Terrible customer service. We were told by the greeter that we needed our current membership card reprinted and when we went to the main desk to reprint we were told we had to renew our card and pay a fee even though it wasn't expired. When we asked a few simple questions to try and understand why, the lady at the counter slid our card back without looking up and didn't say anything to us. We stood there waiting to be helped and she simply ignored us. Between the confusion with our card and lack of respect by the employees we definitely won't be back. read more

Came here with 4 of my co-workers to just have a fun time. None of us have ever been to top golf before so we told the lady at the front desk that we were new. She didn't really care to explain anything to us at all and sold us on some deal that truly didn't make any sense at all, and then just turned around and gave us her backs. We stood there for a few seconds wondering what we were supposed to do and then I think she realized that we were confused, so she told us that we could go get situated anywhere - thanks. We ended up playing on 1 card, with 1 of our names on it, so we couldn't really keep track of who scored what - thanks for the great advice! Our server on the other hand, was awesome. She was super attentive and kept the drinks coming. Overall, we had a great time - other than the fact that we went there with the idea of playing against each other and not all on 1 card like the front desk lady told us to do. Had a lot of fun, food was great. I got the chicken and waffles and friends got burgers. Service was decent. However, we ordered a round of crown royal shots and they were cold and completely watered down. Everyone who had one noticed it. I brought it up to a manager and he gave me the runaround about how the bartenders used a jigger and brought it right out, doing nothing about it. When you're getting charged $10 a shot, I expected a little more. Food is good and golf is fun, but wouldn't order drinks. They're a rip off. read more

They botched their post COVID safety protocols. They only put up barriers where patrons sit, not where they tee off. Many players yell from the tee area, therefore exposing aerosols which can travel cross bay. Also i saw wait staff reuse pens from party to party without disinfectant. Get it together TopGolf - before you have a problem! Last comment, they let way too many balls collect out on the range. We had so many shots that were botched because they hit stray balls. They are starting to update the mats which is nice. Now they need to improve the quality of the balls and the nets. There is at least 1-3 balls each game that does not register which is super annoying especially if you are competing against someone. The drinks and food is way over priced. I wish they had more finger food options cause it's hard to eat a greasy burger then try to swing a club. I'd rather drive longer to go to the Naperville location which is more up to date and nicer. This location should go through a major update or charge people less than the Naperville location since it is more run down. read more

We we're here with a group of 6. We can tend to be needy and even though we are a good time, Rachel accommodated us to every need. We prefer coke I stead of Pepsi, and we requested she say here's your coke inscoke instead of Pepsi, and she came through. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and the concept is good. However, this location is quite old and the scoring technology doesn't work well. We had lots of difficulty on multiple lanes with balls not getting registered properly, or balls landing in targets but not getting scored. Recommend avoiding this location and going to newer Top Golfs with newer technology. read more

This is my second time here and I had fun both times. Top Golf takes away the tediousness of going to the range and turns it into a fun social event. Avid and beginning golfers, families, groups, young and old this place caters to all. The bays are large enough for four people. Once assigned all aspects as far as how to use the range and equipment are explained. Very user friendly and easy. The atmosphere is relaxed. The initial price to use the range is fair. Club rental is free! Unfortunately there are no left handed clubs. Occasionally golf balls may not register as they should. When notified the staff will rectify the situation. The games for the range are set up well and there are some games that will present challenges for even the most experienced golfer. The games will teach beginners to focus on accuracy and correct club selection for a given distance. If your idea of going to the range is grabbing a driver only to see how far you can hit it, this probably is not the place for you. Big hitters on the top deck will hit the back net on a regular basis with not much satisfaction as to how far the ball actually traveled. The food and drink prices are on par with any national chain, bar/ grill type restaurant. Quality is good. Service can be a bit inconsistent. Bottom line this place is just plain fun! read more

