We almost left when I could not find one clean table to sit at and there was only one other couple dinning there. I grabbed some napkins and cleaned our own table and bench. We have been living in Palm Coast almost 3 years and are continually finding new things to visit and new restaurants to enjoy! We had long time friends here from Chattanooga and they were interested in italian food. We called Romeros in Flagler Beach but they didn't have any reservations until 8:30. We considered Carabbas but our friends had one in Chattanooga and wanted something new. My wife and I had visited Tony's Pizza in Island Walk about a year ago and she recalled they had a much wider Italian menu than just pizza. It was also only a few miles away so we all went there! OMG were we pleasantly surprised at their menu! The interior is nicely decorated and there was more seating than we recalled. The menu was extensive, the portions were very generous, the service was very 'spot on', and our friends were amazed at the prices. Wife had eggplant lasagna and I had Antipasto. We are on Keto diet and these fit our low carb approach. Friends had meals w/ pasta they enjoyed, and they were very surprised as the setting (nice but not over the top at all) didn't predict the amazing experience we had... and the name (Tony's Pizza) didn't give us to expect such an extensive Italian menu! Are we just late to the party (finding such a diamond in the rough) or have my fellow PC residents just been keeping this a secret to themselves? None of our friends have recommended this to us! Pizza was great! But my compliant is they have waitresses/waiters for a reason. To take orders, tell specials and make sure the customer is satisfied. Wednesday they have a $10 pizza deal which would have been nice to know about BEFORE the order is taken. I too bought a pie, extra cheese and lightly baked, because the reviews here were mostly very good. BIG disappointment! I basically threw out the whole pie. 1- Extra cheese?? There wasn't even enough cheese for a regular pie. 2- The cheese and crust were terrible. Cheese was a low quality mozzarella which left a greasy, almost waxy feeling in your mouth. Very little sauce and cheese in the center, leaving a two inch wide crust, the pizza was all crust. And NOT lightly baked, as I ordered 3- I ordered a bag of zeppole. The worst EVER. Pizza crust cut into bite sized pieces and coated with powdered sugar. If you don't like the crust, you'll HATE the zeppole. 4- NOTHING like a NY pizza. Even the worst pizza in NY is better than this. Never again. read more

Pizza place, standard pizzeria menu. The individual slices in my humble opinion are better than the whole pie. Large slices at the counter. This place used to owned by a guy from Poughkeepsie, NY and he turned out a great product. I have been told that the business changed hands and the quality has diminished just a little. The cheese calzone was really good, large pie with spinach was just a large pie with a few raw spinach leaves on it. If I try it again, I'm going to ask for sautéed spinach on the pie. Crust just a tad too thin, sauce is tasty. Fried calamari app was horrible, too oily and every ring was perfectly round; looked more like fried onion rings. I make homemade pizza every Friday night and since visiting here I know am trying to make my sauce with stewed tomatoes. My sister is visiting and we were looking for a place to eat. Both of us love pizza, so I knew she would enjoy Tony's. We ordered a large Margarita pizza, which was excellent. Beyond expectations for former New Yorkers. I am use to what some places pass as pizza but my sister was recently in NY and she told the owners Mom this one was better. Sooo my friend and I wanted pizza Mezzaluna's is closed on Mondays. So never trying Tonys I figured let's give them a shot. I called At 7:51 for delivery and she told me they aren't doing any more deliveries tonight. So I went online and ordered a light sauce pizza not sure how ther pizza is i specified a bit light on the sauce. We just picked up a large pizza at 8:29 tonight. When I walked in there was a gentleman mopping the floor and asked the employees if my pie was the last one of the night as I was walking out. That was at 8:30. I got home opened the box and let's just say I was under impressed. It looks like I got light cheese. Or and old pie Bc the crust doesn't taste fresh at all. So I called to see if maybe they had made a mistake. Which I understand happens. But I called 3 times before they close at 9:00 and no one answered. We have lived in Flagler Beach for quite a while and usually get take out pizza/wings from one of Tony's competitors. With the COVID-19 crisis, though, we were unhappy with the way delivery was being handled by two of our "usual" pizza/wings go-to companies. These competitors insisted on face to face contact at the door to sign for the charge, their delivery persons were not wearing masks, and one of them even coughed right before they knocked on the door. We decided to give Tony's a try last night and we were blown away. Not only by the quality of the food (as a NY-er I now think Tony's pizza is probably the most NY-like in the area), but by the care and consideration taken during the delivery. Tony allowed us to charge over the phone, tip on that charge, and the driver/delivery person simply knocked on the door and rang the bell to let us know the pizza was at the door. By the time we opened the door, the delivery person was already back a their car (even wearing a mask at such a distance), waving to us, and we never had to get close or touch any common materials aside from the pizza box. We are grateful that Tony's seems to "get it"... some of us are indeed taking the pandemic seriously and appreciate when our concerns are taken into consideration without any "eye-rolling" or carelessness. I read the reviews and decided to try this place out. How it rated so high is beyond me. I went simple and ordered a large pepperoni pizza. The pizza was large alright, not complaining about that. Well, it seems they added a bonus ingredient, extra grease. I get it, it's pizza, but this was extra greasy. So now we have an extra large pepperoni and grease pizza. The crust was NY style, usually not my favorite, but if it's good, I like it. Well, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. It lacked all flavor. Yesterday, I went to Tony's for the first time in a party of eight. Here's what I thought: To start with, the service at this place was great (complete with cute waitress!). The restaurant itself is a cool joint. There's a great mural of New York City covering one wall, and cool Italian-themed paintings and pictures all around. When I said the service was great, I was referring to the friendliness of the staff. The actual time to get the food was long but not unbearable. It probably helped that I had seven other people to talk to in the meantime. As for the food...meh. I ordered a cheese pizza (I actually split a medium with my friend), and it had some issues. First of all, the cheese was pretty much not at all attached to the rest of the pizza. Folding the slice helped, but still when I took a bite I often wound up pulling off far more cheese than I anticipated. The cheese's flavor was fine, but not great, same for the tomato sauce. The crust was better, but still not as good as local competitors Mezzaluna and Terra Nova's. My other friend seemed to enjoy his calzone, and friend #3 had a tasty salad. I actually probably enjoyed my food least out of all of us. If you're looking for good Italian style pizza, I personally would go with the two aforementioned pizzerias first, but Tony's certainly isn't bad as a whole. This place is the worst!!! They appeared to be nice and friendly at first. Then it goes down hill from there. There pizza is over priced, no sauce. It's New York style pizza but it tastes horrible. I ordered a Greek salad a couple of times but it seems like they don't know what comes on it cause it's always missing something. On the menu it clearly states what comes on it. Smh. They sever dry old pizza after 12pm and reheat it up for the customers. They charge a delivery price or make you have a minimum of charge of 15 dollars if you live 2-4 minutes away.....Then expect a tip. The old lady with the New York accent is rude all time.
