The food is excellent and the prices are not bad for what you get. I personally get the Haystack which is scrambled eggs on top of biscuits and gravy. Usually pretty busy unless you get there early. They don't have a ton of servers to stay on top of the busy times. They do their best and food is excellent though. read more

Great service and food. We had coffee almost immediately. The servers were all helpful and we enjoyed our breakfast so much we had to come back the next day. We just had breakfast here. Everything was great. I had the chopped steak and eggs, steak was cooked perfectly to my specifications. Hashbrowns were buttery tasting and nicely browned. The breakfast steak was good but I could taste how old the oil was in the hash browns. If they clean their grills and don't let the grease burn to them that won't happen. Otherwise the place looked nice and the staff was friendly but you don't go to restaurants for the staff, you go for the food. read more

My dad really wanted to try this place and I really didn't care. We walked in and I figured that the food would be fine, nothing extravagant or extraordinary. I was expecting nothing more than diner food and I was fine with that. But...... OMG when I received my delicious patty melt and warm soup I was amazed. Went in here with my boyfriend, was not acknowledged when we walked in for s good while. Only a few other diners in the establishment. After being seated took a good while to ask what we wanted to drink. Reviewed the menu and nothing special. Nothing that I couldn't make at home. Could tell by food other patrons had and the menu pictures NOTHING is homemade. All out of a can or frozen. Not the reason I come eat at a restaurant. I want better than what I can eat at home. Ending up leaving cause the food was disgusting and wait staff was not pleasant. Not to mention the extra parking next door with the empty building is an eyesore. read more

We had a party of 6 and arrived at Tony's around 5:30 on a Saturday night. Thought we might have to wait but were seated right away. Restaurant was probably 90% full. Our waitress was very good and took time with us even though she was extremely busy. Each of us had a different entre and one a breakfast. All of us were totally satisfied with the quality of the food, fast service and reasonably priced. Delicious. We will be back. No frills but great place to eat. read more

I've tried this place a few different times for both breakfast and lunch. The first time I went was right after it opened, I tried one of the skillets, which had under cooked hash browns and just so much food it was cold and gelatinous before I even got half way into it. I figured it might have been a opening hiccup and tried again a month or so later. This time I ordered hash browns on the side and asked for them to be crispy. What I got was a few crispy pieces on top and once again, under cooked almost raw hash browns underneath. Since they struck out twice on breakfast I tried one of their lunch items and while the fries my husband ordered were tasty, the salad I ordered looked like it was cut with a hatchet. At first I thought there was a mistake and this must just be my husbands burger toppings but nope, I was informed that was indeed my salad. Just a tip, but when you slice onions and tomatoes for salads they shouldn't be 3 inches thick. I really wanted to like this place since I live close by, and love locally owned restaurants but there's really nothing I can't do better at home. *Edited to add the portions are insanity and I can't imagine how high the food costs are. Maybe if they focused more on quality and flavor instead of just overfilling people on sub par food they would have a better run of it. read more

I was not expecting much, so when I was so pleasantly surprised I just had to give Tony's 4 Stars. We stopped by on our way back into Bloomington hoping to get a quick bite that was not "drive thru". We had a dinner salad and the the daily soup (Bean and chicken noodle). Salad, was fresh and crisp and soups were outstanding. My husband had the fried chicken and said it was very good. Went to Tony's for dinner. My wife had the roast beef with mashed potatoes and I had the gyro platter. The gyro was good, the roast beef and especially the potatoes were meh. Service was very prompt. Total tab for meals with soft drinks was $21. So, I view this as a place to go grab a quick and inexpensive burger when we don't feel like cooking, and one could take a family there for decent food without blowing your restaurant budget for the month. read more

Our family met here for breakfast a few weeks after they opened. This location once housed a Pizza Hut, but the transformation is amazing. The dining room is charming and comfortable, the food is terrific, and the service is great. went tonight for some grub. nice clean remodel of old Pizza hut. bright and plenty of room, had a nice bubbly waitress seemed a little airy but she did ok. we decided to have breakfast for dinner. had the country Omelet and hash browns nice full and tasty. hash brown good as hash browns are.could have added some onion. wife had a ham and cheese omelet and another fried potato side. she wished they would use warm the plates the potatoes seemed cold to her. one in our party had a Hamburger and fries said the burger was good. she also had the chicken dumpling soup. her and the wife said it was good, liked it. our third diner wanted a soda refill but could not get our waitresses attention. she brought our check early without asking if we wanted a piece of pie or cake. after she spoke highly of it when we first ordered. now it was getting busy I can get over these little things because we left full and satiated. now the woman handling the cash register. needs to go. wife went to pay our bill she said nothing to my wife until she had almost completed the transaction and was as personable as a rock. give it a try at least for the food. read more
