bedrooms, demolitions were finished quickly. We had a huge window on the side of the sink and no place for Electrical outlets. Alicia, the Livermore Inspector suggested Tony to install over counter Electrical outlets. Tony didn't buy the cheap units which cost about $50 at Amazon, he instead installed the best of the line unit in Home Depot at $162 per piece. Upon the completion of the project, Tony replaced all Electrical outlets and outlets of kitchen, dining and family rooms to the new design plus the screw-less covers without being asked. We are very happy with the wide open and beautiful kitchen. Tony is very reliable, answers calls and has great vision. Tony and his team work fast and efficient. The workmanship was excellent and compared to Lexus perfection. No single detail got overlooked. He did it again! Tony Tran and his crew transformed our 1970s style kitchen into a beautiful modern kitchen with a marvelous waterfall island overlooking our front yard. This is the heart of the home, the kitchen is mostly-used room in the house, so Tony incorporate practical, stylish interiors that stand the test of time into a multi-functional space. My husband and I love the way Tony designs out kitchen layout - it is quite staggering - encompassing the open kitchen-plan, scullery, and a little nook for breakfast. We love the simplicity of the design and how it really captures the quintessentially classic English style, but more importantly, it suits the family's needs perfectly. The labor requires a lot of work from the team, as Tony had to break down a wall between the kitchen and the living room, build up a stronger beam to support the roof, and diligently remove all the old kitchen cabinets that crowded the kitchen layout. Whole House Renovation It's been way overdue to have the pleasure to write this review. We have a multiple thousands square feet home that needed an overhaul, renovation and remodeling for the entire interior including walls, flooring, lighting, electrical, plumbing, hardware, and bathrooms. Price is no concern but the criteria of our contractor had to be able to start our project in a reasonable time and be able to finish the entire project in three to four months on an agreeable deadline. Needless to say, he needs to meet our high standards and expectations, pay attention to details, have the experience, have good reviews, and be able to tailor to the client's specific needs and demands. From the initial meeting, we found Tony very professional, calm, easygoing, and knowledgeable. He told us he can do whatever we want because he is a contractor, and that's true, because he can help us to fix anything in and out of the house even in the yard and the roof beside the remodeling. One of the best experiences we had working with Tony was you deal with him only as the contractor and owner of the company. We didn't have to deal with receptionist to take messages in a big company and hope the contractor or your point of contact will call you back. Another extremely important attribute was Tony only works on one project at a time. In other words, you have his and his whole crew members attention to work on yours and only your project at the time. We didn't have to worry about nightmares we heard about some contractors working on multiple projects at the same time, so after they started your project they disappeared for a while to work on other projects and let you hang out there for periods of time. We purchased a lot of the items and fixtures ourselves. However, when we needed to find a good vendor for our floor and counter materials, Tony had referred us to wonderful vendors with great selections. At our request, he also kindly accompanied us out of his busy schedule to help us finalize the selections. Icing on the cake was he voluntarily and generously passed on his contractor discounts to us that we never expected and heard of before. We also requested to touch base with Tony on a daily basis which he was more than happy to accommodate. Sometimes he even delayed or skipped his dinner to meet us. He was always available by phone call or text in between. During our project, there were more than a handful of things come up that were unforeseen, and Tony was more than willing to help us to fix. He didn't even charge us for numerous of those projects! When time came to finish up the project on time, Tony even paid his crew extra to work on Sundays and brought in extra personnel to help out to meet the deadline. Needless to say, Tony finished the project on time. The outcome was exquisite and wonderful. We got a lot of great comments from our friends and family. Shortly after the project, one of the small pipes on a new fixture broke and was leaking. We called Tony for help, he sent two of his crew within hours the same day to fix the situation. That's excellent customer service! Tony also said after we settled down, he will come back to touch up scratches or marks on the wall for us. However, life is always so busy and we have yet to contact Tony to take up his offer. Overall, our experience with Tony was extremely smooth and we are more than satisfied. My bathroom was a diy project that got stalled for a long time. When we finally had enough money, we looked for someone who would help us demo the existing floor tiling, tile the shower tub combo, finish drywalling the ceiling, texture the wall/ceiling, install a baseboard, install floor heating, retile the floor, and switch the window in the shower to a more waterproof solution. After browing yelp reviews, we contacted Tony. Working with Tony was a breeze. Every transaction with him has been efficient, easy, and informative. He is very knowledgeable about different solutions for your space and is very supportive of your style. I know of some contractors who will try to persuade you into whatever style they're used to, but not Tony. When I told him about my plans, he just told me to provide the right materials and he would gladly install it for me. Most importantly, HE KEEPS HIS PROMISES. He promised his guys would be dedicated to my project for 10 days straight, and they were! From start to finish, Hoa and Thanh were amazing as well. They were very skilled and efficient at what they did. Quality was an obvious priority for them. They checked in at every step of the way to make sure that I was getting the results I wanted. They were patient enough to try 3 different grouts and scrape them out each time until I was satisfied with the color. It was very stressful for me, but they were so gracious and agreed that the final grout color was worth it. I also overheard a conversation about how they had to recut some tiles because they were just slightly off, without me noticing anything was wrong. That was the moment I realized what a gem Tony Tran Construction was. I was receiving the best quality work possible. The results were BEAUTIFUL!!! The tiling placement in the shower was incredibly symmetrical, even how it wraps around the window. The shower boxes they custom built to my design were perfectly placed. The walls were a flat texture which they had sanded down for hours to perfection. The floor tiles were very incredibly hard to work with (we know because we botched it), but they pulled it off, and they couldn't be any more beautiful! Please refer to my pictures as pictures are worth more than words. Tony and his guys also noticed that there was an error to my bathroom fan installation, so they got the materials to fix the problem, at no extra charge! Tony is obviously concerned about the quality and longevity of his projects and also, the satisfaction of his clients. Did the stairs and some latticework on our 100 year old triple decker quickly and adequately but nothing special. No style. Replaced a period paneled Newell post with something plain and very basic. Stairs look like LEGOs. Had a complaint about a gap left on the post at the top of the stairs that he never followed up on. Gets the job done I guess. read more

I can only speak to my interaction with Tony but not about working with him. I called him for an estimate and he was able to meet me the following weekend. He took the time to answer many questions thoroughly. He gave his honest professional advice without sugarcoating what he can or cannot do. We wanted to fix a squeaky floor problem by replacing nails with screws, and he said that the problem is with the cheap particle floorboards. If we're not prepared to replace the whole subflooring layers, it wouldn't be worth our money. He could've easily taken the job and our money but he was honest. I really appreciated it. This is a review of Tony's work on my parents' kitchen. He started back in early April and finished on schedule. There were a number of unforeseen expenses including termite damage and the work required to fix the resulting structural damage. Nevertheless, Tony and his team did an excellent job in explaining every step of the process and were extremely reliable and honest. The workmanship is excellent, and the results speak for themself. His assistant, Hoa, was also very handy. We are ecstatic with the quality and care that they took with the job, all throughout the process. They even took a great amount of work in cleaning up after the job. This attention to detail throughout the last few weeks made a large renovation project seem like a breeze. Cost was super higher compared to other contractors. When i tried to negotiate he wouldn't budge much and ultimately just disappeared without a word. Nice person but i think Mr. Tran stops communicating when he feels theres no business to gain. It's unfortunate because i really wanted to work with him. read more
