Let me start off by saying everyone was nice and polite. I knew exactly what I wanted. I had gotten gel nails on my toes last month by Nail Care in Plano. 4+ weeks and my toes still look good. I just needed to get the rough stuff off my feet. You know what I mean. lol Anyway, regular pedicure + gel manicure on my hands. As soon as I sat down, they were trying to upsell me. Nothing wrong with that. Do you! I turned all upsells down. She was doing my feet and I think she forgot, she started putting the salt/sugar scrub on my feet which is 5.00 extra and she paused and then continued. I thought she would say, 'Oh, I forgot you did not want the scrub! I will give it to you free this time'. When I go to pay, she charged me for the upsell and never said anything. Five dollars is not a big deal, but when a customer tells you no and you go ahead and do it and charge them - that is a problem! Also, they shame you into giving them a tip in this place! I didn't feel they deserved a tip because I could feel their indifference to my service once they understood I was not taking any upsells. They were just going thru the motions to get me out of the chair. While I am paying for the service with an upsell I had declined - she asked me for a tip and then asked for it in cash! I only went there because it is closer to my house than Nail Care and I just wanted a quick polish before I went out of town. Never again!! read more

AMAZING!!! I am as picky as they come (as you will see if you read my other reviews) but Top Ten Nails did fantastic! I went in for a pedicure; Amy did my toes. She is such a sweetheart and so genuine! She did a wonderful job and a beautiful flower design. Lynn did my eyebrows, also a fabulous job. I have gel polish on my nails, and Amy showed me all the colors they have for gel; they have over 70 colors! And their regular polish is all organized by color shade. Clean, big, friendly, salon. I received a pedicure from here a week ago. When I show off my feetsies - they look like I JUST stepped out Top Ten. I mistakenly found this place as I missed my massage appointment because I am an idiot and got lost...even with a GPS. I was so pissed off that I was DETERMINED to spend money. Top Ten was nice enough. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. They took me in right away at 4:30 p.m. I didn't have to wait. I like that being that I was already cranky. After deciding that a manicure/pedicure was in order due to my upcoming wedding, I selected Top Ten Nails because of the good reviews I saw on yelp. I thought "Yelp wouldn't lead me astray." Well.... Wait, sorry, I'm too busy staring at my mess of a manicure to continue. Okay, I'm back now. I got a gel manicure. I should call it a gel mani-disease. Oh yes. I went there. My nails are lumpy, I have air bubbles in one and had to file some rough spots immediately upon entering my car. Now don't think I didn't bring it to the manicurist's attention that my left index finger looks like Frankenstein's face. I did. She halfheartedly filed part of it and let it go. So I am letting it go, too, after writing this passive/aggressive review. I mean, you get what you pay for and this was a cheap manicure (25 bucks). Normally I'd be okay with it. Well. Kind of okay with it. But did I mention I'm getting married? Now my pedicure was pure bliss and my toes look great. Saw all the great reviews on Yelp, so I chanced it - I should have known better. I needed my nails to look good for a conference and so I decided to get a new sett of pink and whites. I was very specific about wanting my nails simple and thin looking but the lady (I think her name was Kim) made about half of my nails white and the other half pink. When I said I didn't want that much white she said that next time I needed to ask for thin white. Meaning she couldn't do much about the way they turned out. I got these done on Friday, and the corner of my middle finger snapped off at the conference on Tuesday and 2 days later, another finger chipped. Also, the lady doing my pedicure asked me if I wanted her to use a callus lotion on my feet - having no idea that this would add $10 to my bill. I won't be returning. read more

I took the leap and finally got acrylics and Top Ten Nails made me happy I did! Gina did the original ones and Rose filled them the next time I went in, and they both did an amazing job. The nails are perfectly shaped (almond tip) and are so thin and smooth that everyone thinks they're real. They also go the extra mile by adding a clear gel top coat after painting them so your nails last even longer. Super reasonable prices as well. My only negative thing I could possibly add is that I asked for a chevron accent nail and even showed a picture of what I want and now it looks like someone scribbled all over my nail. However, my mistake was not going to the guy nail tech for my nail art, he is undeniably the best there for that. Average service for slightly greater than average price. Hadn't been here for over ten years. We stopped in and were given such a hard sell for deluxe pedicure that we actually laughed between the two if us but decided to try. Their deluxe pedicure is ten dollars more than some of their competitors but also 5-15$ less than some places that offer the supposed aromatherapy treatments(that really only offer one additional item to the deluxe pedicure u can get elsewhere for lower price so the 50-60$ pedi is really not worth the additional price in my experience). Just some things I missed and felt lacking such that I won't return: Pedi was supposed to be 50 min but was actually 40 min and u pay 35$ to supposedly get extended time. That ten min could hav been used for a bit more massage and much better callus removal. Callus removal was pitiful. And after using cheese grater lightly, no other file was used to take down roughness left by cheese grater. Massage was brief and didn't relax me. Wait time was twenty min with no warning. Got tired of feet being in water wondering wen they would get to us. No salts or softening agents places in soak water as other places offer for same price. Manager did offer a drink and did find me a pillow for lap wen I asked for one as I am used to having available. Polish has lasted these last four days. Spent ten dollars more for a pedicure that was less than good and could have been memorable and brought me back with a little more care and attention. read more

