This place was AMAZING!! The prices aren't bad as well. Came in here for the first time with hubbs yesterday and they sat us immediately. The clam chowder soup was fantastic and I ordered a cheeseburger with avocado.. one of the best burgers I've ever had. Ate the whole thing. Our server was named Bree I believe and she was the sweetest thing! I will be coming back. Had a great time! They have plenty of space for tons of people. read more

To the waiter that was a complete A.Hole.. you should get a new job because you had the worst attitude yesterday! We came in yesterday for late breakfast early Lunch and the guy was such. Cee U Next Tuesday! We hadn't even sat down yet and he had that sourpuss look on his face. All I asked was if they had beer and he gave the ugliest look and was like no, we don't serve alcohol here.. with the most condescending tone! Ok... so we sit down and we haven't even opened the damn menus and he's trying to rush us on our drinks... ok. I asked if they had chocolate milk for my kids and this guy straight out just tells me, "well, I can make One"... who freaking responds like that? Just say yes! And again with the worst freaking tone ever! After that I was like I'm leaving. I'm not going to stay and spend my money to pay some a hole that should not be in customer service industry. And as we're leaving, my husband told him to not bother with the drinks because we were leaving. He was completely rude just through his hands up and grunted.! Someone shat in his cereal that morning and I'm not one to leave bad reviews but this guy just pissed me off! HORRIBLE! horrible! Learn how to treat people! read more

Horrible service... or lack there of. Was not greeted or acknowledged when we walked in even though there were multiple servers walking around and chatting. (White lady, tall male server and dude with glasses) we seated ourselves and waited 5 minutes just to get the menus. Once we were given menus, we got our drinks immediately but waited over 10 minutes before we had to flag a server down to ask him to take our order. He noted he would tell a server which was the woman that was standing behind the register staring at us the whole time. When he told her (we're right in front of her) she still took a minute to walk up. At that point we did not want to spend any money here. Not busy.. My fiancé and I decided to head to Lake Gregory for a walk around the lake and wanted to get something to eat afterwards. We stumbled upon this place and I'm so glad we did! First off, the staff is incredible! They're extremely nice and super friendly and really attentive! The vibe is very small town diner with a mod-podge of decor with delicious food! The portions are huge and everything was so good. Multiple times my fiancé and I said how good everything was and we shared everything. The biscuits are a must! They also have these huge slabs of brownies near the front counter that are to die for and the strawberry shake definitely hit the spot for the drive home. We came here after hiking the Heart Rock trail and had worked up quite an appetite. The owner and waiter were very kind and welcoming. The food was solid. My girls pancakes were super fluffy, curly fries were perfectly crisped, and the torta was an amazingly yummy suprise and massive! Definitely worth a stop if you are visiting Crestline. read more

Great food, AMAZING HOSPITALITY! We decided to take a day trip to crestline and stumble upon this place. We had dinner which included burger, soup, and dessert. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with such great service from everyone working there. It is the true definition of a family restaurant. The food is cold! They may you feel like if you mention this you are trying to get a free meal. No esperanza just trying to get what we are paying for! If I wanted it cold would have gone to subway. Handing me the plate with gloves on and saying it is hot means nothing if I am able to grab the plate with my bare hands and respond nope it's cold! Put it in the microwave I wasn't asking you to recook it and I wasn't looking for anything outside of the senior discount. And when we came in indicating that you already knew us- yeah as the ppl who want a hot meal! Get it together top town! I phoned my order in around 5:00 pm and it was ready in fifteen minutes. The woman who rang me up was very friendly, as was one of the young waitresses who thanked me on my way out. She didn't have to do that but she did and customer service like that is what sets a place apart from others. I ordered the taco salad and it was DELICIOUS. Had the "usual" Sausage, eggs and Blueberry Pancake breakfast. WOW! The sausage was unlike any I have found in the stores, tender, juicy and flavorful.....then the Blueberry Pancakes were covered in whipped butter which then, DIDN'T REALLY NEED ANY SYRUP. The breakfast are SOOO good, I don't want to try any other of the other lunch or dinner menus items. We make a special trip to Crestline just to visit the T.T. Cafe. The lake and Goodwin's market are cool too, full of Lake sweats, souvenirs and history books. read more

OMG worst food ever. I have been to The Top Town Cafe numerous times but this trip was the worst. I will never go back. Ordered a beef dip and pastrami dip with a bowl of soup to go. The bowl of soup was a total rip off for 8 dollars and change we got a small Styrofoam cup not even close to be worth the money we paid . The sandwiches were on a stale roll and a complete mess. Onion rings and fries were cold and not crispy at all they were soggy. I am so mad what a waste of good money. read more

First time visiting since the change of ownership. Very friendly and helpful. Ambience needs some work; some windows and walls not decorated. Hopefully, they will get a better menu system; ours were wrinkled and stained. Many of the same foods as the previous owners. We tried the chicken fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes and corn; delicious but the steak seemed like a frozen patty (not crispy). Also the Rueben with seasoned curly fries; very tasty but the meat was more like ham than pastrami with too much gristle. Chips and salsa similar to before. We will be back to try the tacos, burgers, and burritos. read more

I am a regular here because the home cooked meals are so delicious. I've tried almost everything in the menu and I have to say, try their pastas, so delicious. You have to try the lemon pepper chicken dinner, my favorite dinner item. For breakfast, I prefer the huge ham steak meal. The steak is bigger than the plate. Pancakes are delicious and fluffy with warm syrup and a generous portion of butter on top. The albóndiga soup is so flavorful. This place may not have white linens or all luxurious but the food is absolutely delicious. If you want a cosy ambiance with amazing staff that always greets you with a smile, try this restaurant. You will understand why they deserve a 5 star. read more

We arrived past 6pm Saturday night with family, placed our dinner order with exceptional servers, and soon discovered that the lovely owner was our chef! Her cooking is beyond Heavenly. We enjoyed the professional, courteous, and friendly staff so much, that we stayed beyond closing time, truly engaged with our group. Since the location has changed owners, I'm very disappointed. Primarily due to the fact that there is no alcohol served. The only thing I come back for is to see my friendly waitress that has stuck around since the change. I probably won't be back till they get their alcohol license.... But I get the sense, they haven't even applied for a license. read more

Dang. We loved this location when it was the Bear restaurant, and I was hoping the new version would be the same or better. Unfortunately I ordered the salmon and it smelled and tasted so terrible that I couldn't take more than one bite. A clearly "gone bad" ammonia type smell/taste :(. My husband got the carne asana fries and the scoop of guacamole it came with was clearly old and changing color. This was extremely depressing. Hoping they at least re-open the bar and have karaoke so there's something redeemable here. read more
