I'm not a fan of golf like, at all but, I was invited to go here with family and let me tell you I actually had a lot of fun! I always thought it was just a place where golfers practice. I'm glad I got to experience this place. The atmosphere is amazing. Everyone has their own lounge area. We were up on the 3rd level so I was kind of scared because I'm afraid of heights but, I was able to play without getting too nervous and won first place on my team! Cool place - think bowling alley set up except for golf. First you need a membership card $5 for life then you need a bay to play - much like a lane at a bowling alley. Customer service is a focus which is good as the wait staff can keep the food and drinks flowing - which ultimately results in what could be an expensive evening. Their rates increase throughout the day - open until noon is $25 per hour, then $35 per hour until 5p, then $45 per hour until close. Weekdays they close at midnight but on weekends they close at 2a. They try to have a club vibe with music and flashing lights on your golf targets. They do offer memberships which is a good deal as I know a few folks that have joined. If you are with a couple or two, the rates aren't so bad - it took 3 of us about 50 minutes to get through 2 games. I recommend taking about 5 shots each to not only help pace but also get in a rhythm. The whole concept is genius and this place is printing money. So this is our first time at this establishment and we were in the v bar area cuz we don't have reservations. We just wanted to check out the place. I like the vibe and the bartender JB4 was really cool answering my questions. And really quick with the drinks. I ordered the TG wings, which has a count of six but I lefty one. I absolutely LOVED Topgolf! My brother came to visit one weekend and he asked me what kind of fun things we could do around Jacksonville. I had never been to Topgolf but I knew it had opened recently and I had heard about it so I suggested we go there. It was a Thursday night and he called ahead to make sure we did not need to make a reservation. He was told no need for a reservation so we headed there around 7 PM. Their were 5 of us total. We pulled up and they had a huge parking lot (which was nearly full). They are located near the St Johns Town Center and you can also see Topgolf from the highway. When you walk into the lobby there is a counter to the left which you go to receive your Membership (required). It costs $5 which gives you a lifetime membership. The wait was maybe 5 minutes. Then you go to the counter towards the right to pick how long you want to golf and you are to inform them if you have any left handed peeps in your group. Prices all vary depending on the day and time you come. They have this information listed on their website also. This establishment has several floors. The first floor has a full service bar, check in counter, membership counter (all indoor) and you can play outside on this floor. There are 3 floors which you can play. They have a pool tables, rooftop terrace bar, terrace suites, event and private party rooms. We choose to play on the third floor. They have stairs and an elevator. When we arrived on the top floor they had a full service bar, high top tables and lounge chairs with tables. Each table has its own number and we were given a number when we checked in. We opted for the lounge chairs. You can tell everything is brand new because it was clean, beautiful and had an upscale vibe. You play outside but it is covered and they have heaters radiating heat from the ceiling which you have the option of controlling with a switch located where the golf club station is by your table. They have a computer touch screen which you select which player is currently hitting and with a wave of your golf club the golf ball comes out and onto your putting green. The view from the top floor was really quite spectacular and each hole is lit up with different colored lights. The entire place is surrounded with a screen to keep the golf balls from going outside of the establishment and they have employees in carts riding around picking up balls periodically. We also ordered some appetizers, drinks and desserts and everything was great! We had a server checking on us and she was very informative with the menu and the whole concept behind Topgolf. Topgolf is a blast! Great for the young or old and beginner or advanced player. It's very family friendly and even has family restrooms, kids clubs you can use, and a kids menu which is a big bonus. I've been here quite a few times now and always have a good experience. It does get super busy, so keep that in mind before you plan a trip there. They do offer online reservations, which I recommend if you're going on a weekend day (unless you get there when they first open). Tuesday is half-priced day which is awesome if you're able to swing it (see that golf pun there?). Prices vary by day and time and are charged by the hour so check that out as it can get pricey quick. What's great about this place is you can head there on a rainy day and still enjoy an "outdoor" event without getting wet. Perfect for a date night, hang out with friends, or family time. read more

My friends and I had a blast at Topgolf. We were celebrating a birthday and there were a bunch of us. Only six can play at each station. Servers come by to take your food and drink orders. We had already eaten dinner but we all had a drink. There was only about an hour left to play and it was a Monday so it wasn't too busy. But our drinks took nearly 20 minutes to arrive. You have to purchase a membership card for $5, then you add money to the card that allows you to check in at the station and play. You get five hits each time you are up to play and there is an electronic chip in the ball that keeps score. There are different games you can select prior to playing. I have never played golf and my score was the lowest of six, but at least I was able to score lol. I will definitely go back again and hopefully drinks will not take as long to arrive. read more

