Excellent bread, salads, dinner, & beverages. Service was excellent and the restaurant was quiet for a Thursday evening.

This place has been open for decades-- even though it is in the middle of nowhere! Says something for their cooking for sure! I was fortunate to go with a big group so I got to try a little bit of everything - the steak, which they are known for, their scallops, pasta, every appetizer under the sun, and then the ice cream for dessert - which I believe they source from fox creamery (which if you haven't been, I highly recommend). I seriously have no complaints other than we over ordered and I ate way too much!! Highlights for sure were the perfectly seared steak (they offer steak with a side of steak... in case you are interested), the tomahawk pork chop -- again, perfectly cooked -- the bone marrow appetizer (typically you get a dinky serving when you order that, but this was enough to share with 4 people easily). Drinks were delicious and I was told the Manhattan was on point so don't be afraid to adventure into their cocktail menu Also - the place is just cool and I imagine beautiful in the summer since their dining room faces out into the woods. I went on a cold, rainy night and the open fire was welcoming and warm. Just an absolute hidden gem! Seriously hidden though - please be careful on those back roads!

Had a wonderful dinner with my family. Everything was so delicious & Jacob, our server, was outstanding.

Went there for appetizers and boy did we eat good! Thanks Megan for taking such good care of us at the bar with our food and drink. Love the eclectic look of this place....very clean and calm inside and great music! We were there a few times when the original owner's daughter had it and it was very nice...they were very accommodating...and we were here in the winter time and sat by the fire pit and I was in heat heaven!!! Very nice meal...this time we fell in lust with the unique food......warmed olives with nice crusted bread.....whipped habanero honey dip with pitas....and Duck Nachos which were awesome! If you talk to Megan, she might remember a funny story about me and those nachos. Every bite was and explosion of flavors ever so tasty....please support local...your heart and belly will thank you!

Great atmosphere! our family loves coming here for dinner and drinks. the staff is always so friendly and the food is amazing. don't miss this hidden gem!

Great 5 star steakhouse. Very dark lighting. Steaks are always good. Be sure to be prepared for a large tab.

When arriving we were able to seat ourselves and there was maybe 2 other tables dining at the time. We were told the wait staff was very short handed, but I can say, they still did an awesome job at keeping drinks full, getting food out, and just checking in on the guests, especially since it was getting busier as we left. When it came to the food.... Chicken tenders with buffalo sauce: to me, this was probably the best thing, even though there was nothing special. The mild sauce really did not have much heat to it, for me that's a good thing, but my boyfriend wasn't too impressed Mac and Cheese: This was very bland, just nothing that made me want this again. I feel if they added in maybe another type of cheese it could have done something to the dish. My boyfriend added steak to his mac n cheese and it was over-done to him. Baked potato: it looked old and not very appetizing just by the skin French Fries: These were very different and had a sweet taste to them. I can say I was not a fan of these, but my boyfriend thought these were the best part of the meal. Overall, the service was very good based on the shortness of help, but the food was just average and nothing I would need to go back for.

A real…read morefire crackled in the stone fireplace in the lounge, and we were ushered into a charming stone dining room that felt like stepping back in time. The building itself clearly carries history -- I actually had to duck slightly to pass through the low stone archway leading to our table. It added to the character and intimacy of the space. We started with the tuna tartare, which was a standout. I'm "that aunt" in the family -- the one who encourages the kids to try new things -- and this dinner was my monthly outing with my nephew. So yes, raw tuna hit the table. It turned out to be the perfect introduction. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and approachable, it made trying something new feel effortless. A total win. He ordered chicken nuggets, and while that might sound simple, they were clearly house-made, fresh-cut, and thoughtfully prepared. For chicken nuggets, they were excellent. My scallops, unfortunately, didn't quite land for me. The accompanying preparation felt overly complex and ended up overpowering the natural delicacy of the scallops. That said, the menu offers plenty of other intriguing options, and I'd absolutely return to explore more. Service throughout the evening was kind, attentive, and prompt -- exactly what you hope for during a relaxed dinner out. Overall, a warm, character-filled spot with standout starters and welcoming staff. Looking forward to the next visit.

