Texas fries with sauce and beef dogs all the way, gotta have a cup of coffee too.

Food was delicious, the owner was there, and was funny with his jokes, I'm from Buffalo n.y, and I would stop there any time on the area for a dog or two, French fries where great, the service from the female waitresses was amazing, the prices where very fair as well, very nice place to stop and support your American owned business.

Tony's is the place to go for a great bite to eat for a great price. I got the buffalo ranch chicken fries and a bacon omelette with home fries, and both were flavorful and filling. Their coffee is delicious, and the ambiance is welcoming. Great service. I would definitely stop in again!

We wanted something quick for lunch and did a search on the app to see what was near by. Tony's popped up and it was a hit. The small place puts a whole lot of love in their food. It's located on the busy corner of Broadway and Prospect along with a few other businesses. The old school diner is small and is open until early evenings. The place was full of people when I got a to-go at 1 o'clock from there on a Saturday. It was ready within 10 minutes of ordering and I was thanked for coming by. The picture doesn't do justice on the presentation, but it's good. It may get a little messy at times and it's worth every bite. The cheese dogs, onion rings, buffalo chicken tenders, fries, and grilled cheese sandwiches were enjoyed by all of us. Thanks for the quick lunch to eat :)

was in the area and heard great things about this place and wanted a quick lunch. first great service, greeted as soon as i enter and took my order right away and was so cool about me ordering after order i made. I tried the hog dogs with cheese and bacon, man was it good, cheese was great, bacon was cooked just right, no burnt pieces or underdone ones, the hot dog was grilled just right. I see why this place is known for it. I ordered a second dog same style to go and an onion ring. as for the Onion rings, normally bigger rings are not crispy, but here man were they good, nice and crispy and just right size of onion slices. Great prices and felt like a local with just one visit.

We stopped here for a quick dog, as Tony's is an iconic establishment with some amazing reviews. Per one of the employees, they've been in business since the 30's and at the current location, on Broadway, since the 60's. They're open at 6:30 AM six days / week, and close late afternoon. Totally closed on Sundays. Kind of a smallish place, with less than 10 tables and about 10 stools at a counter. Prices are reasonable, especially for breakfast. Not quite sure what the bulk pricing is all about for hot dogs and hamburgers. One HD is $2.50; ten for $25.00; twenty for $50.00. If this is some sort of math quiz or logic test, I guess the message is "no discount for large quantities!" Both of us thought the HD was ok, but nothing special. They are skinless and grilled. No "snap" to them at all. The "everything Texas hot weiner", which is what I had, includes mustard, Texas sauce, and chopped onions. Again, it was good, not great. Overall, I was underwhelmed.

I love spots like this, small, humbled surrounding, friendly, neighborly and very traditional. I tried coming here before but it was packed. Today I felt like a fresh burger and that's exactly what I got. (I ordered two) Their menu is very small, mainly breakfast and lunch, it seems like everyone comes in for the burgers and hotdogs topped with their special sauce ( which they sell). Can't wait to bring my husband, thankfully it's not to far from my house so we can get up one morning and have a bacon/egg/cheese or my favorite a B.L.T

A newburgh staple. Comfortable, quaint, smokey, onioney, old school, relaxing little diner on Broadway. Don't expect to walk in here and get some Michelin star quality meal in here. What you're going to get a solid hot dog/burger with a very good 'special' sauce and the fixings. You're going to have very good service at the counter and get taken care of when you're seated down at the tables. Order the texas hot with the sauce and bacon and you'll be set.

*Hot Dog review only* Made a point to stop by since I was passing through, to try the Hot Dogs. I walked in and saw the griddle full of dogs but...I noticed they looked the same as the cheap crappy non-beef hot dogs Coney Island in Middletown serves when you don't ask for all beef. Against my better judgement and my curiosity, I ordered 2 dogs with everything (mustard, chopped onions and the chili sauce. Well, the hot dogs tasted bad and the sauce was more like an red oniony sauce rather than the typical meat sauce. I couldn't even eat the 2nd one and threw it out. Too bad. They seem like nice folks. Those hot dogs should be outlawed!

