This time I was in here for the shepherd's pie. From being here before, I'd seen someone else order it and noticed it comes in a mini cast iron; he serving option alone is already promising. The ground meat below was cooked hot with smoke, and every bite was hearty and rich, with noticeable touches of herb. I don't like peas, so the shepherd's pie here coming with carrots instead makes it even better for me, and the crispy shallots on top give an occasional crunch. So far I've tried three dishes here, and I've been happy with all of them. These dishes are the kind I'd come back for, but this really solidifies the impression that most, if not all, of the menu would be worth trying. The food lacked freshness, and certain items tasted like they had been pre-prepared or sitting out for too long. I recently visited Topgolf Tampa for my birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was far from enjoyable. Due to pouring rain, my group and I arrived five minutes late to our bay reservation. Immediately, we began receiving calls from the staff threatening to give away our bays if we didn't show up immediately, with no mention of a refund or any consideration for the weather conditions. When we arrived, we asked if we could reduce our reservation from two bays to one since part of our party couldn't make it. Instead of accommodating our request, we were told we'd still have to pay for both bays, even if we only used one. A manager named Adella was called over, and from the moment she approached us, it was clear she was unwilling to help. She robotically repeated the same three sentences, showing no empathy or willingness to address our concerns. It was disheartening to see such a lack of customer service, especially knowing it was a birthday celebration. To make matters worse, after speaking with us, Adella approached our server and began talking to him while pointing in our direction. Although we couldn't hear what was being said, it was clear it wasn't positive since our server didn't return to our table for the rest of the night. It's sad to see that her poor customer service was passed down to others. Finally, when we asked for her name, she sarcastically replied, "Adella, double L. Make sure you spell it right," as if she knew she wouldn't face any consequences for her actions. Given that they had a waitlist, allowing us to drop down to one bay would have benefited both parties, yet they refused to show any flexibility. This experience nearly ruined what was supposed to be a special day, and I'm incredibly disappointed with the service we received at Topgolf Brandon. I hope they can improve their customer service and handle similar situations more considerately in the future. For now, I won't be coming back and encourage other to do the same. read more

Topgolf in Tampa is a golfer's paradise conveniently located on Palm River Road. Founded in 2000 by twin brothers Steve and Dave Jolliffe, this innovative sports entertainment venue has revolutionized the traditional driving range experience. The purpose of Topgolf is to blend socializing with golfing, creating an inclusive space where everyone, from seasoned players to first-timers, can enjoy the game in a lively atmosphere. Unlike traditional golf clubs, Topgolf does not require membership and welcomes all visitors. My recent experience at Topgolf was exceptional. On a bustling Wednesday evening, my colleagues and I, in town for a meeting, chose Topgolf for our evening entertainment. Despite the weekday rush, our advance reservation ensured a smooth entry. The staff greeted us warmly and promptly escorted us to our designated area. I was immediately struck by the cleanliness and upkeep of the venue. Topgolf Tampa is immaculately maintained, which added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The driving range itself is impressive, boasting numerous sprawling targets and a variety of engaging games to keep things exciting. The food we ordered was delicious, offering a diverse selection that catered to everyone's tastes. The open bar setup was a hit, further enhancing our experience. One of the best aspects of Topgolf is the convenience--it's a one-stop shop for golfing entertainment. No need to bring your clubs; everything required to play is provided on-site. Although our visit extended longer than planned (almost four hours!), cutting into my sightseeing time in Tampa, it was entirely worth it. The fun-filled atmosphere and fantastic service at Topgolf make it a must-visit spot, whether you're a golf enthusiast or just looking for a great time. I highly recommend it with a glowing 5-star rating. read more

I'm one of the few people who comes to Topgolf exclusively for the food. On this particular Saturday afternoon, my wife and I were able to seat ourselves immediately, which has typically been the case. We love the large variety on the menu, and we decided to choose some appetizers to share: hummus trio, mushi, chicken nachos and pretzel bites. Love this combination of flavors. And there was more than enough for two to share. The pretzel bites were salty, warm, and soft, yet with enough skin so they are not confused with sliced bread sticks, as pretzel apps are at other places. Mushi was a wonderful mixture of warm chicken, beans, cilantro and rice, shaped into bite-size pieces. Nicely done. The chicken nachos were meaty morsels placed perfectly on crisp nachos--no dipping required. The hummus trio featured a nice combination of dipping options, from soft bread to raw veggies. So what's not to like? Nothing, if you don't mind a little noise and you're in no hurry. The noise doesn't bother me because I know it's a bar atmosphere with people constantly coming and going. The slow service is more frustrating. Every time we go it takes us at least 10 minutes before a waitress recognizes us. And this visit was no exception. Our food came to our table relatively quickly, but my Diet Coke glass sat empty for entirely too long before someone filled it. And then there was the challenge of getting our server back to cash us out. All in all it was a good experience that could have been so much better. read more

