This company is absolute trash and I'm trying to leave a review for every site possible. Ordered furniture from a company and they use this company for delivery. They give you a 4 hour window during the work week and no options on the day for the delivery. Then, they give you a 10 minute ETA. So not at home at the time and because they only deliver to my side of town only on Thursday and Friday, have to wait another week to get my furniture. I really hope companies stop using them so they can go out of business. Should not be allowed to operate. I will do my best to bring their stars down. Do not use this company. read more

I'm startled to see the negativity in the reviews, and while I don't condone the experiences fellow yelpers have shared, here's what our recent experience was like: Too Big For My Car was tapped by the furniture retailer for delivery. Honestly, the service was impeccable from the beginning: - Once the items were in the warehouse, we got a scheduling link to an online scheduling system to find a day* that works for us, along with paying the delivery fee. (*As is the nature of the industry, we didn't get to pick a time, and that was a unknown until the day before the delivery.) - The day before the delivery, we got a reminder email/text asking us to confirm, along with a 4 hour delivery window, with a more specific ETA. - The day of, the link showed us a status tracker where we could see helpful information like our stop number, an updated ETA window, and when we were about 45 minutes, we were alerted. At that time, the map showed us the vicinity of where the delivery crew were located, in real-time. And then, came delivery! As is the status quo, it's a lovely spring (read: rainy) day, and we're in the no-shoes-in-house-please camp. While we rummaged to find our shoe covers, the crew (Miguel and Daniel) were so respectful when they arrived! Miguel and Daniel rolled out a carpet with a plastic bottom (red, fitting, huh, after the money just spend on furniture ;) ), and continued laying down carpet on the path they'd walk so they wouldn't soil our carpet our make our floors all wet. Then Miguel and Daniel went back and assembled the furniture in their truck, before bringing it out, carefully. I appreciated that they had a cloth on top so that our pieces wouldn't be getting wet. Miguel and Daniel took the time to carefully set the furniture how we'd envisioned and then, just like that, after taking a few photos to confirm sound delivery and a signature from us indicating our approval, the red carpet was rolled and off they went. Super devastated - have used them and recommended them to my clients for years and years (I'm a realtor). And when I downsized hired them to take a ton of our very nice furniture to a local consignment shop. They destroyed $9800 worth of furniture beyond the point of repair (you can't just repair vintage collectable furniture with spackle) and were unresponsive I had to hound for weeks. They cracked the side and top off the dining table, the Phillip Stark chair looked like it had rolled down the highway. All for their "white glove" option. They told me it looked like that when they picked it up. They told me they couldn't examine the "new in box" dining table so didn't know the condition. So basically a) they consistently called me a liar and b) gave me a check for $500 and said I was lucky to get it. They were doing me a favor. I am beyond furious with this company and will obviously never refer or use again. Buyer beware! And for the record this is the first ever negative review I've left anyone- because I do believe in second changes, and giving the opportunity for a business to make something right - but they absolutely did not fix this for me. I will never do service with this company again. Greg said he was going to call me back about a refund. He lied about that. One of the delivery guys was very rude. Told me the sofa would not fit and refused to try anything to bring it in I had a sofa and an oversized recliner that I had in my apartment. He laughed and said the only thing that will fit is a sectional. Then he proceeded to show me see it won't fit . Going up a stair way no it won't but if it was angled yes it would have. I purchased a sectional from Dania Furniture I got a text from Too big that they would pickup and deliver my couch they came to pick up the sectional, but didn't have my new couch and said we won't deliver until tomorrow between 1:30 and 4:30. The following day at 12:00 the delivery driver calls and says he is at my door!! I had to leave the place I was at and drive home to open the door. When the team arrived they kept rushing me and I barely had time to roll up my rug in the living room. The employee then proceeded to haul the sectional piece up a small flight of stairs but before he did he took off the plastic wrapping and rubbed the expensive leather couch against the carpeted stairs and hit my powder room door damaging it and smushing the couch. He later said you crazy lady I can't bring this couch up here and he kept yelling then called me the B word in Spanish!! This company did an awful job now I am without a couch, because he refused to move it up the stairs with his coworker they sent a team of rookies and the manager will not contact me to repair my door the door frame and wall!!! I have to wait a week for Dania to send me a replacement couch and now find my own moving company. If you don't want to be cussed out at and called a crazy lady in front of your kids then steer clear!! read more