I visited this nail salon since it was close to another place I had to go to later so it was perfect to kill some time. I was quickly seated which was great, and was told the pedicure was $35. I said yes and sat down but then I noticed there was a menu that had different price options that were not necessarily brought up to me. I usually pay 32 for a pedicure so it didn't seem too bad. For $35 I got a lot less done than I usually do for32. The lady did not apply the nail polish that well, have several nails with polish around the skin and Nails weren't cut evenly. Then after painting my toe nails she said to wait five min and after that asked me to pay. When I asked if I need to wait longer for my toes to dry she said they're good and put on the slippers. Just so when I get home my polish is all messed up. overall feel a little ripped off. I think there are definitely better nails salons that offer more for the price. I've been going to Top Ten for over 10 years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else!! The entire salon is spotlessly clean with HUGE chairs and big screen tvs. You may schedule appointments or just walk-in. I personally call ahead to make sure "my ladies" are available. My mani experience was just okay, it was too fast and it was over before I even got to enjoy it, but they did do a nice job with the polishing...as you can see from my other reviews, I am kind of a mani/pedi nazi so I may be more picky than the average customer... I normally wouldn't get my eyebrow wax in an unfamiliar place, but my eyebrows were in dire need of help so I also got a wax, and I sure did regret it! Worse nails I have ever gotten. The service is terrible because it takes forever to tell them what you want. They up charge you for every little thing. The base prices only work if you want the bare minimum. I went in and got charge 10 dollars more because I wanted them shaped. My nails were quirked and bumpy. One of my nails broke in 4 days. Also the lady kept hitting my cuticle over and over till it bled, and when the nail polish got bumped she didn't fix it. Then she didn't tell me the up charge till I got to the register. This has been the worse experience with nail solans ever. It's not worth the price they are charging because it looks like a 5 year old did your nails. Terrible experience and rude staff. We just got done here for my sister's birthday. We called ahead and reserved 3 seats for pedicures. When we got there there were 2 seats ready and they said the third would be ready soon. My nail lady kept digging into my nail beds so hard that she would press down and ask me if I hurt. Then when it came time for the massage which was the only reason I came, since I am 4 months pregnant and my feet hurt so bad. She literally just rubbed one finger around the same spot on the top of my foot until her "time was up". After applying my mom's and my polish they then looked at my sister and remembered she was there. We were done and they finally wanted to start her pedicure! After my sister politely declined, they agreed to just polish so we could all leave together. They then charged her for a polish change after she had to sit there the entire time!! Less than a week later all of my nails all came off with no effort they all just start lifting off and came right off. I went there tonight to ask them to fix them I showed them how they were lifting right off.....they asked me to come back later and they would do something after asking me who I was and did I have a receipt. So this is my second time going to this nail salon. First time I got a mani pedi. Pedi ok mani not so ok. They messed up my nails and I asked them to fix it, fail. So I asked the lady that did my pedicure to fix it, little better. But when I left I just wasn't feeling it so I said to myself I'd never return..... And I hadn't, until today. I needed my acrylic nails taken off and they are right across from when I live so I got on my bike and rode over. I figured they can mess up taking nails off....WRONG. So very wrong. I walk in ask for a nail removal, sit down and she starts filing/power drilling my nails down... I don't say anything, maybe this is how it starts. She asks if I want my nails cut, I say no. Then she buffs them and then pulls out clippers. I politely reminded her, no I do not want my nails cut. She told me 'that's not right, you need cut'. Shook her head and put oil on my nails and says 'wash'. While I'm getting up I say, you're gonna take this off right (pointing the acrylic still on my nails)? She says yea. Wash my hands, come back and she has a receipt out like we're finished. I said no, I asked for nail removal. No acrylic please. She files/power drills me some more and says ok. I said no! No acrylic, I want them off please. Finally soaks my nails in a bowl of nail polish remover (which is what I used to), takes my hands out and proceeds to file my nails down so thin now I have paper nails that probably won't make it through the day without breaking. read more

I called on a Saturday afternoon and they were so nice over the Phone. I asked if they offered nexgen nails she said yes and told me the price. Which was great compared to other salons prices! She said are you coming now I said yes and she said come on then we will see you soon! Very friendly in a fun way. When I walked in I was greeted by a man who welcomed me and asked me what I would like. Told him and he had a sense of humor and said I was in luck I was next up for my nails. They were fairly busy for a Saturday and I got right in! I saw Kim who right away was so nice and pleasant! She has a great personality and was giving me tips and advice about my nail care what what would be best. She's the professional so I agreed. She informed me there is an additional charge to things, told me the tips would be a charge and then also offered to do my cuticles to enhance the nails and of corse make them look better. I accepted and was very very happy with the outcome! Kim pays attention to the details of the nails and She also informed me of every charge. If the service is great I have no problem spending the money! Just hearing the fun conversations between the employees and their regulars has me wanting to go back. I've been to this nail salon probably over 10 times and this last time (about 10 minutes ago) I went was Horrible. I got a full set and pedicure which somehow came out to $60...$70 with tip. No added gel color/French or designs. That itself is ridiculous. The lady kept trying to up sell me on a different color also which pissed me off cause I said no multiple times and her being pushy made me very uncomfortable. I left with polish in my cuticles and some polish not even covering my whole nail, and my pinky toenail with clearly way too much gunked up polish on it. My pinky fingernail was too long and uneven... And I even had her redo it at the salon. My nails look awful, and for $70 I should come out of the salon happy with my nails without having to redo them when I get home. Don't go here. read more
