I wish I could give this place a higher rating but due to the service it fell down a star. We arrived Friday night 8:45pm for their dinner service. We were told there was a 30 minute wait and that wouldn't be a problem so we sat down and waited. (I'd recommend calling ahead for reservations at this restaurant) They didn't seem too busy, I saw a lot of empty tables, but they must have been down staff members. We were waiting outside and checked with the hostess around 3 times just to make sure we didn't miss a text from them since we didn't have reliable signal- at this point it was almost an hour of waiting. We finally sat inside and the hostess noticed us, asked for our names again and said "oh I thought I already sat you, I've crossed your names out" They then proceeded to sit us 10 minutes after that. I almost wish they didn't tell me they forgot to seat us... or at least apologized and thanked us for our patience. But there was no mention of the extended waiting time. We got seated and they took our orders, sadly the dish we wanted to eat was sold out but we were able to pivot. Thankfully the food came out pretty soon after we've ordered since we were both hungry as it's now close to 10pm. Grilled Halloumi Cheese 5/5 - honey, fig jam, balsamic vinegar, pistachio and grilled schiacciata on bread. The sweet and salty profile worked really well and I liked the texture of the cheese Papardelle Wagyu Bolognese 3.5/5 - standard bolognese sauce with peas (not sure if I've ever had it with peas) the pasta was all congealed and bunched up together though. Gyro Wrap 4/5 - large wrap, kind of hard to eat. Gyro seasoned well as well as the fries, it had some sort of garlic seasoning on it. Overall service was okay, we did run out of water and the table next to us offered their bottle of water to us. Glad to see different fine dining options in Three Rivers, next time I'm in the area I'll make sure to call ahead.

I definitely recommend getting a reservation. This place can get packed and I was hangry by the time we were seated. Also, the parking lot is up a steep hill. If you have elderly in your party, drop them off first. The food was good. They had live music, which was really nice.

Who knew we'd find great falafel in Three Rivers, CA? We stopped Tony's on our recent trip to Sequoia National Park. It looked inviting and had excess parking (many places in the area lack ample parking). We were pleasantly surprised to find out there is great Greek restaurant here with excellent food. Their bar serves a good selection wine and beer. We had falafel as an appetizer and it was quite good. My husband had the grilled local pork chop. It was moist and delicious. I had a small Greek salad with gyro meat. The dressing and the sauce for the gyro were homemade and quite tasty. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was light and comfortable. We ate inside but they have a lovely covered patio and on the Friday night we were there they had live music on the patio.

The Greek authenticity here is outstanding! Everything from the flavors, presentation, and atmosphere. We ate in the Santorini room and I could picture myself there. Our server was the best! Attentive, cheerful, knowledgeable, and helpful (absolutely loved her pink hair!) the portions are hearty so consider sharing. We had the Greek Salad with Chicken (10/10), with the freshest grilled chicken breast and such a delightful vinaigrette dressing. Nice chucks of feta, tomatoes, cucumber and Kalamata olives. We also shared the appetizer Meze Platter for Two (10/10) which came with warm pita and included 4 tantalizing dips of hummus, tzatziki, tabbouleh, and and eggplant chunks of salad (melitzanosalata). The textures went well together. We were too full for dessert but they offer baklava, cannoli and cheesecakes. We will be back!

Beautiful place inside and out! We went on Mother's Day and sure enough the place was packed. I had a reservation at 1 and was seated right away, awesome! Our server Katrina recommended the sangria to start things off and a sides of Hummus, both were delicious, some of the best fresh sangria we had had! I ordered the lamb shank as it is rare to find a place the truly knows had to do it right. They nailed it, tender juicy fall of the bone love. Nestled on a bed of mashed potato's with gravy and roasted carrots. If you love lamb this is your gig! We will be back, thanks Katrina for your fun spirit and great service on a very busy day.

