I got mani pedi done a few days ago and realized that the gel polish on my toes wasn't cured properly. Peeling off is one thing but realizing it isn't cured properly is another. They need to know the health complications it can cause. Sadly, I chose the pedicure she convinced me to which was the most expensive one because I trusted her and on top of that I tipped $10. 0/5 An utter disgrace. They have zero regard for your time, money, or basic hygiene. My pedicure looks like a two-week-old disaster--oily globs and gel residue caked on my feet, ruining my sandals. The tech used her own jagged&sharp nails to scrape off polish, stabbing my cuticles until they bled. I'm currently sitting in a warm bath to ease the pain. Then, when she would make mistakes on the gel coating, she would smear it off with a grimy towel. Politely, I asked if she could fix the uneven mess (with no other clients waiting), earned me a nasty attitude. She snapped saying, "I'll have to hold my breath doing your nails. If you still don't like them after, we're open 7 days a week--maybe we'll see you then." Beyond rude. My feet are a wreck, my cuticles are raw, and I've never been so insulted. Had a little extra time before a meeting in the area, so I was hoping to find a nail salon in this shopping center. When I found this one, I was happy because the location was perfect, and they had time for a pedicure. It's a nice-looking establishment, very roomy and with massage chairs on both sides of the room. My first clue about things not being too great was when the employee put a towel on my lap that had nail polish stains on it. Wouldn't you think someone would switch it out for a clean towel, at least to make a good first impression? As I soaked my feet in the warm water, I figured I'd come on to Yelp to see what the other Yelpers thought of this place. I got a little worried when I saw so many one-star reviews. My experience wasn't THAT bad, but given a choice, I wouldn't be returning to this location. The employees talk incessantly with each other in Vietnamese and laugh constantly. I get that it's pretty typical in a nail salon for that to happen (cue Anjelah Johnson video), but in my experience, the good nail salons focus on the customer in front of them, and only talk to other employees on a minimal basis, not hold full-length conversations with each other. And then their pedicures are pretty pricey. $30 for just a basic pedicure? Sheesh. My nail girl was okay, though later on she started complaining to another employee about doing the nails for another customer there (I asked her privately what she was saying, because I could tell from her body language that she was really unhappy about another customer). My toes look decent, but for the price and the lack of good customer service, I'll pass. read more

Took my lady here for a manicure/pedicure and was expecting high expectations! This nail salon is in a great location.... Next to A Starbucks, Bel Air, UPS, Thai princess, and jimboys! When you walk in, it's very luxurious and welcoming.... They have many pedicure chairs (not sure what the proper term is) and many manicure stations!! Also, this nail salon was voted best in Sacramento but KCRA 3.... Or that's what their sign states...: As always, the owners are Vietnamese and usually they speak Viet so customers who don't speak Viet won't understand what they are saying. (I was told that sometimes they talk smack about customers which isn't cool!) but if you know Viet, your good! The employees do a solid job on nails! BUT here's why I mark 2 stars off... My lady got gel nails with French tip and she was charged $35... But then we were told by a regular customer that she gets the same thing but for $30! I feel that's shady.... I went to visit the nail shop because I needed a fill. I am a black woman, I walked in behind a group of black women who were there for separate services. When I walked in there behind them, the shop addressed the group of women. The women then sat down and I was standing at the door for about five minutes. No one addressed me so I decided to acknowledge the first lady I saw. She scoffed me off and told me to sit down and wait. I waited for 30 minutes as I watched 10 different women walk in an out during this time period. They told the women who walked in that they were unavailable because they were busy. Then 30 minutes later after I had been sitting there they walked up to me and told me they could not take me. No one attempted to reschedule a time that could fit my availability. They coldly barely apologized. I believe it's because I'm a young black woman, or at least I look a lot younger than I am. This was my first experience here, and my last. Very disappointing. I will never waste my time with these people again! I don't care who gave them a great rating. read more
