I used to come here before because I knew one of the workers and she was so nice. I took a break for a year or two but decided I should treat myself and was in need of a pedicure. I decided to go back and they were able to take 2 walk ins for pedicure we got the Deluxe pedicure 2. It was very basic and seemed simplified and rushed. I started to get cracky feet which is why I went decided to go in the first place and the deluxe pedicure 2 says it specializes in cracked heels. When you see my feet it doesn't look cracked you can definitely feel it. The specialist asked if I wanted to shave my feet and I said yes (I feel like that's the biggest step to help with "callus and cracked heels") she proceeded to do so but very minor maybe a few strokes on each foot. Ice seen before where they would literally grate the foot to get off all the calluses and cracks (I guess it's different now). She then painted my nails 2 coats but you could still see streaks and uneven color so I asked her to do another. Once that was done she seemed to rush me when no one was waiting and moved me to the fan on the side. She then gave me slippers and said I should be good to go to the car. I was walking very carefully and watched my step. When I got home I looked down and 2 toes were messed up. If they weren't dry why would she tell me I could go (we didn't rush her at all). After all the treatment and lotion I did have softer feet but the 3rd day I could feel the cracks coming back.

Ivy did my gel polish manicure & upgraded pedicure. She did exactly what I requested. I need my Mani color done thick because I tend to scratch my skin & break it. Most nail technicians don't like or understand what I want done so they don't do a good job at that. She also cut down my nails & shaped it like I wanted. Nowadays "they" get attitudes if you want an oval shape or a cut down or they charge extra. She did that with no problems. I wish nail salons in Vegas would be more accommodating like she was. I also have ingrown toenails in both of my hallux or big toes. She fixed both of those problems. It takes a good technician to do this properly & not over-cut it. I dropped by this place a while ago. Hmm, my photo says July 2020. Wow has it been a while! I happened to be in the Kaimuki area after a Massage Envy appointment. Decided to go on a "treat yoself" adventure. And what does a girl need to feel like a pampered princess?!?! Did you answer "NAILS!!!"? Cause yes, that's the correct answer. Of course I pulled up the trusted Yelp app to see nail salons nearby. It directed me to Top Nails by Ana. The reviews were raving and the pictures did not lie, very nice work. I knew it was last minute so I called to ask about the walk in wait time, I was told to head in. When I got there, I was handed a form to fill out about COVID-19 screening questions and had my temperature checked. I walked over from a few blocks away while the sun was right above, so I was super duper hot. I was offered water and given paper towels to blot off my sweat. Very caring and thoughtful. After filling out my form. I was helped right away. I think the tech's name was Kelly. She was very sweet and gentle with my manicure. I opted for the mani pedi set deal where you chose one set in gel and the other in polish. I liked that each station was separated with clear safety barriers. They also had multiple big televisions to watch while getting my nails done. My manicure was in gel and my pedicure was in polish. Diana then helped me with my pedicure. I really liked that the foot soaking tubs were lined with plastic to make it more sanitary between clients. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I was not familiar with the Kaimuki area and asked about different places to eat. She suggested a lot of different places and even the directions to get there. I felt a very kind and genuine vibe from her. I did not plan on getting a mani pedi so I wore sandals that had straps around the nail areas. Diana saw this and offered me some "one time use" pedi slippers and I said yes. They did the job of letting my nails dry more before I put my sandals back on. She even offered me a bag to put my sandals in. Thank you Diana! I really appreciate your kindness :) My manicure lasted a few weeks until it started chipping at the edges. Then I buffed it off myself. But here's a secret okay... Don't tell anybody. You promise? Okay... my pedicure is still going strong on the nails of my big toes, LOL and like half grown out... it's like 3-4 months after? LOL.... shhhhh. Maybe it's that time again for a new mani pedi? *deep in thought emoji* LOL. While I was there, the salon was pretty busy so I think making appointments ahead would be the best way to go. Or call ahead if you're thinking about walking in. I'm not too sure about the COVID-19 procedures now as it's been a while since I went, so double check with the salon. This was a really nice experience and I'm glad my fellow Yelpers helped point me in the right direction for my mani pedi needs :)