We've heard a lot of great things about Tony's Taverna and we were so excited to try it out for ourselves. We made a same-day reservation and showed up for dinner on a Sunday evening. The hostess was charming and kind. We were seated in the patio, the first guest of the evening shift. The waiter did take a little while to greet us. Once greeted, he was kind and professional. We ordered an appetizer and then he never returned until he delivered our entrées. He also didn't return again until we were done with our meal. We wanted water refills and bread refills. We had further questions and he was nowhere to be found. We started with the Grilled Spanish Octopus which was so refreshing. Will definitely order that again. My husband had the Branzino and the rice was overly al dente like way too al dente. We waited for the waiter to come back so we can discuss the rice but again he left us a bit stranded. The food got cold as we waited and waited to flag down the waiter but he was no where to be found. My husband reluctantly ate the cold hard rice. I had the salmon gnocchi. It was good but extremely heavy. The baklava was a nice size and was delicious. Once the waiter arrived with the bill we shared our food experience with him and he said he'd notify the kitchen but that was it. No service. He didn't even try to make it right. Just a bit disappointing. I can only give 3 stars as the service was lacking and the rice was sadly a miss! The bill was $147 and I wished we could say it was worth it.

I'm visiting from La and wanted a nice dinner. I found this place and it was delicious We started with the Spanish octopus and wow never thought octopus would be served with tabouleh but it works and it was cooked perfectly It was my first time trying gnocchi I enjoyed it very much, it was a little heavy for me I didn't get to finish it and I'm a eater salmon was cooked perfectly and seasoned well Service was great got my food quickly great service, shoutout to Derek Seating area was very clean and big with live music, and Greek themed. I would recommend to anyone in the area Wish I had room to try the gyros.

Hidden Gem! You need to stop and enjoy the food and service. You won't be disappointed at all. The food was excellent. Such a beautiful restaurant, loved the atmosphere. Catrina was a wonderful server! We went for a birthday party so we had a large party. The food came hot and perfect. Will definitely be going back.

    Branzino - it was delicious!!

We came here during a trip to Sequoia and it was the best meal we had on the trip. There was a long wait on a weekend even though we got there around 4:30pm and there was a lot of open seating. We also had to wait a while for service and to get our food. Not sure if they were understaffed but the food made up for it and they were also friendly. The branzino was my favorite - it had a smoky flavor to it and no bones. It complimented the rice nicely and we subbed the veggies for fries. The fries were huge and delicious! The place is new/remodeled and had plenty of seating inside. There was also an outdoor covered area with live music playing and sports on the tvs. Would come back on the next trip and make a reservation to hopefully help with the wait or get take out.

Wee come to Three Rivers every year and we could not wait to try Tony's. We met Tony several years back at the market and he told us he wanted to open a restaurant up here. Well he did and it is a beautiful restaurant and the food was like nothing we've ever had before. Starting with the bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar dip, the best combo I've had so far. The warm pita bread and hummus, yum! That hummus was so fresh and tasty. Every appetizer, entree and dessert was phenomenal and we will defintely be back next year and every year after that. Our waitress Trinity was so nice and took great care of us. Tony even came out from being busy in the back to take a pic. So if you're ever in Three Rivers and want a nice sit down delicious Mediterranean/Greek dinner, stop by Tony's Taverna!!!

Tony's Taverna food Is authentic Mediterranean style, Greek to be specific. The restaurant ambience takes me back to the Greek islands we visited years ago. Tony, his wife and daughter are so kind and welcoming as soon as you step in to their place. We visited on a Sunday and the live music was so cool. His daughter is a good musician and if you get lucky she would perform a melody for you to enjoy. Highly recommended, reservations encouraged. Opaa!

