2017 ram 1500 It needed a exhaust manifold gasket. They said it would be $100 to make sure. The believed it needed lifters. The following day they said it would be another $100 to know for sure what is wrong with it. They found out it did need a exhaust manifold gasket. The head mechanic said that it would be $250 to replace. The following day I got a call from another mechanic saying it would be $414.66. I will be surprised if you don't get ripped off if you take your vehicle there. read more

I took my car in for a repair and they fixed it for me for free! Ron also gave me an estimate for a pretty big repair on another car and it was the cheapest quote I got. They are very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. Before I brought my car here, I took it to the other shop in Helendale. The employee and the manager gave me 2 different prices for something Ron offered to fix for free. The other shop is a total rip off and dishonest. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VINTAGE CARS HERE!!! They do not know what they're doing. Dropped off our old car just to have them take it apart and not be able to put it back together. Ripped out our electrical work to see how it was put together to fix a different car in their lot. Did not call and ask permission to do so, which is illegal. We had the car towed to their yard because we didn't feel comfortable driving it long distance with no front windshield. But it ran, we drove the car onto the tow truck. My car was running when dropped it off and it wouldn't even start when they asked me to come pick it up. Oh and did I mention they lost the key? Yeah, not sure how that happened but it did. They also asked for a $5,000 advancement in payment. Not sure of any body shop that asks for money in advance, most places you pay as you go or pay at pick up. We have a great upholstery shop we use, but the owner told us that we would have to use his guy if we decided to have him work on our car. Never asked to set up a payment plan because simply we were not planning on having them work on our car because all the issues we were having with this yard already. I would never recommend anyone here, not even my worst enemy. Terrible customer service and illegal work. Please, I'm warning you, if you love your car do not take it here! Wish I could give negative stars, not sure how they've got good reviews because I know others that have issues here too. read more

I have a golf cart that had a broken turn signal indicator lever. I tried to install, but the wire colors didn't match. So I took the cart to Top Dog (MISTAKE) I was told that the entire cart had to be wired. At that point I said how much would it be. They said $ 250.00. I said to get the 2006 Club Car in great condition, OK. That was when the trouble started. They had the cart for 8 days, as I wanted to start playing golf, I checked on the cart 2 times, and found it apart, and NO ONE WAS WORKING ON IT. On the 8th day I said that I needed the cart back. I was told that it was done, but they needed a brake light switch ( on order) I Was told when delivered, that it would only take 15 to 45 minutes to finish. They would pickup the cart, and bring it back the same day. I asked him to return the cart while waiting on the part, they said it would be 4 or 5 days....Had to pay full price at that point, or they would not release the cart (done). Start of the LOCKDOWN... Said they could NOT work on golf carts, as they were not essential. Several weeks later I received a call from Top Dog saying that they could finally finish the cart, and would pickup in the afternoon, about 1:00. Showed up about 2:30. Had the cart the rest of the day and most of the next. I insisted that they finish, and return the cart. Well it came back. Break lights are great. Turn signals are so dim that they can hardly be seen in the day time. The right front signal doesn't work at all. I have made 2 phone calls to them, with NO RETURNS. The way that I have been treated, I am shocked thy asked for a review. Once they have your money, they done care, about the Customer Service. DON'T USE TOP DOG FOR ANYTHING !!! read more

March 16th, vehicle dropped off.... was told the transmission body valve was bad. $2300 to fix. Went ahead and had them swap out the motor for another also. $2600 June 19th, yes three months later, picked vehicle up. Had to take to Infiniti for a reprogramming of transmission body valve. $350. Didn't fix the car. June 25th dropped vehicle back off at top dog. July 10th was told it is my transmission. $1900 to fix. July 31st. Picked vehicle up. Pieces were missing every time the vehicle was picked up I had to call them to retrieve what I could. So in the end my car is still not running right I gave top dog just under $12,000. They do offer 25,000 mile or 1 yr warranty but im afraid to even let them touch my vehicle again. The people are nice enough but I think this is a shop more for off road vehicles, motorcycles, etc. The mechanics are very young and forgetful. Missing parts, bolts and any kind of covers on vehicle do not expect them back. All in all very sad outcome I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Breanna is awesome she's the receptionist nothing but good things to say about her. She can only work with what she is given. But I believe her talents would be put to far better use anywhere else. They need to stick with what they actually are able to and have the know how to fix. read more

Took my Cam Am to have it upgraded. Had to take it back twice. Second time it still want running right. I was told it was fine. A employee said maybe a front end alignment would help. They could do it there. Took it to a place in Hesperia and he found loose bolts and tightened them. That is all he did there. Well it still pulls to one side so called Topdog and was told they would not warranty their work because i went and had the bolts tightened. We paid TopDog around 700.00 for the work. He also stated he called me to check how CamAm was working, this is not true he never called me. He then brought up an incident that I wasn't happy with their work before on an ATV I had checked out by them around 2016. Yes I wasn't happy then but thought I would try them again. I was told it would be 3500.00 to fix my Polaris ATV, couldn't afford that. Took it elsewhere and it cost $100.00 to have it repaired this was back around 2016.