I started coming here about four years ago every time I went to Hawaii my husband thought they did an amazing job so he always wanted me to go back. We visit Hawaii maybe 1 to 2 times a year the first couple times was great. Anna did my nails she was very nice professional And was pleasant to work with my current visit went absolutely terrible. Anna wasn't there. So this other lady did my nails she did not know how to draw a flower. Then another lady walked up, not knowing it was the lady who was going to do my pedicure, but she came up and touched my nail and ruined it so it took longer because it needed to be fixed, and then the lady Who did my feet didn't even give me the wax that I paid for.. I brought my mother-in-law here last time and it cost $140 this time it was just me getting a pedicure and a full set and they charged me $160 like that's pretty expensive! Especially knowing that she couldn't draw a flower, but I still got charged? So disappointing. They couldn't even try and copy photo of what I wanted for my nails.

Stopped by this place again before I left for college and they KILLED IT!!!! I wanted an ombré on my natural nails but realized that it would be easiest to do acrylic to get that blended effect so I chose to do acrylic on my natural nail. Diana helped me remove the nail polish and gave me lots of information on acrylics and how I can maintain it in college if I don't wanna go to a salon to take it off. They even gave me a free filer and some glue to maintain it in college if it starts growing out! Ana did my acrylics on my natural nail and she was so sweet!! HER SKILLS ARE INCREDIBLE!!!! I love my nails and I can't wait till I can come back and go back to this place. This is for sure my go to nail place in Kaimuki!! Workers are super friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The nail salon is really clean too. Parking is convenient because there is a huge parking lot outside. I paid $1.50 for staying around one hour and 15 minutes.

so sad leaving my previous appointment i used to tell everyone to go here because it was quick, great and affordable. My last appointment took 3 hours. I've never spent more than 110 with tip here and this time my total without tip was 141. i was never told pricing of anything going into it either but just a surprise at the end. Sad to say but i will not be returning. My nails didn't come out how i wished either. read more

This nail shop is terrible. I think owner of this shop did my nail but she was busy taking phone call while doing my nail and no focus!!! She should not take the phone while doing client time. Then she cut my skin!!! No apologies!!!! It's very hurt my finger and bleeding!!! Can you believe no apologies for this ??? read more

My mom and I went to get ourself pampered by having a manicure and pedicure done. The owner and staff are very nice and friendly. The salon is clean and the best thing is the prices are very reasonable compared to other nail salons I've been to. For a gel mani and a nice pedi with a mini massage it was only $50.00! They make sure you are comfortable and happy with the results. They were busy when we got there but greeted us right away. We got a great vibe from the start! My mom and I will be going back for sure! I highly recommend this nail salon! read more

I found this salon via Frolic and I loved my experience here. Everyone was so attentive to our needs and much cleaner than other more highly rated salons around the area. I left with these beautiful ombré nails. I didn't catch the name of my artist but she asked me at every step of the creation whether it was meeting my expectation so I really appreciated the partnership in this. read more

Treated my Mom to a manicure/pedicure, so I decided to get a treatment, as well! Haven't had either in a couple of decades (since my California days), so it was a real treat. First off, prices in Honolulu are WAY higher than the old days!! (Back then, I could get a mani/pedi for 20-bucks; now it's $70! That seems to be the going price from my due diligence! Anyway, it was a treat for my Mom, so money was not a concern. The gal who worked on my treatment was Tran. Even though I had a hard time hearing her, she made the experience a very pleasant one. And what a terrific job!! More than 3 weeks later, the double-coating she used on my nails still looks pretty darn good--and I haven't bitten my nails once since (a horrible habit I've had since childhood)! And what a relaxing massage on my arms and legs! I'm gonna have to say this was probably my best manicure/pedicure treatment I've ever had! I'm looking forward to one more time at Ana's before I head back to the mainland...!! Mahalo!! read more

