Came in to eat a doughnut with my 3-year old daughter. With all that sugar coursing through her veins she got a little too excited and spilled her chocolate milk. I really wanted to like this place and bring my folks this summer. I tried it several times ,but I felt the girl in the window just wanted to get payment, give the coffee and see you leave. I always had to tell her that please I need two straws and a sleeve as it is extra hot. Then a guy used to be in the afternoons and he was nice and will not get upset for me asking for a receipt, sleeve and two straws. But the last time I went I think they charged me incorrectly because the same drink was almost two dollars more. I asked him and he repeated the order but not the size. That was the last time I went. When we moved to Issaquah from out of state, my daughter who was not familiar with Top Pot Doughnuts commented, "I know that WA allows pot, but I didn't know they had drive throughs for top POT. " The doughnuts is written in small font on their sign. Since then, I always smile a little any time I drive through this location, as it makes me remember her comment. Unfortunately, there are no doughnuts with pot here. Just huge and 'hand crafted' ones. I am not a huge fan of their doughnuts, I find them too sweet, too large and just too rich for my taste having tried bites of a few flavors at different locations. However, they have some nice ice-creams at this location and always have specials in the summer where you can get a really cheap cone! Try their salted caramel or green apple flavor. It's really great. They have a nice coffee and a wonderful chocolate flavor too. I've tried all their flavors and they taste really rich and good, one scoop really satisfies my craving for icecream as it's pretty rich and dense. There is some outdoor seating if you want to eat your ice-cream. That parking lot is mostly vacant too so I like to bring my dog sometimes in the summer as he can sit outside. read more

My family and I made our way in here as an entire group for the first time today. They have awesome doughnuts, ice cream and sandwiches. From reading in their history / cook book they have for sell right now (at least at this location) for like $20. The book seems to be an awesome read about the history and how the name "Top Pot" came to be. One thing I was no aware of is this company is a supplier to the Mecca that is Starbucks and a few airlines. Hopefully I'm not the only weirdo interested in such minute and perhaps stupid facts. read more

Nothing better than a fresh awesome donut to kick off your day or have a nice treat if you feel like you want one :-) prices are a little bit higher than your Krispy Kreme but that's because these donuts are super better than Krispy Kreme donuts. I'm giving a four star for the donuts alone. They are heaven sent - amazing! I'm so glad this location arrived in Issaquah. It's close to our house, which is altogether dangerous. I see the scales tipping in my future! Eek! One thing I do want to encourage the employees to do is to be aware of the drive-through window on busy days. The young man working was chatting for quite awhile with the person ahead of us and we had to pull out and physically go into the location to get our donuts. Not a huge deal - but something to think about. Btw, I think the salted caramel is probably the most delicious doughnut I have ever tasted. My husband goes nuts over the blueberry. I drive along the street this building is located on and it seemed like it took MONTHS to open! It was the talk of the town when it opened and not only have I had plenty of co-workers pick a couple dozen up to share but I have stopped by myself. The building is a funky circular building and has a drive-thru on the backside (this could be very very dangerous when you drive by every morning!). I have noticed that if you do go through the drive-thru don't expect it to be super fast. It seems longer than what I would think usual. The donuts are delicious! I'm a huge fan of the Bavarian creme filled and old fashioned glazed donuts. I really don't see how you can go wrong with any flavor, really. They also have coffee and ice cream options which I haven't tried yet, but I've heard good things about the ice cream! It cost me almost $5 for 2 donuts - YIKES! Not the cheapest donuts in the world, but they are quite tasty and worth a try. read more

We grabbed a six pack here to try their goodies. Everything was robust but nothing noteworthy. They were fresh and looked good, just simple and bland. Liked the seahawk employee shirts. Service was good. I would put these at a step above the grocery store. read more

The drive-thru at this location is the worst. We waited in the drive-thru line for 20 minutes when there were 4 cars ahead of us. Meanwhile people were walking in and out within a few minutes. I don't understand what is so inefficient about their drive-thru process that it takes 20 minutes... this is the second time having to wait this long at this location and we will never come back again. The first time can be considered an aberration, the second time in a row can not. read more