    Tom Tom Patty Melt Sandwich

This restaurant is a true slice of Americana. Go to this town, talk to the staff, stand outside while you wait for your food and maybe you'll get lucky like me and some random guy will give you the history of Newburgh and Tony's. Their sauce is an incredibly flavorful and pungent onion meat mixture that goes great on everything. The Tom Tom Patty Melt might be the best sandwich I've had this year.

Imagine a cool dive bar kind of like CBGB, but with amazing food! And let's talk about the food, the owner Dan is a trained chef. The menu is so vast and eclectic. It might take you a while to decide on what you want to eat. And if you're a vegetarian or a vegan, oh my God, the choices are so abundant, but everything is absolutely amazing! Best macaroni and cheese I've ever had and I had a vegan sausage and pepper hero with hand cut fries simply amazing! The staff are very friendly. The cocktails are amazing and they have a lot of live music. There really great place to hang out!

Newburgh, NY - we were directed to eat here by a friend after we visited nearby Motorcyclepedia…read more It's a popular local hangout, and the vibes immediately strike me as: if this were my neighborhood watering hole, I'd be a regular here. The decor alone earns a star: rock n roll ephemera covers every surface - walls, ceiling, shelves and display case - and takes me back to the days when I went to "shows" and not "concerts." There's even a small stage in the corner for live music, so that definitely checks out. Our friendly server Dianne hands us menus printed on newspaper, and I needed a moment to decide between the large selection of comfort food classics with creative variations on a theme - burgers, sandwiches, salads, mac & cheese, chilis & soups, burritos, wraps, fajitas, rice bowls, and specialty entrées - finally settling on some apps and a burger to share with my kiddo (which I'm told are good here), while our friend went for a steak bowl. There's a surprisingly large vegan and vegetarian section. Surprising because I haven't come across many veggie-forward pubs that offer anything more than a perfunctory Beyond Burger/black bean burger and an anemic salad. Here, they actually respect the non-carnivore's right to have some decent choices. The "hot" wings are alright and not really hot (though admittedly my spice sensors are likely eroded from my intense affinity for heat), but the poutine was a standout, which we ordered with bbq pork add-on. And while it won't quite pass muster in Montreal (tbh I've rarely had authentic poutine in the US despite seeing it on menus a lot - the cheese curds are never right), it was piping hot and delicious. The revelation was the twisty cut potatoes underneath, seriously additive! I love places with heart, which isn't always easy to define but the effort can be discerned in the atmosphere and the details. The Wherehouse has got that spirit & essence. With 16 rotating draft lines featuring regional brews, and substantial food offerings that far outpaces the typical bar menu, it's a down-to-earth dining establishment with the soul of a dive bar, that makes you feel welcomed like a local from the get-go.

Nathan's all-beef hot dogs are the best and of course I had to have the Chicago style hot dog but I've never eaten at one of their restaurants. I've only made them myself. I first looked through the Starbucks, but when I turned out and found nothing really edible that would have sufficed for "brain food", I had to turn to looking for something else. I saw Roy Rogers (and almost bought there), but when I saw no workers working there nor any line, when I realized I could be served with more choices quicker, I went with the quickest-way and headed to your Nathan's booth instead. I ordered two hotdogs and a soda, and unlike most Nathan's I've eaten at, the whole order came to 10.79. That's a rip-off. Although I got a good hotdog like others, the total price was nowhere in line with most Nathan's. The employee just handed me the cup and never told me at first where the soda machine was. I looked to my left as I gave her the card, but never looked in back of me to my right (until much later). Couldn't she have said: "You can find the soda machines to your right over there" and that would have sufficed? After looking for a few minutes to find this machine, it took me a while. I tried the Sprite, and thank god I taste-tested what I ordered before moving on. The Sprite was not at the right consistency of spritzer to flavoring (100% seltzer and 0% flavoring), so I moved onto Root beer which I found to be a little on the flat side, but tasted okay otherwise. I'll settle for taste and not so much carbonation in this case only. I came back after I grabbed a lid, and by that time my hot dogs had come out and were already boxed up and ready to be taken to a table and eaten. I had to talk with my mom a second or two first, then off to the tables near the Roy Rogers to be eaten. This idea wasn't such a good idea today, apparently. However, I was thinking the right things at first, or so I thought.