I love this place, because it challenges you to hit targets during game play activities. It is setup to be a social, fun environment and it doesn't fail. I wish the games were a bit more cost effective, but with all the technology involved I can understand why it's more expensive than the mom & pop driving range. I would love to go weekly, but the budget doesn't allow for that. A great social environment for date night with my wife or a group outing with friends. This place is in such demand it is very difficult to find a bay, unless you are like my wife and I and head there on Valentine's Day when it was nearly subzero wind chill. Though more pricey than a standard driving range, the food and drinks are good, the service is great and the games make it more like a dartboard for golf. Also, no need to bring your own clubs - you can rent them for free! I also took my first set of golf lessons with Matt at this location, and he's awesome. He's got an approachable teaching style and great tips. He's also patient, which is perfect for beginners like me who are nervous about making fools of themselves. In the span of about six lessons, I've gone from a newbie to someone with a discernible swing. When I miss, I understand why and when I hit well it's usually a great shot. Oh boy this place was great. Service at the door was great...after a quick bite in the bar we got our bay and was greeted by David and Brooke. Me and the guys we're here for some work training from out of town and we quickly made friends with David because he really hooked it up for us and was very prompt about serving us. When he wasn't available Brooke kept checking on us to make sure we were okay. They were on point every night we were here which was the whole 4 day work trip. We were staying close which is why we kept coming back. We had a great experience and a great time here and I will go out of my way to come back to Chicago and play some Topgolf at Wood Dale. Came here on Saturday for my husbands birthday. We had a group of 6 and that was the perfect amount at one bay. We showed up around 11AM and had no problem getting a bay but I can see how later in the day there is a long wait as we never felt rushed to leave and stayed until 2PM. We ordered a bunch of food and drinks and everything was super tasty. I know nothing about golf and the workers were super helpful. Everyone working at Topgolf had amazing customer service skills. From the hostess to the person that gave us the golf clubs to our servers, outstanding. I suggest the nachos, the wings and the flatbread. I also suggest coming early unless you don't mind waiting. Fun but REALLY expensive. Trackers do not count scores or # of balls you hit with accuracy or consistency. Service in the 3rd level was poor and had to track down or server several times for more drinks. This was a lot of fun! It combines the activity of a driving range and includes games for all skill levels. Throw in drinks and food and you have an excellent time happening right in front of you. This review revolves around my experience at the front counter check in. The Wood Dale location differs from others in that their system is not linked up to the others in some way. I didn't understand it and we made our way to the assigned stall. After discovering how the cards do not work I approached the counter again and Agata (I think that is what she said) was again helping me. Agata was great considering how frustrated I was with the way this location differs from the others I have visited in other states. Agata took the time to explain how everything worked and printed us new cards that worked properly. She was very patient especially with how pissy I was getting. Agata was great and made my visit memorable. The other staff did a great job and everyone seems very friendly at this location. read more

