Portions were good and felt reasonable for a restaurant this far into the mountains. The restaurant itself has a great old mountain lodge feel, with big windows and beautiful views of the surrounding trees. Service was friendly and attentive as well. One important tip: it fills up fast, so reservations are a must. With so few dining options in the area, I wouldn't count on being able to just walk in during dinner.

Between the four of us, we ordered the Three Rivers Plate, the Smash Burger, and the Falafel Pita Sandwich, and every single meal was a hit. The only thing I wish was different is that the burger didn't come with fries or another side. That said, the burger itself was juicy, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly, so I really can't complain too much. If you're driving out of Sequoia National Park and looking for a great place to eat before heading home, don't skip this spot. It's well worth the wait, and we'd happily stop here again on our next trip.

The chicken and mole was a delightful surprise to see on the menu, and it blew our minds! The thigh, leg, and breast chunk were wonderfully tender but still firm enough to not just become part of the sauce, which was packed with flavor, smokiness, and richness. To start service during our visit was notably slow. While I recognize there was only one bartender on duty, our appetizers (or "tapas") arrived before our drinks, which had yet to be served. Our server, Dakota, took our order but was not seen again at our table; instead, she appeared to be engaged in conversations with other staff members. Another employee delivered our food, and was very kind . He labeled everything he set down and loved the fact he had gloves on. Nice touch Halfway through our meal, there was no follow-up until she came back asking if we needed boxes--at which point we felt somewhat rushed. This was not the quality of service I have come to expect from previous visits that the tall gentleman with glasses who served us on prior occasions provided .
