I had been a loyal customer at Complete Dog for a while and always trusted them with my dog. The day after her appointment, I noticed a cut and called the groomer right away to ask what happened. They denied any responsibility and showed no concern. I took her to the vet, and when they saw the cut, they told us to bring her in almost immediately because they were worried it could be infected. After examining her, they said it likely could've happened at the groomer. The owner refunded the vet bill--but called it a "courtesy" and still denied anything happened under their care. They also refused to refund the grooming, saying they should still be paid because the haircut was "completed." My dog was hurt, and all they seemed to care about was getting paid. The way I was treated as a customer was cold, rude, and completely unprofessional. This was an incredibly upsetting experience, and I would never want another pet owner or pet to go through what we did. Please think twice before taking your dog to Complete Dog.

When I arrived, the receptionist greeted her as much as me. She was so warm and inviting that my dog (who had just been shivering scared in the car just minutes prior) actually started to walk in the back on her own, almost. Less than two hours later, they called and said she was ready. When I picked her up she didn't seem traumatized. She was happy, fluffy and trimmed where I mostly wanted- her ears and feet. I'm fact, I was surprised how small her feet are without all the extra hair. Also, it was $70! She's about 55- 60lbs. A note on the door stated that if you pick up dog more than an hour after getting the call that your dog is ready, you will be charged $20 per additional hour. I imagine that could be issue with people working or trying to get errands or kids managed. I didn't think to ask the name of her groomer. I did notice that there were 4 grooming stations. They commented that today was a slow day but I imagine it can get pretty loud and busy.

When she was returned to me, she was wheezing, struggling to breathe, and unable to open her right eye. I was in disbelief. After a few hours of trying to calm her down, I rushed her to the emergency veterinarian. The emergency vet discovered that Karmen had a traumatic corneal ulcer in her eye--an injury that was not there before her grooming appointment. Between the emergency visit, diagnostics, medications, and treatment, I have already spent nearly $700 trying to help my dog recover. When I contacted the groomer and asked if anything unusual had happened while Karmen was in their care, nobody could give me an explanation. Nobody accepted responsibility. Nobody seemed concerned that a dog who arrived healthy left with breathing issues and an eye injury serious enough to require emergency veterinary care. What was even more frustrating was the complete lack of urgency afterward. I was told someone would contact me on Tuesday. Tuesday came and went. No call. No follow-up. No concern. In fact, I didn't hear from anyone until the following Tuesday--a full week later. By that point, I had been left to deal with the emotional stress, veterinary appointments, and financial burden entirely on my own. Accidents can happen. What I cannot accept is the lack of accountability, transparency, and basic compassion afterward. If your pet is injured while in someone's care, the very least you should expect is honesty and timely communication. My dog went in healthy and came home injured. Those are the facts. Based on my experience, I would never trust this business with Karmen again, and I feel other pet owners deserve to know what happened before deciding whether to leave their animals here.