Giving this apathetic lack of customer service company a single star is far too generous, they don't deserve the honor of a star. Ordered a sofa from Dania Furniture for the first time. They use Too Big For My Car as their contracted delivery service. Day of delivery it was raining. I live on the 3rd floor. To my utter shock and dismay, the delivery men carried my brand new light colored sofa up 2 flights of stairs UNCOVERED using their DIRTY bare hands! As if that was not enough, they had the audacity to lean their sweaty bodies on my sofa resting to catch a breath. I understand this is hard work and stairs are no fun but delivery teams are supposed to be experts. The men themselves were kind but it did not negate the damage done. My sofa is damaged from rubbing against the door jam, and stained with their dirty hand prints and more importantly, smells of bad sweaty body odor. When confronted, Paul's immediate response was 'Dania would replace it.' Wrong answer. It's not Dania's fault you all were unprofessional and caused the damage. Jennifer, TBFMC's Operating Manager offered to have the sofa cleaned and refreshened right away, but upon learning Dania was replacing the sofa (a week later) that offer was rescinded immediately. No apology, no accountability, completely apathetic of the waste they created by having to have another sent out because of their careless unprofessionalism. I called and spoke with Branden and he was even worse, just stating they couldn't get a cleaning crew out on one day... well why was it offered when the thought that I was keeping the sofa was there? I ordered a bed from Dania and Too Big For My Car was the white glove service they offered to deliver and assemble the furniture. I thought everything was fine then a week after Too Big For My Car delivered the bed, I noticed a pile of screws under it. I took the mattress off the bed and looked at the assembly instructions. They didn't assemble the bed per the manufacturer assembly instructions and use all the parts. So now I have to reassemble the bed myself so the bedframe is supported sufficiently and doesn't break! Don't waste $150 bucks plus tip on this service. Just get a friend with a truck or rent a U-Haul for a couple hours. If you want it done right, do it yourself. Don't trust these people! read more

Both Grant and Anthony were polite and conscientious in carrying in the set, assembly and ensuring the electronic components worked. Their detailed work, covering areas for protection and professionalism was a welcomed and appreciated. Their delivery employees need to work more on people skills. Today they parked their big truck in the middle of our street, which meant that our neighbors couldn't get in or out. There is no other exit. I pointed this out to one of the delivery persons when he came to our front door. You would expect a polite "sorry, we'll move the truck." Instead, he started ARGUING with me. It got worse from there. Today's scrape doesn't reflect well on Dania, and I will ask them to deliver our future purchases through one of the many other delivery services in the area. As I was writing this review, Jennifer from Too Big For My Car called. She apologized and said that she would call me back when she had a different crew to deliver our furniture (at the end of the episode, the delivery persons took our furniture and drove off). I gave the review one star, as have a number of other reviewers, because there is no lower score. I appreciate Jennifer's call and attitude; however, I didn't expect to have to fight with the delivery people or to have to call the police when the delivery people stole my furniture. read more

We hired TBFMC to move items out of our bedroom to have our carpet replaced and then to move the items back in. (6 items including our bed and frame). The 2 person move out was swift (35") and went by without a hitch. However a different 2 person team showed up to move items back in. They arrived thinking they were moving 1 item, (and were not told that there was one large heavy dresser) and were initially unwilling to do anything. They indicated someone hadn't been truthful about what the move entailed. There were some phone calls made and they ended up doing the move by taking all of the drawers out of the large dresser. When I called TBFMC they apologized but said that they really aren't a moving company and that we should have removed all of the items from all of our dressers (which they never told us to do. Had they, we would not have hired them.) Our bill, (which we were required to prepay to set a date on the calendar) was $750 for perhaps an hour and 10" worth of work. If each of the 4 movers were paid 100$ (for 30" work each) that means the company made 350$. Yes they have expenses, but I doubt the workers made anywhere near 100$ each, so it seems this company makes a darned good profit for not very good service. read more

