Granted, at the time, I thought he was awesome and generous for letting me get a car given my circumstances. I now realize that he knowingly let a minor sign an unenforceable contract, taking advantage of the fact that at the time I had no knowledge of how loans or interest rates work. Yesterday I was at a Wendy's drive through with my sleeping one year old in the back, when all of a sudden my car completely died out of nowhere on me. I couldn't get it to start and I was holding up the line. Needless to say I was very stressed out. When all of a sudden a good samaritan came to my rescue and saved my day with a battery jump box! They also took forever to get things going w the paperwork because the salesman didn't know how to fill out the paperwork and the owner was at the chiropractor. We were actually referred to this place by another Auto Dealer and didn't really expect too much. Cons: This location is very small however he does have a decent selection. The owner (Jason) is also the only person running this establishment so when they get busy you kind of have to wait for your turn to talk about a vehicle. However other than these two items everything else is great. Pros: Jason was very friendly and knowledgeable on each of his vehicle and what he lacks in staff members he makes up in Customer Service. My wife and I were looking for a very specific type of vehicle which made our search even that more difficult. We also don't have the best credit in the world so we knew it would an up hill battle. I am the former owner of the 2001 VW stated in the longest review here by my husband. I am so happy that I finally got rid of that car and all the problems that came with it. I just wanted to quickly add how mad Jason got when my husband posted the review and called me asking me take it off or he would not fix my car. I finally decided to go to Capital VW and traded in my car (which may I add, constantly tried to die on me on the freeway) for a new vehicle. One I don't have to worry about in any way. They ended up printing out the CARFAX of the vehicle that Jason sold me. It had 5 owners and 1 accident. Jason had shown me the CARFAX to the wrong car. Had a very disappointing experience. We were very interested in a couple of cars and had cash ready to buy. We were there at 10:20 and place says its open but no one is there. We call the number on the window he says to come back in 40 min. We leave and come back an hour later. Still no one there. Call again says he is 15 min away. Shows up 30 minutes later. Says Sundays is just by appointment but will help us out. He shows us a car starts off being nice and tells us it's issues. Tells us he has another car he can go get and be back in 4 min. First he asks if we are serious about buying. Uh, should we really answer that? We've only been waiting for him for half an hour! 15 min later he comes back with a "very clean car" that he just worked on. Car is not in excellent condition but we are still interested. We check the oil and it's low. We swipe a hand under the engine and get good amount of fresh oil. We let him know the car is leaking and low on oil. He starts twitching and becomes defensive and very unprofessional. He tells us oil can sit under an engine for a long time. It can, but not fresh oil. He gets frustrated and starts to tell us how he went out of his way to get the car for us. At that point he just lost us. He had a condescending tone and was clearly frustrated. We felt like he categorized us and never showed respect and therefore never gave his business a chance. Jason is the worst used car salesman we've ever met. read more

Well I have read through the 1 star reviews and felt the need to share my experience with Top Notch Sales. I bought a 2004 Toyota Prius with 120K miles on it. I took it to the Toyota dealership for a complete inspection before I bought it. It is performing exceptionally, and I got a great price on it; better than I could find at any other dealer (including small dealers). Jason is a young guy running his own shop. The place can't be more than 700 sq ft and 15 cars at a time. There is no way a reasonably intelligent adult would expect OEM level service from this shop. It is what it is, and that isn't bad or illegal. If you can't deal, than you should pay the premium at OEM's for a hand to walk you through the process. I'd rather do my homework and get a discount. I financed roughly 25% of the total cost, and Jason met my requests for purchase, which were much better than I would have gotten with a financing company. He even has also allowed me to get it detailed at his preferred rate from his detail guys, three months after I bought it. Very reasonable shop, flipping used cars. Very nice and accommodating. Probably should slow down a little bit but was reasonable and very nice still. Conclusion: This isn't an OEM dealership. Do your homework. In my purchase, Jason was very fair, identified what wasn't right with the car (which I confirmed with the delaer inspection) and worked with my requests throughout the sales process. I will go to him first for my next purchase and see if he can accommodate my requests. read more

