Oxtails, rice and peas, plantain, and boiled banana

Enjoyed dinner at Topclass for my grandmother's birthday. Delicious food and great service. Felt like a true Caribbean cuisine. I haven't had boiled banana in so long! Reggae in the background provided a great mood. We ate on a Wednesday evening so I can't speak to a wait on busier days, but we were seated quickly and served quickly. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food given.

We enjoyed our evening at Top Class. Kerry was a great server and we were impressed that she was also the chef. We started with plain beef patties, then continued with the Curried Shrimp and Curried Goat, and the Jerk Chicken. All very tasty, but I have to say the stand out for me were the plantains. Perfectly cooked! Caramelized on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. I also enjoyed my rum punch! Thank you!

Came for happy hour and lingered to enjoy the music lol. We only ordered appetizers and some drinks, but were very satisfied with both. The food was packed with flavor and delicious. Service was pretty good as well.

Zero complaints. Yelp reviews are harsh, I almost didn't try it for myself. Wonderful experience. Great customer service. Food was delicious, hot and fresh. Nice ambiance filled with Jamaican dancehall rhythm. Can't wait to go back.

Great food and great prices! They have a curry chicken lunch special that's pictured at the top for only 6.99! You really can't beat that. I got a side of Mac for about $4 and a cornbread for about $1.50. The oxtail pictured is $23 and came with 3 sides! They charge you $2 for extra gravy though and the "extra" gravy was almost nonexistent. You really can't beat these prices though and the food was delicious too. Not the best oxtail I've ever had but still great. The interior is very nice so I'll have to come back to dine in for sure!

Food ok but they must work on service, it's very slow, not really attentive and all over the place. And the strangest thing you cannot go into restaurant and order to go They made several customers go back outside and go through drive thru.. they only do lunch specials Monday-Thursday not Friday not sure why but they should rethink that..

I had a terrible experience at Top Class. After waiting over 30 minutes for my drive-thru order, I received food that was completely inedible -- overcooked, greasy, and honestly unfit for anyone to eat. I live over an hour away and was having car trouble, so returning immediately wasn't possible. On May 10, 2025, I called and spoke with LaShun, who said no manager was available and told me to call back the next day. On May 11, 2025, I called again and was told to call back later when they weren't so busy. When I finally got through to the "manager on duty," Marchell, she made the situation worse. She was dismissive, rushed me off the phone, and insisted I bring the food and receipt back, despite me offering to send pictures as proof. I wasn't asking for a replacement -- just a refund for food that was clearly unacceptable and definitely not "cooked to order" as they claim. This was one of the most unprofessional and frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that actually values its customers.

So, I've been here twice and waited to review because I don't like writing negative reviews. All in all, I will say that the idea behind this restaurant and the intentions are A+. I love that there are Caribbean fusion dishes, the presentation is pretty, and the drinks are very reasonably priced. I would revisit for the budget-friendly drinks, but probably alone as I was pretty embarrassed coming here with someone and receiving the service that we did. Both times I've walked in, I was yelled to from the bartender whether I was taking out or sitting at the bar (confusing question because I wanted to sit at a table). In her defense, this sit down restaurant also has a takeout window for those ordering to go. The first time I visited, I came for happy hour and sat at the bar. The bartender, Abby, took my order. The rate at which she began to make my drinks was EXTREMELY slow. I even waved her down to ask if she could make my drinks first, then figured out how to enter my takeout order into her handheld system. Even after she entered the order, it took her 10 minutes to open a bottle of beer and make a margarita (there were no other drink orders currently waiting). They have a HUGE deal on their happy hour items--I ordered jerk wings and oxtail sushi (the picture is on the background of the appetizer section of the menu). She said they don't sell jerk wings (to which I pointed to the menu) and said they were out of the oxtail sushi. I ordered the oxtail bao instead. The fusion items are very creative and the margarita was good. The second time I visited, I sat at a table. I ordered two appetizers as my meal (again, they did not have the oxtail sushi)--the jerk wings and the oxtail bao, and my date ordered the jerk burger with no fixings. We also ordered two margaritas--Abby was behind the bar again. This time, there was a DJ (maybe on Friday nights). My date's burger came out incorrectly, without my meal. It was taken back to the kitchen to be fixed--and was fixed incorrectly. A sweet girl, I don't remember her name, came to bring out my appetizer wings. She had wonderful customer service and later on I was told that she's worked in the hotel industry before. Then, our drinks came.. then my other appetizer came. The wings were very pink on the inside and the bao was overcooked and tough (and somehow when I dined in I received two bao but the take out order had three). The fries were really good and I wish the burger was a little bigger for the size of the bun. I DO intend to revisit sometime in the future because I love to support black businesses, but I certainly hope they make some changes. It was a little off putting that the windows are so huge with no shading at night and the lights remain very bright as well. I'll try again for a third time, though, because I do think this place has a lot of potential.