It was Thursday evening, and the place was much busier than we expected. There was a pretty long line, and we waited about 20 minutes for our food, but once we took the first bite, we understood why so many people were there. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made to order. This definitely isn't your typical fast food, it feels like real homemade Greek cooking served from a food truck. Between the four of us, we ordered the Three Rivers Plate, the Smash Burger, and the Falafel Pita Sandwich, and every single meal was a hit. The only thing I wish was different is that the burger didn't come with fries or another side. That said, the burger itself was juicy, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly, so I really can't complain too much. If you're driving out of Sequoia National Park and looking for a great place to eat before heading home, don't skip this spot. It's well worth the wait, and we'd happily stop here again on our next trip.

Loved the chimichurri, sharpness of the pickled onions and you can never go wrong with using dutch crunch bread for any sandwich. The loaded gyro fries while looked amazing, were slightly underwhelming also for the $20 price tag. It did have solid flavors but barely any gyro meat unfortunately. Basically was a bunch of fries that also could've been crispier too. Luckily was able to go when there wasn't a big ole line so the wait wasn't too bad for food. I'm not 100% certain it was this or what caused it, but after eating our stomachs were a bit messed up for a bit and pretty sure it was eating here (Luckily nothing too crazy lol). I'd still recommend this spot when in the area as it did seem like a popular spot and better than a lot of other options in town.

So many good things to say about our experience at this wonderful restaurant!!…read more My wife and I were staying in Three Rivers, going to the neighboring National Parks for 4 days. We came across Ol Buckaroo off a recommendation by our AirBnB Host. It was so good we came in TWICE for dinner on different days during our stay. I'll highlight both meals I had. But first, the service was great. Both times we came in the restaurant wasn't terribly busy (around 5 PM on weekdays) and we were seated right away. Keep in mind by 6ish/6:30 loads of customers were coming in. The restaurants is cute and small inside with maybe 10-12 tables, but a ton of outdoor seating with mist-fans. We decided to stay inside both times. Our servers who take care of us on both days were attentive and kind, getting us everything we needed quickly and constantly checking on us. Regarding the food: 1st night I ordered the "Pesto Pasta with chicken"--Spaghetti with a creamy basil pesto sauce. To drink I ordered their house-made soda--soda with Watermelon flavoring (yum). You get a large portion of delicious spaghetti (definitely your money's worth) soaked in pesto sauce. The chicken was tender and moist. It was a perfect, carb-filled meal following a long day of hiking. The soda was also tasty and fresh. I highly recommend this dish to anyone coming in with some big-time hunger. The 2nd visit I ordered the "Buckaroo Burger:"--a durham ranch beef patty, American Cheese, lettuce, tomato and Buckaroo sauce. I had a side of fries and to drink, the "Pims Cup:" Sparkling Water, lemon, cucumber, and fruit garnish. On the menu the drink is described as, "slightly sweet and refreshing with a hint of anise flavor," perfectly described and true. The burger was good (maybe not as good as the Pesto Pasta I had a couple nights before, but good). It was everything a good burger should be! Ol Buckaroo contributed to our amazing stay and vacation and we hope to come back one day. We'll definitely be recommending to any of our friends and family who ever plan to go to Sequoia or Kings Canyon National Parks. What a gem.

Staff were immediately welcoming, personable to talk with, patient, and helpful not just to us but all other guests around! We sat at one of the many outdoor patio tables, which made for exactly the relaxing mood we needed. The complimentary fresh chips and salsa were finished before the waiter returned to take our order. Both are clearly made fresh, with the chips being very visibly cut, fried, and seasoned and the salsa being refreshing and slightly spicy. The wet burrito supreme was filled with tender, juicy beef shreds and topped with a red sauce packed with flavor. The chicken and mole was a delightful surprise to see on the menu, and it blew our minds! The thigh, leg, and breast chunk were wonderfully tender but still firm enough to not just become part of the sauce, which was packed with flavor, smokiness, and richness. The beef flautas were admittedly a little hard and the weakest plate on the table, but it was compensated by the rice and beans being nicely seasoned and cooked to the perfect texture/consistency.

Our orders were incorrect, they were out of basic items like milk, and the French toast tasted like it had been made with toilet water. It was completely inedible.
