Yesterday I had Pork Tamales and they were excellent !!!!!! The pork is very finely shredded. Very mild flavor. I've never had anything like it before at various other eateries. I recently tried this establishment. I ordered two burritos for take-out. A chicken for my son, and a chili verde for me. I did a phone order. The young lad on the other side of the phone was busy sounding, but polite. The food was prepared quickly and would be ready by the time that we hopped in our car and drove there in less than 10 minutes. My son said that his burrito was fine. But I gotta tell you, that I really enjoyed my chili verde burrito! First of all, you could smell the aroma in the bag. My older son, who picked up the order for me, said that it smelled delicious and wished that he had ordered from there as well. The burrito was indeed tasty, but what also made it enjoyable was that I could actually enjoy the pork. There was plenty of it to know that you were chewing on meat. In some places, it is more like beans with meat flavor. But not here! It's the real thing. We also ordered 10 corn burritos. They were okay, but having grown up with Santa Paula's Mr. Chips famous corn burritos in the '70s, no one's sauce quite does the trick. All in all, I would come back to this place. The one thing that turned me off was the cash price vs. the credit card price. It was $40 vs $44. Not only do I believe that companies should factor this cost in when pricing their products, but that's a 10% difference! I am not aware of any credit card company charging their vendors 10%. I was told many years ago, that American Express is the most expensive at around 3%. Visa and MC are usually about 1/2 that amount. read more

Food is also so good. Upset tummy so I am going for the best remedy their abondigas soup. Full of flavor and their salsa adds the perfect just right bite. It always comes with a side of rice and honestly if they miss it I miss it! It's warm and cozy and adds the balance it needs. I also got some taquitos to help with that crunchy craving my kids always have and there bomb guacamole salsa. I look forward to coming because they are always kind and I always feel welcome. Perfectly fine burritos in an unfussy location. I ordered the asada burrito with rice, beans and cheese, and it came with a side of chips with salsa. The burrito was average; not very flavorful, but passable. The meat was unfortunately on the drier side. The chips and salsa were decent. The decor is the casual "hole in the wall" type. There are a bunch of chairs with Chinese characters carved in them, which I found to be pretty amusing for a Mexican restaurant. It's definitely a function over stye kind of place, which is fine with me. This is a good place to drop by for a quick bite during a lunch break at work. I've lived by this place my whole life practically. And it's amazing if you get the right things they specialize in making. Just as any restaurant there are some food items they're better at making then others. This always been my go2 for corn burritos or breakfast burritos they're albondigas soup is ok, not the best I've had but definitely good. They're pozole is okay too. Maybe it was an off day, but I cant say I was overly "wowed" by this place, and again maybe its because I'm spoiled by my upbringing in San Diego where GOOD Mexican food was only a few minutes from my grasp. The corn burritos ($4.75 for 5) were nothing to brag about, smaller than the 3-rolled tacos I have ordered from a "-Bertos" down south, just topped with shredded cheese and filled (if you could find it) with nothing more than beans. I suppose you could ask for what I'm used to which is guacamole and sour cream on top, and a little more "plump". I do give them hats off though for the Chile Verde burrito, just as it came was a great flavor with and without the sauce. The small sized burrito was enough to fill me up ($3.60), though again nothing like the size of a burrito I'm used to, and with everything optional almost seems foreign to me.