I come here quite often, maybe twice a week more or less. So I'm a little shocked that I didn't post anything beforehand of all the meals that I've had here, but I must say that one thing for certain that their brunch is really really good as well as their lunch specials that they have throughout the weekday. This restaurant is going through a bit of a change now that they have brunch in the mornings and a DJ on Saturday night as well. They only take card no cash. And have now introduced hookah to menu on weekends. Me and my partner pretty much ate together, so we tried each other's meals and the rum punch was absolutely delicious so it was the oxtail boas. The rum punch definitely tasted like it had Wray and nephew in it and my cocktail with passion fruit finished the rest off. It was delicious the chicken wings were fried to perfection also. Another job well done from a top 10 restaurant of mind in Orlando. I will be back that's for sure, both brunch and lunch.

My wife and I stopped here while visiting family. Our stop was during midday and even then this restaurant has beautiful ambiance and appears that at night it would be even better. We had the Jerk chicken and oxtail meals (5), well seasoned, but it could've been a little spicier the jersey chicken that is. We engaged with an employee by the name of Andre, he knew the menu well and gave us what he'd recommend only after we asked which we appreciate. We aren't fond of going to establishments that push only what they want to push. Overall this was a great experience and I'm sure we'll visit again. More SUCCESS Topclass

Okayyyyy, I was so excited to come here and had HIGH HIGH hopes for this one. First off, I'm Loving the renovations!!! Drove by and didn't even recognize the building. BEAUTIFULLY DONE!! There were quite a few things wrong that I need to address: 1) I wanted a rum punch so bad at that very nice looking bar but no one was there to serve us. The bartender just didn't show up and I guess they don't have a backup person. So yea, I didn't like that. 2) You need a key to get in the bathroom which can be a long wait when there's a line to get back to the window. 3) No hot sauce or any condiments out so if you need one, guess what, back in line. The main issue is......I wasn't impressed with the food at all. We both ordered a large oxtail w peas n rice. Rice was still a little crunchy and the oxtail had zero flavor and a little burnt. I guess it wasn't the cook's day. So we're about to take our plates home and revamp it with some oxtail seasonings and sauce (which I hate doing when I already paid for someone else to do it). The service was good we'll just try one more time when they have a little more staff on duty. Maybe it will be a better experience.

    Oxtail Plate

I recently purchased a oxtail plate and only received 4 small oxtails in the plate. The plate was $23. When I contacted the establishment about the number of oxtails in the plate and was told that it should have been 5. For the size I don't think the plate is worth $23. I have been there before and ate inside and received more than 4 to 5 oxtails. I was very disappointed!

The food is always delicious and fresh. They are not stingy on the portions!! I always get their curry chicken and white rice. The flavor is great, staff is always friendly and the restaurant is always clean. The only Jamaican food spot I'll order form in the O.