I've dealt with other dealers this by far this has to be the worst he has a bad reputation with not only just customers but with bank loans and auto insurances . . He knowingly let me pull off with a car that was considered a fire hazard that was confirmed through his and my mechanic . We settled at a set price next thing you know he gets mad and throwing out different prices because I won't settle with a bank so he can get his payment . When I told him to just give me the vehicle because it's taken him over three days just to glue the head lining he told me I couldn't get the vehicle until I finished the contract with the bank I had a peace officer come to the dealer ship and guess what now he didn't say that basically I see why his own employee told me he sells only about 10-15 cars a month out of 2 lots . Jason was very helpful and got us back on the road! We were parked across the street from the shop and our car wouldn't start. As I popped the hood up, Jason noticed and asked if we needed a jump. He had someone jump our car, then personally took a look and found that the clamps on the battery terminals were loose, so he got some tools to tighten them down, along with the battery harness to prevent it from moving around while driving. He definitely saved us a bunch of time since I had no tools on me and probably would have ended up calling my insurance company to send someone out to help us. Jason the guy that runs the place is a crook and a liar. He sold my daughter a car and didn't do the paperwork properly. We still don't have the license plates and it's been 9 months. My daughter had to go back in and redo it all again. He also promised to fix a few things which he never seemed to have the parts or the time to do. When we finally got him to fix the heater , which his guy messed up putting the stereo in, he very angrily told my daughter" there your heater is fixed and it cost me 1000 dollars to do it, now don't bother me any more!" That is the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen. He also parked our car across the street, running, with the keys in it. That was how we found it when we picked up the car. He is very unprofessional and only nice to you when he wants to sell you a car. Don't believe anything he says to you! I would never recommend this place to anyone! I'm writing this review as a follow up to my younger brother De Andre Jordan. His review was asked to be written the day we purchased the car, but we made a major mistake! Please be very aware of Jason's sly personality. He locked my brother into a finance on a 2002 Acura TL types S with 105,000 miles on it. Not only did he assure us this was a very great car in great condition, but he promised to give us a deal on the car for 6500. My brother was very excited and this was his first car purchase, and although Jason talked a little to much for my taste he did seem like he had the best interest for my brother. Fast forward 2 weeks and my kid brother is calling me saying he feels some funny things going on with the car, I explained to him it was a used vehicle and won't feel brand new, ( mind you every car I owned has been used and purchased from private dealers, I have never had any major issues to repair outside of a 2005 Audi. I've owned 6 cars and one I have had for 16 years and is still running) but the interior and exterior of the car were maintained very well. I advised him to give it a little more time before he started panicking, bad idea. After about another 2 weeks the transmission began slipping, we looked over our contract and noticed not only did Jason cover his tracks to try and bare no responsibility, but he even wrote down a different price than we agreed on! By this time we had put 1000 miles on the vehicle and the car couldn't be driven. We were completely fooled by his overly helpful personality and gave him the benefit of the doubt. My 19 yr old brothers credit score was the high 600's very well for his age! He payed 4000 down on a car he thought was priced for 6500. Jason locked him in at 22.8apr wrote he sold the car to us for 8100 +. Not only does he not have a car that functions, but if he wanted to get it running again, it costs another 2000. We have had the car for 2 months Nd put 1100 miles on it and Jason is blaming us, the car has been kept in great shape and may even look better than when we bought it from him honestly. And rather than just trying to help his customer out he's blaming him for putting 1000 miles on it like he wasn't supposed to drive the car we bought. He is making it abnormally hard to reach him and is even trying to guilt us into making us feel like trying to help us isn't something he has to do or even really wants to. His customer service goes from 10 to zero once the car is off his lot. It seems like he pays people off the street to help look at his cars and even help upkeep his place. I guess I should have reconsidered at that moment, lesson learned. After doing some very valuable research it seems Jason has done this to other people who have wrote a positive review after being asked. My brother gave him all his savings for a first time buy and has no money or car to show for it. He just got a job that requires him to commute and Jason was even aware of our situation and that we were looking for a reliable commuting car! Be very aware that this man is real scumbag and thoroughly read through any offer he gives you. He will try to talk you into oblivion. If you do purchase a car from him, have it inspected with in the first 30 days! He has been rude, short, and very uncooperative. This was a horrible first experience for my little brother and I hope no family has to endure such an experience by this man again. He does not deserve to be helping the community with vehicles in any way and has been reported to the BBB. If I could give Jason 6 stars I would. Searching on line, I found the car I wanted at Top Notch Auto Sales. On a Saturday, I took the train from San Francisco down to San Jose, and was very positively rewarded for my journey. The car, a 2000 VW Passat wagon, is exactly what I was hoping for; V6, 5 speed manual, sun/moon roof, leather interior, and low miles. Jason was very friendly and helpful. I drove it home. However the story does not end there. I gave Jason a check from my bank for the amount. On Monday, they would not honor the check for the amount of loan money on which they had previously agreed. Caught in a red-tape snafu, Jason worked with me until I was able to come up with the difference. This time/money came directly out of his pocket; yet he helped me, gave me the time I needed and never complained.
