We wanted a truck to come to our offices and cater a Friday lunch for the employees. Harder to find than I thought it would be, here in Austin. Fortunately I finally came across Jorge and the Top Taco truck. Even though he already had a luncheon planned for that day, he was able to move his schedule around and accommodate us. Wow! Talk about awesome tacos! Jorge arranged that each employee would get a sample of 4 different meat tacos, several with cheese already melted in, and then we were all able to add our own onions, etc. and sauce. All 3 sauces were amazing and fully complimented the tacos. Jorge had two cooks in the truck and they were efficient, very friendly and accommodating. None of our employees waited that long for their food and everyone, I mean everyone, was blown away by the taste and quality of the tacos. Fresh everything at a more than fair price. Rationally, I know the days Top Taco comes to my office park for breakfast, but literally every weekday morning, I drive into work and look hopefully over to the spot reserved for food trucks and am sad when it is not there. It is this behavior they've inspired in me that has push my review up to 5 stars. Every week I think, "This time I'll try something else." But no... Porkbelly every time, all the time, every day, and twice on Sunday. Also, we love the endless positivity of the owner. He's so happy to sell you his excellent tacos you guys. Ok first things first, make sure you are going to the right food truck. Top Taco is the ORANGE truck not to be confused with the other food truck nearby. Also, it may seem like it is closed since the part facing the parking area is not the side where the counter is, so walk up and around to make sure. Now that that's out of the way, I highly recommend this place. Extremely good tacos, easily one of the best places in Austin for tacos. Their chicken is really good and so is the avocado/guac (definitely worth the extra 0.50 cents). read more

Decide to try this place this morning. I was introduced to the food truck one day in my credit union parking lot. Was really happy with the food over a year ago. Decided to go to e location off 620. Ordered 3 beef fajita tacos and two chicken fajita tacos on flour with cilantro and onion. The food tasted like it had been precooked. A hearty thumbs up to this taqueria. Had the beef and pablano tacos. Both were great. They tasted fresh and juicy (not greasy). The taco sauces I had were really good and unlike any typical taco sources you find at any number of other Mexican food places. The habanero source was tangy and not too horribly hot. The avocado sauce was mild wi trying citrus flavors that were interesting and tasty. I will be back to try some of their other tacos soon. read more

I wanna keep this short and to the point. I had the steak sirloin taco x2. For dinner. With avocado. Filled my stomach well. Great taco. I got corn. I think anyone would like these. These guys show up to my office building sometimes. I've tried them once so far and I was pleased. They are quick, friendly, and the food is pretty solid. The tacos are pretty inexpensive as well. I can't really say much else honestly. It's just a solid taco truck. If that sounds good to you, then maybe you should get off your ass and go get a top taco. read more

I just moved down the street so I was really hoping to like this place a lot more. Tacos are bland and very greasy. I also had a tough piece of sirloin in my taco that I had to throw away. Delicious tacos!! I'm gonna come here again to try more. So, I generally find tacos too easy to make and too boring, taste wise, to justify buying unless I'm hungry and the options are limited. However, I decided to see if they had anything interesting. The selection was pretty normal, but the taste was great! The meat was so flavorful! The corn shells were so soft and not grainy! What I had: - Veggie Poblano - spicy and yummy, but I think I'll pass in the future. The texture was too creamy that the filling squeezed out when trying to eat. - Pork Belly - tired of pork belly yet? Well, if you are, grab this to reenergize your enthusiasm, because these are delicious! Don't bother throwing on avocado (refried beans would probs be fine), because they are flavorful and delightfully and delicately crispy. I would def get these again. Oh man, and the customer service is great. The guy running the truck is enthusiastic about not just providing you food, but he sincerely wants you to love his food. I was so busy getting ready for the event so he followed up with me just the right amount to make sure that everything was set. Our office building has scheduled for a couple of food trucks to come by throughout the week, but Top Taco has quickly become my favorite. The Top Sirloin taco and tamales never disappoint and the charro beans could be considered a meal in itself rather than just a side. The staff was very helpful and had lots of great recommendations if you're not sure on what to order. I personally loved the pastor style tacos but everything we tried was delicious! I was running some errands with a friend in the area and wanted a quick bite to eat. We stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant. We came in and the manager greeted us with a warm hello and took our orders. I ordered two tacos and the menudo. The menudo here is fantastic, plenty of flavor and bits in it. The tacos were also great. They're served plain and with cheese but you can add onions and cilantro from a topping bar. Overall the food was 9/10. It was pretty dang good! I knocked off a star because there is no restroom on site and the gas station next door was closed so I had to go across the shopping center just to wash my hands. I'd definitely still stop by here if I'm ever in the area and craving some great tacos! read more