Monica, was by far the BEST nail tech I have ever had in my entire life. She took her time and did not rush me. Did a pedicure/manicure and she wipes every little smudge. I needed a last minute nail appointment, and Top Nail was able to help us out! I called at 2pm the prior day and got a booking for 9am the next day. i believe I was helped by Diana, a young woman who was so sweet and helpful! She was chatty, but not to any extent where it'd be irritating. I loved talking to her and she helped me figure out what I wanted. I also really appreciate how she was upfront about her not being as skillful to doing pressed flowers, and how the boss was the pro at it. I got this super pretty peachy gel polish (no manicure) with chrome on two fingers of each hand. The base fee is $25 for gel polish, and getting 2 fingers of chrome or any design in general is $5. My nail tech just gave me all 4 fingers for $5, and was very kind! This was my first time doing gel here in Hawaii and I was so happy with how it all turned out, and the stellar service. read more

She was so sweet and have me advice on functioning with nails haha Also told me to come back anytime if I have any issues and she will fix me right up! I barely get a mani/ pedi & getting it at this place was really top-notch. They have a covid form to fill out that took like a min. I brought my mom and sisters to get gel on natural nails and it came out great! Even my niece came and they simply polished her nails for about $20. Got a good leg/ foot massage added for $5 w/ a mango scrub & the results were great. read more

Nail technician are ok. Never complain about it when I had few times experience. But waxing! She talking Vietnamese and everyone laughing. I feel embarrassed. And I thought she is professional. She told me over 30 years waxing and doing nails. But last time when she wax my under arm and bikini skin got hurt and I had rash on my skin. Took almost 1 week to heal. And my sensitivity area. I had really hard time. I was crying so bad. My boyfriend local. He didn't want to go there show her. I was hoping next time she will take me with discount service whatever but never happened. I never complain. But this time had to tell. read more

Found this place at the last minute and they were able to take Mom and I for pedicure and long acrylic fill with gel polish. Diana answered the phone and was very professional, friendly and accommodating. She handled my senior mom with care and consideration. Sofia did my long acrylic fill with gel polish. Went in for a spa pedicure for my daughter and I. First time here, and such a nice, relaxing experience! Monica and May did our nails, and they were both so nice! Monica spoke more English, so she talked with me more - she's so genuinely friendly! We didn't feel rushed at all, and there was no attempt to upsell us! Their massage chairs recline, and they have a large flatscreen, which my daughter enjoyed watching the whole time:) It was such a wonderful experience and so different from experiences at other nail salons! Oh yeah, and we both were very happy with how our nails turned out! We definitely plan on coming back! read more

This is a hidden GEM! I booked an appointment about an hour in advance, and it was a good thing because when I got there they were busy and had to ask a couple walk-ins to wait or come back. I wish I got the name of my technician, she was so thorough and truly gave me the best mani/pedi I've ever had! Only $40 I usually only treat myself on special occasions but this place makes it worth it to schedule regular nail care. Great location, plenty parking and clean, too. Update: I GOT ENGAGED! And knew immediately I could trust Top Nail by Ana to make my nails beautiful to match my new ring!! They were so fast a just LOOK how pretty!! read more

Always love coming to Ana for my eyebrow wax. Recently i came here for a pedicure and it was reasonable and the ladies took care. They even have a callus removal procedure where they put this lotion on your feet and use a cheese grater looking thing to remove the callus. A but intimidating at first,but your feet look good after all is done. The place is pretty clean and the massage chairs make you feel at ease. read more

This was my first time getting my nails professional done in years and I have to say, I made a great choice by choosing Top Nails as my first nail salon experience in Hawaii. They were easy to find, wonderful customer service, I didn't feel judged, and the prices are very reasonable. I have to give credit where credit is due, Ana killed it! Friendly group of ladies, with the skill to go around. Super pleased to have found this spot! I drive by it almost daily, but didn't notice it until my search for a nail salon. I noticed the good reviews and gave it a go. I'm so happy I did! I never get my nails done because I have had bad luck in the past with poor jobs and overpriced services, but I'm very satisfied w this salon and will be bringing all my friends! $55 for a gel manicure and regular polish pedicure is a great deal for the quality of work. Highly recommend! read more