Never have I ever thought I would do such a negative review on a place, however, I gave this place so many chances to redeem themselves throughout my visit, and sad to say, it was still a disappointment. First of all, the greeter at the podium was not welcoming. Instead she went straight to business and asked what floor we wanted... I will say though that we had a pleasant experience with the worker at the desk who set up our games, BUT the lady who was working beside her made a remark that rubbed us the wrong way. We mentioned how we were in the military and she made sure to make it clear that in order to get the discount we have to have our military ID on us.. duh! Why would we think otherwise? Then, we finally got to playing.. it took at least 15 minutes before a server came to take our drink orders.. which was then followed by another 15 minutes before we received those drinks.. mind you, we only ordered a water and lemonade :/ ... Giving them another chance, we put in an order for food.. we got our food in an okay amount of time, BUT, we were not given any silverware or napkins with our food. As if this wasn't bad enough, when we asked for the check.. a couple minutes later the server came back, not with the tab, but to ask me for my credit card again. Apparently my card wasn't swiped the first time I had given it to them. Overall, not the best experience, especially coming in with high expectations from another location.. but at least the lady at the desk was very helpful with the membership... and the signature nachos were yummy? Hopefully, we will have a better time in the future if we come back again but unfortunately I'm not sure if it's worth another hour-long drive. I'm very disappointed with my time, if you could even call it that, at topgolf. I made reservations for 9 pm. On my reservation it said nothing about needing to be 21 after 9 pm. However, upon arriving we were turned away, simply because of our age. We tried to call ahead to ask more questions, but we couldn't even get ahold with anyone. we were on hold for 20 minutes, so at that point it did not seem it worth it to continue trying to contact. Also, the woman at the front desk seemed to be inadequate. Finally, we were standing on the curb waiting to make new plans when we were asked to leave the premises. the audacity. the outside looked very cool, but as for the inside... This is my third time at Top Golf. I enjoy the idea of the place but think they need to upkeep the place better. The service was good to get our range spot and the girls that filled our cards and got my niece clubs. We got up to our spot on the third floor and we thought our table was going to fall apart. It was so wobbly. Next we tried to get our screen up better and realized the monitor was all jacked up. It worked so we kept going. We played three games and there were four of us so 240 balls. I would estimate that 20 didn't register for some reason. Doesn't sound like a lot but go play, it is a big deal. We heard of four or five others complaining about theirs too. Our waitress was just ok. She was attentive when she was around but we didn't see her a lot. The cheese fries were good, that is all we had for food. The beer was fine, prices what u would expect for a place like this. All in all, I will likely be back but hope that they do some maintenance and that everything works better. read more

This was one of the worst experiences. My group of 6 went to Top Golf Saturday night. The first person to arrive reserved a Bay at 6:40. The 5 others arrived & We were seated at the bar about 7:30 to wait for a Bay to open up which finally happened at 9 so during that time we had about 2-3 drinks each person and 3 different apps. We finally get started with golf at 9:30 and try to order our drinks and they cut the whole group off and refused to serve us. Our VERY young server called over his manager to tell us they were refusing to serve us. No one in my group was over served , that's ridiculous that we waited that long only to be kicked out. I will never go here or recommend this place to anyone. I tried to speak with another manager, who agreed that I clearly was not over served. No one in our group was. Went here Saturday night with a couple friends and had a blast! Spent $35 to have 6 hours of entertainment! Great place for any level golfer. Pros: It has great atmosphere. When you get there it is very clean and the staff is incredibly helpful. Music is playing and they even have bags, or corn hole depending where you are from, set up if you have to wait. Each station had a cocktail table for if you order food or drinks as well as a computer screen to show you the scores, how far your ball went and how close it came to the pin. The computer would also let you choose what kind o of game you wanted to play. They would vary from the standard TopGolf game where is is essentially darts for golf, but you could also play a long drive game, and a couple different chipping games as well as a target golf game where it would tell you what flag to aim for. The staff is always walking around making sure everyone had everything they needed. One time our computer screen went off and someone immediately came over to help us and had it fixed in 5 minutes and gave us two free games for the inconvenience! The food selection was much better than what I was expecting. I had a Turkey Avocado wrap that was delicious. They also had a great selection of beer and drink specials. Cons: I loved this place so it is hard to think of any Cons. If I had to pick anything I would say the mosquitoes can get bad at night, especially on the top level. However, they set up Tiki torches as well as bring a mosquito candle to each table that really help. The only other thing is sometimes the computer doesn't pick up where your ball landed. This also isn't a big deal though because you can go in and very easily manually put in the points you should have gotten. But this very rarely happened. TopGolf is the kind of place that everyone can have fun at. Good golfers will enjoy the challenge of getting as many points as possible and then seeing how they rank up to everyone else who played that day and bad golfers will have a blast because the way the range is set up you can score points off of bad shots. It is also the kind of place you could bring the family to, have a company outing or even a bachelor party. Overall, I had a blast and can't wait to go back many many more times!!! read more