No complaints there at all. Beef Patty: 2/5 - The seasoning was actually pretty good, so the flavor was there. Unfortunately, the patty itself was very dry and had much less beef filling than I expected. I kept hoping for a better bite, but it never really happened. Coco Bread: 1/5 - It was served warm, which was nice, but it was also quite dry. I was expecting the soft, buttery, slightly sweet coco bread that's perfect for pairing with a patty. This one missed the mark for me. Overall, the experience wasn't terrible thanks to the excellent customer service, but the food just didn't live up to what I expect from a Jamaican restaurant. There are enough great Jamaican spots around Orlando, that I probably wouldn't make a return trip here. I was rushing on my break or I would've taken a photo.

The giant NOW OPEN banner was flapping like it personally invited me, and the storefront painted in bold Trinidad flag colors looked ready to hand out citizenship papers with every order. I walked in thinking I'd grab a quick bite. Rookie mistake, one look at the doubles and suddenly I'm ordering five. Then I'm calling my aunt and cousin like it's a family emergency: "Allyuh want doubles? Because these looking SERIOUS." Next thing you know, I'm walking out with ten doubles like I'm catering a small festival. And let me tell you, these doubles? Soft bara, perfectly seasoned channa, pepper and tamarind sauce hugging everything like a warm Caribbean auntie. I've basically been on a doubles‑only diet since, and honestly, I feel spiritually aligned. I even ate one cold from the fridge and it still slapped. That's when you know it's real. Then there's the boneless curry chicken with buss‑up‑shut. Pure comfort. The kind of meal that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. The potatoes were soft enough to spread on a cracker, the channa was rich and earthy, and the chicken tasted like somebody's grandmother was in the back whispering, "Put a lil' more seasoning, nah." The buss‑up‑shut was fluffy, torn, and ready to scoop up every drop of curry like it had a mission. And the pepper sauce? Flavorful. Respectful. Not trying to fight me or send me to the ER. A rare and beautiful thing. The place is clean, the parking is plentiful, and the staff has real Trini accents that instantly make everything feel more authentic. Even the way they say "Next!" has rhythm. Next time, I'm calling ahead for dhal phourie, because clearly this place does not miss and I'm not risking it selling out. If you see me there again, mind your business! I'm probably ordering another ten doubles and living my best life.

I was getting together with some friends and we ordered from Negril. Luckily, a couple of my friends are Jamaican and they helped steer me to some new faves! Food I'd highly recommend: - Brown stew chicken meal with rice and peas, fried plantain, and stewed cabbage. This dish is rich and has the potential for leftovers if you're not starving. For the uninitiated, Jamaican rice and peas consist of red kidney beans and rice that's cooked in broth, coconut milk, and tons of aromatic spices. This isn't your white rice and green peas type of situation. I could have eaten this rice on its own, but add in the brown stew sauce and WOW. Also, I love the cabbage side because it adds a vinegary note that offsets the rich stew. Note: The chicken is cut up and includes bones. - Coco bread: This is a Jamaican style bun baked with coconut milk. The menu read great and we were excited to try this place since we love Jamaican Food. Was not easy to make a reservation - had to call Universal main line and choose from options. However, once we got a person, the reservation process was easy and pleasant. We informed the person taking the reservation that this was our first time visiting the restaurant so we expected a nice table - I assume they want repeat business. But instead we were seated right in front of the live band and it was so loud, we couldn't talk at all. The funny thing was that the restaurant was barely half full! Our waiter also had a tough time hearing us so we had to corret our orders a couple of times. They ran out of beef patties:-( that day. We decide to order some appetizers and a couple of entrees and shared. We had the Buffalo Soldier Jerk Wings - Had a nice spice to it and was quite delicious. We also hd the Jerk Caulifolower bites - a little sweet and spicy sauce and we all agreed this was the best dish we had! We had the Curried Goat stew - a weak curry and did not really have any spice to it. The Reggae Jamaican Jerk Chicken had a sweet spice and sticky sauce - next best dish we had. We also ordered the Coco bread- which was disappointing andd I do not recommend. It was just bread with some butter in it and definitely overpriced for what you got! Cocktails were rather weak. Server was just OK. He wasn't very attentive and did nothing to make our visit great.

Beef patty with rolls and fries. My kids enjoyed it. A bit too dry for my taste.