I thought it was a good way to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the start to the Holiday Season. We were on the first playing level of the three. An added plus was that we had couch style seating because my grandkids ( three and one ) were with us. Other options include bistro and bar seating. Our hostess fulfilled our food orders. Super fun, nice accommodations, extremely busy. The service is pretty slow, but you get bay side service with food/drinks. You can hit as many balls as possible in your hour time slot. There are several games to choose from and you can add more players as they arrive. You can also add more money on your game card, and extend your play time on your own as well. I came here twice with my work. One for a holiday party with the firm and one for just only our line of business. It was full even on weekdays! I would suggest to come with a large party and make reservations. I'm not sure about the cost as the company paid for it, however I heard that it's expensive. On both occasions, we only had 2 hour slots to play plus appetizers and beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). I'm not a pro golf whatsoever, but on both occasions, these two wonderful staff taught me and a few others in how to swing and keep a stance. At the holiday party, I was only able to roll the ballot my platform, but at my second event, I started to get the hang of it and got pretty good (not a pro, but it did fly somewhere). I was able to make it in the middle holes and that's it, however it was a good start. I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back here again (only with a large party). This was my first time golfing ever. I am not an athletic person, nor do I understand anything about golf, but this was a blast! The facility itself was super nice! It looked brand new and it was packed for a Sunday! We got there right after noon, which changed he price to $35 an hour for one bay. Before noon it was $25 an hour. As the day goes on the pricing goes up per hour for a Bay. Regardless we split it between four people for an hour and a half. It was so worth it! If you're new to top golf, you do have to pay a $5 lifetime membership fee. Keep that card or your information and it's only a one time fee; when you return you won't be charged the $5. They had a great drink and food menu! I tried the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which was good but kinda bland. It was supposed to have a slaw topping but it was just a piece of chicken on a bun. I'm so glad I ordered a side of bbq sauce on the side! My friends tried the pepperoni flatbread, breakfast burrito and buffalo chicken sliders. All of which looked amazing! The prices were not bad either! Drinks ranged from $8-16 and food averaged about $9-10. We took turns golfing which was really fun! I don't understand golf but it was almost like adult "mini golfing" in the sense that you hit the balls into a netting by each flag pole. Interesting concept but very fun! Each ball also has a tracker so it tells you exactly where the ball landed! Here are also different game formats to choose from, such as hitting the balls farther or hitting the balls closer to the flag. Overall, I am super impressed! I wasn't sure if I'd be good at it, but this is great for people on all levels (beginners, experts, etc). I loved it and can't wait to go back! So when I heard that we were doing a business outing at Top Golf I was afraid- and so should everyone else had been. But it just so happens (( IT DOESN'T MATTER)) it's all good fun :) Yeah, I sucked and yeah it was on full frontal display for my higher-ups and subordinates to see in all it's glory. But I learned something, after a few beers- nobody cares, it's all just fun. Of course they all had their turns too, some faired better-some worse. At the end of the night, we had a blast! It's set up with enough privacy that you're only gonna be embarrassed by your select audience so - just go for it :D The food and service was excellent. The vibe and facility really feels high end. Alexa and her team were kind enough to invite me and my friends back to give TopGolf another go. I still can't give it five stars, but I did genuinely enjoy my experience. We played two hours of golf in a well-heated bay and enjoyed good music and delicious food throughout. Everyone we talked to was super nice and helpful and trying their best to make it a great experience. The issues honestly lie in the processes and systems they have in place, not the service or the concept or the food/drink. Everything you try to do (split bills, use game credit, add time, etc.) requires several steps and/or several people to accomplish. They were also just severely understaffed at the time but mentioned it and apologized for it - which isn't the fault of the wait staff or concierge team. The waitress mentioned they are going to be updating their payment system over the next few weeks to alleviate a lot of the aforementioned issues, so I likely won't be back until that rolls out. Overall - the staff are friendly and as helpful as they can be, the food and drink are awesome, and the golf is a solid way to spend a couple hours with friends. This has been on my TO-CHECK-OUT list for a while so tonight was the night. Man was this place packed but we were sat quiet quickly. It wasn't my intent to play golf but that changed and I'm so glad I did. What fun I had although my golf game SUCKED but I was able to laugh at myself. I was there with family so we ordered different plates to share and let me say everything was so DELICIOUS. We had 3 different flavor wings; my favorite Asian something, cooked perfectly the way I like them. We also had the pulled pork sliders-so good and we had the buffalo chicken sliders but I'd eaten so much of the other stuff I didn't taste that. In terms of food, I've had their regular menu as well as private brunch catering for an event. The food here is average, nothing special but what you'd expect at a bar or casual dining place. The golf is good, the adds are not. I love top golf, and I've been coming here for years. It seems that every time I come a larger and larger portion of the screens at your both are covered in ads. At this point only about an 1/8 of the screen is actually used for your top golf game, it's utterly ridiculous. For the price you pay to golf here, top golf should really do better. read more