Little off the beaten path, wish they had better coffee. Slow service depending on who is working, going inside is always faster. We like the cake donuts, especially with Seahawk sprinkles. Blueberry is a little too sweet, very generous on the fillngs. I like the the glazed raspberry. Kids love this place! I finally was in the area yesterday and tried Top Pot. I wanted to like it but the Pumpkin Spice latte I ordered was awful. Not only was in just lukewarm it had the taste of burnt coffee. The doughnuts are standard Top Pot fare, but the espresso drinks are just awful. I'm sure they have a wonderful espresso machine and syrups and good beans, but that only goes so far when the employees don't know how to pull a shot. My boyfriend and I come here when the lines are too long at Anchorhead in Talus, and Starbucks around the corner. So I've had the top pot coffee about 10+ times and.. you'd probably be better off without coffee because you won't finish it anyways. That said, I'm a slight coffee snob and am constantly searching for great beans and a barista that knows how to extract the best flavor. So if you don't have a taste for good coffee, maybe you'll be fine! read more

Hmmm......If my memory serves me well, Top Pot Donuts were good.....BUT it seems after some time transpired...a few years later my experiences eating their donuts have taken a drastic turn. Now I no longer eat them because they're too heavy and oily. Leave them inside the original box overnight and you will be amazed how much grease the box will soak up! Not only are they too heavy with grease, they are too sweet! Practically ALL, if not most, of their donuts consists of extremly thick refined sugar coatings that are reminiscent of Safeway or QFC donuts! To each his own but for me these overly priced and overly sweetened confections are NOT my cup of tea! I'll stick to my Specialty's Scones with flax seeds and cranberries. read more

I hesitate to write this, but what happened? Was it too fast with expansion? Did the founders just give up? The quality of the donut has declined to a point I don't bother. I love a cake donut. And these were THE best, bar none. Now, not so much. They used to be a limit crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, now, just doughy. I tried most locations, the QFC's, but something changed. It's not what it used to be and that's sad. Used to get in line early at Bellevue and get a dozen. Sadly, not anymore. Dare I say, the hostess brand is better now? Came to Sammamish for vacation with family and came in one morning and wow great donuts and service but decided to go back before heading back home. Well went today literally before 6pm and the sign was still on as OPEN and couldn't buy a tshirt nor donuts cause apparently was already closed. Bummer not even a gesture to sell the tshirt. This place sucks. My daughter and I went through the drive through and got a dozen donuts. I knew my daughter would be thirsty after her donut so I asked if she could have a little water in a cup. The gal said no and that if I want water I have to pay 1.75 for a bottle of water. My daughter is three and would drink about 3oz of water if that. I have never been to an establishment that will not give you ice water in a cup. I even offered to pay for the cup or the water and the girl stated that they are not allowed to sell their tap water. We are big donut fans and these just don't make the cut, they are larger than most but the real issue is that they always seem dry and sort of stale. We have picked up a dozen before and ended up tossing the last couple because my kids just don't care for them....that usually never happens. I've been getting coffee here every Thursday since they opened. They are usually slow, and not very friendly, but it was convenient. Last week I went and when I sipped my coffee after getting on the freeway it was cold. No time to go back. So this week, I told the guy what happened and he said, well this one will be nice and hot for you, and held out his hands for payment. I told him I go there every week and I wanted this one comped because last week's was cold and he said no. So from now on, I'm going to Starbucks. At least they're consistent. read more

We were here a few weeks ago and at 3pm they had pretty much ran out of everything (they said) and we could only choose from the 2 kinds they had under the glass and blueberry fritters available in the back. We chose salted caramel with runny icing and a blueberry fritter. Both were OK, maybe a 6/10, but the crappy thing was, they brought out another 7 varieties over the course of 15 minutes as we sat there and ate those. When I asked the counter guy about it, he said they just never got around to putting them out and the blueberry fritter was his favorite, which is why he suggested it, and then he just walked away. I normally dont post negative reviews but I've had two bad experiences at this location. The first time, the gal working behind the counter put my doughnut on the counter and someone must have accidentally grabbed it because I never picked it up. When I told the lady I never got my doughnut she treated me like a was lying. Second bad experience, I walked in on a sunday at 4pm and they where out of doughnuts. The gal working said we are out and walked away. She offered no apology for being a doughnut shop that was out of doughnuts. Donuts are great and even the lady that took the order was nice. **Problem and reason for not going back** Guy that we paid had 0 customer service skills. I finally made it to Top Pot in Issaquah. The building was stolen from the Jetson's set, but I won't say anything because it is cool. The donuts were good (I had a cinnamon one and a chocolate one with coconut shavings on it, I forget their names). The coffee was delicious and the service was friendly and prompt.