Got a manicure for the first time ever and I'm super satisfied with my experience! I got the Spa Manicure and had Kelly and she was very soft spoken and gentle with my nails. I loved the brief massage she gave me as well, perfect firmness but she wasn't rough with me. Just what I needed. The overall experience was amazing I think, the only reason I would give it a 4Star is because she didn't fully go to the edge of my nail and the coat for my pinky was a little uneven. Overall loved my first time and will come back for special occasions! read more

these ladies ROCK! i have come to get a mani pedi here a handful of times now, and i can confidently say that their gel polish manicure lasts longer than any nail salon i've ever been to (and i've been to a lot!). their salon is nothing fancy, but it's clean, they have nice chairs and always a good movie on the tv. i've never been disappointed by any of the manicurists here, and their attention to detail and their expertise always stands out. today, kelly helped me pick the perfect color after what must have been 15 minutes of me being indecisive (i wanted to try something fun and new but just couldn't figure out what). she was patient with me when i decided i wanted a full pedicure today and not just a polish change and she helped make my worn out feet (and frankly ugly) toes look the best they could. also, best calf massage ever!!! she was so sweet and asked me about my family and life, but didn't talk too much to where i couldn't relax. she took time and care to cut, file, and shape each of my nails and definitely didn't seem like she was rushing through just to get it over with. this is the only spot i come to now!!! give these lovely ladies some business you won't regret it :)) read more

Despite the horrid parking lot I was pleasantly surprised. I went here since my usual Smileys was closed and really enjoyed it even though it cost $3.00 more for a pedicure. Not a lot of chairs but they do a really good job. They don't turn and burn you like smileys does. My new favorite place! :) read more

I'm officially a "Top Nails" by April groupie! Yes I know it's by Ana in the name But every time I've been there so far I've seen April. In fact I won't see anybody but April. She is absolutely amazing! My first experience at top nails was pretty forgettable. You know the usual stuff, massage, lotion, scrub, cute nails leaving. But after one time with April I'm officially a HUGE fan. I initially walked in to redo my color, which chipped. I was going to get a full manicure, but she recommended I just change the color. Love the honesty! When I returned for my next visit about three weeks later, I made sure to ask for her again just based off of her honesty. She not only did a great job on my feet she also did amazing work on my hands. She asked me if I wanted a nail design and I replied sure! She blew me away with a geometric design. So when I came back again, I left the designing up to her. And she blew me away with this ombre floral "bling" nail design! For some people it's a bit much but for me I absolutely love it. I sit at my desk and type every day and seeing them brings a smile to my face and encourages me to type faster. It addition to doing the nail design on my thumbs and bring fingers she also added a little sparkle knew the cuticle of each nail. I loved the extra touch SO much I deserved a Yelp post! I called beforehand to ask for their prices and let them know I would come in. I showed up about 10 mins later since I live down the street, they told me they couldn't take me in right now and to make an appt for later, so I did for 4 pm. Once I came back they took care of me, place is not very welcoming either. The lady who did my fill did an okay job the only issue was that I paid for GEL like I do every single place I go to, and literally by the end of the night I noticed my gel was already coming off. I've never had this issue before. Won't be returning here again. read more

With so many choices where to get acrylic nails done... I stick with Top Nails by Ana because they get the two most important things right every time: (1) the acrylic is thin and even--this takes real skill, which both Ana and Sophia have, (2) the acrylic lasts for a good long time--which Ana told me is about the high quality products they use. Usually I call for an appointment, but sometimes I role the dice and just drop in. I love the pedicures too... a spa-like hour when I have the time, and when I am busy I just ask for a $10 polish change. Top nails is quite a great nail spa. I have been going there for years. However lately the prices are higher and I find the value for what you pay is missing. My last pedi was mediocre . There are other nail salons who offer specials with hot stone massage moisturizing mask and callus treatment for as much as $40. They give you a bottled water to enjoy during your pedi . One notable thing about top nails is they maintain good sanitation standards and are organized . read more