Horrible experience. Two strong young men carried three pieces of Dania furniture from the street to my house. They put two of them in the exact space they were to be. They refused to put the hutch on the top of its matching base (previously purchased from Dania). The base is 30" high. They carried it in at least 30" off the carpet. But instead of placing it on the base, they lowered it on to the carpet. It would have taken no additional time or effort to set it on the base cabinet. Despite my plea and a call to 'home office', they refused. Stupid. Unacceptable. Now I have to locate two more strong men (or women) to come complete their delivery. REPLY TO WALTER: You are wrong! The pieces are identical in width. The hutch is narrower in depth. I offered to sign a waiver. Your driver still refused. Second reply: I was gracious. They were rude. Today, I had the excellent experience of having had this company deliver and assemble my new dining room table. The two gentlemen, Gabe and Grant, arrived within the 3 hour window I was given, and the app on my phone tracked their delivery route. These guys were terrific, and they were friendly, efficient, and personable. They had my table and chairs brought up into my new place, and assembled, in record time. We have had this company make 2 deliveries. All of the employees were very polite, efficient and respectful of our wishes. They assembled and tested every part that had motion. They did not leave any packing material anywhere when they left. Their text-based notification system not only told us the 3 hour window for delivery, but notified us when they were ten minutes away. I would not hesitate to use them for any delivery/removal needs. BTW, it was 102 degrees during the latest delivery. We live on the 3rd floor. Unlike another review, there were no handprints or sweaty bodies rubbing on the couch. Both workers followed current COVID guidelines during the delivery. read more

Wow. If this is the same company that delivers furniture for stores (in my case) JR Furnitre, BUYER BEWARE! To keep it short: 1st we only received the loveseat. The 2 couches were forgotten. They were courteous and padded the doorway, even - took off the legs to get it through the doorway successfully. 2nd crew a few days later with our 2 couches - no door padding, insisted on not removing the couch legs and insisted they couldn't get it into the front room. Then they tipped it on end, slashed the wrap off with a boxcutter, and let the cushions just dump on my jade plant table, knocking and breaking the pots and plants and now had fresh moist dirt all over our brand new carpet! It gets better. That was 7/9. Store refused to refund our delivery fee of $129 even though we were over $2500 (doesn't matter there). Fast forward to 7/28, when we get a delivery confirmation text. I'm like hm. OK? Confirm. Today 8/1 they show up with 2 other folks' furniture - insisting that it's ours, even though it is pointed out to them that the stop on the boxes says 19 and they are on stop 16. But they insisted, again - so now my neighbor is calling me (at work) about a guy who has been on our front porch ringing our doorbell for at least 30 minutes, and yelling on the phone - before she calls the police. They've come for those other people's furniture, but WE AREN'T HOME! Clearly. The only other thing? They were evidently supposed to come today to move 2nd couch successfully into correct room. 19 days later. I have no more words. read more

Terrible service for the steep price. Movers were unable to move a couch up the stairs even after paying the extra stairs fee. Then they forced me to either sign a waiver that would void my warranty or leave the couch in the middle of my living room. I had to ask some friends to move it upstairs and we did it without issue and with plenty of space between the stair railing and the couch. read more

Above and beyond expectations. Exceptional service and timing, seamless coordination and communication (between multiple parties) topped with mindful, diligent workers. All around solid and keen business - just as their name implies :) I had nearly 3 tons of custom tile delivered to a job site. Something I could have pulled my crew off a job site for, have them clear off the demo trailer, go get the extra work van,hook it all up, hope it all works and waste another day OR MORE on an already backed up work schedule. How about I keep my workers on the tasks I pay them for and try this clever af company instead? The text message notifications were great. The workers were polite to the home owners and didn't hesitate to break the pallets down and unload them right where I needed them. It all happened faster than expected and I was able to focus on the work I needed to - knowing my materials were in good hands. AND - when I got the bill, well I logged into freaking yelp to write a review - something I simply never do. I will most certainly be using their services in the future. So Too Big for My Car delivered a $2,000.00 leather couch to my office. One of the two delivery guys was downright hostile toward me and my staff. He complained from the moment he arrived that my office was inconveniently located. He complained, not once, not twice, but three times. He was asked to move his truck by the facility's director of safety because he was parked in a fire lane and said he wouldn't. Honestly I've never experienced such unprofessional behavior. The couch was also damaged upon arrival and little solution or assistance was offered by the driver. I asked the driver his bosses name and phone number. The driver told me that he didn't know his bosses phone number. Seriously? I've had better service from Comcast and they may be the worst company on the planet. My advice, call any other service. Seriously, you can find someone else who is happy to have you pay them to deliver. read more

Zeek & Jon delivered my furniture and were meticulus in protecting my home & the new furniture, put it exactly how I asked and Zeek even made sure that the power in the nightstand worked (USB) hook ups. I was very pleased that they could accommodate next day delivery in a timeframe that worked for our schedule. Later that day we found another piece of furniture in Gresham; they modified our order for two stops for a very reasonable rate.