If you look at the side salad from before ( within a year) it was bigger. You get charged if you want to substitute instead of chips but Tiny Tim wouldn't be satisfied with that side salad. And to piggy back on that my "large" house salad with added grilled chicken was the same portion as that tiny side salad but with a grilled chicken with it. Look at the older photos and you can see the difference on the side salad. Like I know they buy premade salad. Add a little more at least to the "large" salad. The crab cake looked about the same as the other and still tasted good to my husband. So they still charge you the full price of a side salad to substitute and just add it in the price. So it would be easier to get a salad on the side and get what they give you. We are spending our money to dine at least make it worth it. The last 4 pictures show our charges. Our waitress was nice and the food is good but not for those prices. Shame on you bluebird for the salad portions and not letting patrons know there isn't a discount on substituting your sides.

It lends a feeling of low ceilings and coziness. You have glimpses of the wooded outdoors and paintings of wildlife. There's also a set of bronze climber that's rather quirky. Our party of seven was there to quietly celebrate a 31st wedding anniversary and the restaurant was very kind about our disorganized group. The guests of honor had ordered a Blue Moon Belgian White (served with an orange slice) and waters while waiting for the rest of us. The food was very well prepared. The St. Patrick's Day menu was an early feature & some of us took advantage with a notable option being the Reuben Quesadilla. My mother-in-law was concerned that the sauerkraut would make it soggy. We were pleased that her quesadilla was crispy & she said it was a generous amount of corned beef. Father-in-law ordered the Roast Beef #3, which is described as "Served hot on thick sliced sourdough, and smothered with fries & gravy". It was, indeed, smother in gravy and looked like a very generous portion to me. A couple other dishes were the Cajun Style Chicken Alfredo and Shepherd's Pie. I was informed that they were great dishes and sister-in-law-to-be claimed it was a better shepherd's pie than she could make at home. High praise! We had the Fish & chips. The haddock was a large filet, the batter was a good ratio to the flesh and the fry was a great temperature. There was no excess of greasiness. The chips and fish were very crunchy without being dried out inside. The tartar sauce was unremarkable, but the coleslaw was perfect; tangy with vegetables that had a crisp crunch. Our waitress was very patient with our little one; the pickiest of us declined anything except a beverage until it was time for dessert, which was a kids vanilla ice cream, with sprinkles. I ordered a Lemon Berry Cream Mascarpone - a white cake with a delicate crumb, delicious cream filling, tart cranberries and sweet blueberries. Absolutely the best dessert I've had in Pennsylvania. The rest of the party ordered Cheesecakes and Irish Bread pudding. There were no complaints to be heard.

Mt Gretna is general is a great time. It is fun , outdoorsy, great bar scene and great food. Definitely better in the summer compared to the winter, but such a cool atmosphere! The food was awesome. Roast Beef, simply great! The Guinness Burger was very good, great taste. A lot of places are going smash burgers route, but this style of burger is definitely better. The fries were average, definitely had better. Biggest knock that brings it down to a 4 star is the price for the the food is a little on the higher side. Overall good place!

I ordered the pomegranate margarita and it was delicious balanced, refreshing, and easy to enjoy. My friend got the White Christmas Cosmo and loved it (I personally didn't, but hey, different palates). Cocktail-wise, no complaints. We ordered two appetizers, the potato logs and the crab pretzel and both were very good. Comfort food done right, perfect for snacking while you sit and talk your life through. We went midday on a Wednesday, and it was pretty quiet maybe 8 people total in the restaurant and 3-4 front-of-house staff. Service was fine; the bartender was a little slow, but it seemed like she might've been training or juggling other tables, so I'm not mad about it. Prices are average nothing shocking, nothing screaming bargain. And while it's centrally located and close to a lot of other things, I loathe the parking situation around here. The way the shopping centers connect is confusing, awkward, and just doesn't flow well. Minor rage, but worth mentioning. Bottom line: It's not my favorite place, and it's not somewhere I go for dinner or lunch regularly but for a few drinks, decent apps, and a low-pressure hang, Mick's absolutely gets the job done.

She did ask if she could get me another one and would let the manager know. Didn't want another she said would take it off the bill. A few minutes later I guess the manager who I thought was a bartender came over to ask about the Chili. I explained and asked her if she saw what they were serving. She said no didn't see it. Apologized. Also not a trained manager. She should have checked to see what the product looked like. Should have done more than deducted the one item off the check. Whether it was a come back coupon or another perk. Not only that but the sandwich was also poorly made . It is obvious that neither the kitchen cares nor the manager. Training and supervisory assistance is needed at this unit.