I just did a walk-in today and I am so happy that I did. I had been to two different nail spas before finding Top Nails. Let me just say now, the quality was worth every cent. I went in to do a gel nail with extension. I was greeted immediately when I came in. The place is nice, quaint, and peaceful. They had a movie on. The spa was a little busy when I went in so I waited a little. As I waited, I noticed that the workers worked diligently and even made conversation with their customers. This nail shop is by my house, and I go there whenever I need a last minute pedi or mani. I love getting pedicures here; they always do a good job in exfoliating and making sure that all the dead skin is gone. I have gotten a few gel manicures here, but I don't think they're particularly great nor bad. They are usually very welcoming for walk-ins, but sometimes I call ahead to make sure that they can take me in last minute. They do have protective separates since covid, and I've seen them clean the chair after each client. Overall I would come back here again, especially for the pedicures, but they're nothing special. read more

I paid $75 for my manicure ($25 manicure, $45 gel french tip, $5 nail fix) and my pedicure was $37 for a basic. The new salon is brand new and everything is very clean. He was very quick and efficient with putting on an acrylic tip onto my thumb that was shorter than the rest of my nails. He was careful to not have the gel touch my skin and seemed to be the go-to for frenchies. The girl working the front desk didn't seem to be in a good mood. I don't usually mind but she was very short with her responses and not particularly nice or helpful when I asked a few questions regarding the pricing and point system. There is plenty of street parking available and it was easy to find. They're very popular so expect to be a slight wait and it's definitely a more sterile and clinically run salon than a welcoming one. The prices of the services was also available when you make your appointment. We arrived a little before 5pm and had to wait awhile before a parking spot opened up in the lot. My daughter showed her technician the design and she was quoted an additional amount of $46. The technician then went to work and when it was time to do the design, there was a lot of back and forth as the technician had not done a sunrise shell design before. My daughter wanted it just right and asked her to redo it several times. I was surprised her technician didn't take offense, but also happy that my daughter was making sure she was getting what she wanted. The technician was great and stayed patient as she tried to replicate the design as best as she could. Finally, after what seemed like the fifth time, my daughter gave a big smile of approval. Thank goodness! | was getting hungry! My daughter loves her nails and I also had a great experience with my pedicure.

Taking a leisurely stroll around Maunakea Marketplace (because I had free street parking on a Sunday) my friend and I paused in front of Instyle Hair & Nails because the place didn't look busy and I had some time. There were a couple of staff sitting outside, taking a break, so, I approached slowly and said, "Pedicure?" I was cheerfully greeted and shown to a massage chair. The nice gal, Deb, placed a new plastic liner in the basin and started the warm water. She asked if it was too hot and adjusted the temperature. She started to help me (telling me the difference in price between regular polish for $30 and gel polish which lasts longer for $45), but another customer asked for her, so she switched me off to someone else. It's okay because the new gal (didn't get her name) was very careful and thorough. She took her time and did a good job! I sat for a couple of hours because I haven't paid attention to my feet for months. Haha! (I'm kind of a last minute, busy person and will get moving if I can't stand it anymore.) Anyway, here are my observations: Greeting regular customers is a good sign! The four female workers were cheerful and kind to everyone, especially kupuna! The hair stylist asked (in a nice tone of voice) how a certain customer wanted her hair cut and told her that next time - don't cut your hair yourself because you can't see behind your head (she cut her hair to her scalp!). The hairstylist explained politely to the customer about her unique needs and showed her options on how to style her own hair! That's good service! Another example: A little girl came in with her mom. The staff treated them really well. The mom asked for gel polish for the daughter and the staff said they cannot do it because it might burn her daughter's young skin - plus, her fingers and nails are still growing, so, it's not a good idea to put strong chemicals on the area. Wow! That's being responsible and honest! I think I spent over two hours here because the technician paid attention to my dry cuticles, cracked nail, and other issues. She verified the color of gel polish two times before application. Thank you! I was just going to give four stars, but after hours of hard work, the worker still gave me a mini leg/foot massage and brief hot towel to wipe off excess lotion on my legs! She didn't use pumice stone on me (maybe I didn't need it), but she did repeat the acetone/cotton/foil treatment to the stubborn nails several times - instead of using the electric file technique. I appreciate the gentle approach and will most likely return on a future Sunday!

They did a great job on my daughter's hair first, cutting off all her dead ends and "thinning" out her hair since she has so much of it. They then did the same for me, mine was much shorter though. Since we both have very wavy hair, they took the time to straighten our hair to make sure it was even which took a lot of time for them.