A Hole-in-One Experience at Top Golf! I recently attended a private catered work event at Top Golf, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us warmly and were incredibly attentive throughout the evening. The golf bays were spacious and well-maintained, making it easy to focus on having fun and improving my swing. Even as someone who's not an avid golfer, I found it engaging and easy to get into the game thanks to the user-friendly interface. Now, let's talk about the food--absolutely stellar. The catering service went above and beyond, offering a diverse spread that catered to all dietary needs. Whether it was the mouthwatering sliders or the scrumptious vegan options, the quality of the food was top-notch. The overall atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, making it the perfect backdrop for team bonding and letting off some steam after work. A big shout-out to the event coordinator who made sure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to focus solely on enjoying ourselves. All in all, Top Golf exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a venue that combines fun, excellent service, and delectable food, look no further. I'll definitely be back, whether it's for work or just a weekend outing with friends. I've been to quite a few Topgolf locations now, and it never fails to be a great time. So far, the Michigan location is probably still my favourite, but this Tampa location was a lot of fun too. I've said it before and I'll say it again: you do not need to be a golfer to enjoy Topgolf. Whether you're a regular golfer, someone who only plays a few times a year, or someone who's never picked up a club before, you're still going to have an absolute blast. The games are easy to learn, competitive, and fun for all skill levels. The food and drinks are always a highlight too. We really enjoy the margaritas whenever we visit, and the menu has plenty of great options to snack on while you play. One thing we liked about the Tampa location was the addition of the soccer target net, which adds another fun challenge. That said, I still have to give the edge to the Michigan location because I absolutely loved the field goal target they had there. Overall, Topgolf continues to be one of our favourite activity spots. Great food, great drinks, and a guaranteed good time no matter your golfing ability. I've been coming to Topgolf since they first opened in 2015, back when my old work team and I made it almost a monthly tradition. Over the years, I've probably been here more than 20 times, and it never disappoints! When they first opened, it was tough to get a reservation because the place was always packed. But now, whether we're celebrating my sons birthdays, getting together with friends, or hosting a work event, it's easy to secure a bay. The service has always been efficient, and the overall experience keeps us coming back. The atmosphere is especially great during Florida winters - nothing beats enjoying a round of games with the cool weather. The food is more of a bite-sized, shareable style, with options like pretzels, wings, fried mac & cheese balls, nachos, and flatbreads. It's not a full-on dining experience, but it complements the fun, social vibe. What I like most about Topgolf is that it's a blast for all ages. Whether you're a little kid, an adult, or someone who has never picked up a golf club, it's all about having fun. You don't need to be a pro - there are plenty of game options. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a good time! read more

fun exciting quick and easy place to playThe good: the golf experience it self is very fun and unique. The bay's are large enough that you don't feel crowded or right on top of your neighbor. It's good no matter what the weather as it's covered. The bad: it drives me insane that you can't bring a drink in. More over, they have people standing outside to enforce this rule. I'm coming to your establishment and am going to spend a minimum of $40 an hour to rent a bay, is it really that big of a deal if I bring in a $4 coffee and finish it? Odds are I'll finish it and buy something else from you. For that reason I try not to buy food or drink here, so for me at least that rule back fires on them. There can also be a bit of a wait and they do not take reservations, unless you pay for it somehow, in addition to the actual rental fee. The food I have eaten is decent, nothing to make a special trip for but it could be worse. place is a go to spot if your with your friends read more

Top golf was ok. To start the "bouncers" at the front wouldn't let me walk in with my brand new cup of coffee that I had bought to help with the fact I was golfing on a Saturday morning... not cool.. the cooling fans were the only saving grace otherwise I would completely soaked through my shirt in sweat. Our booth was double booked so we had to have an awkward convo with the other group who was waiting for the same booths...not cool. We golfed a bit. Food was good but pricey. It felt more like a night club with golf rather than a golf place with drinks. Spent a lot for a Saturday golfing. Probably going to stick with the traditional methods from now on. read more

We ordered food from their permanent food truck on site and it was REALLY good. I ordered the Ribs, wings, collards, and baked beans. Right on the backside of a decent gathering area that has multiple food and drink options that most would enjoy next to the Bay Area of Tampa. Splitsville has an interesting selection of food ranging from bar food to sushi with a list of fun drinks to choose from. The wife and I split the BBQ chicken pizza and both got our own frozen drink. I got the blue wave mixed with piña colada's. Sweet but refreshing for the hot day that it was. Pizza was the perfect size for both of us to share 2, slices for the misses and 4 for me! Great flavor and breading was just right. We ended up getting a lane for an hour or so that was fun. We didn't run into a few issues with the machine not resetting properly and had to get help a few time but staff was great and was able to fix it quickly. Don't feel like we got the whole time because of this but we had fun still. Again love the location as it has both inside and outside seating. Staff will come to you for food and drinks. Location has about 15 lanes and then a few other off lane locations with side games. Don't get a chance to roam around but overall a decent size location and the some with the outside area. If we are to have another work event with more people this might be the locations.

Not amazing, not horrible.

The restaurant is very quaint and had a very relaxed feel and nice decor. The gentleman who was serving us, was excellent. Very friendly, not rushed and did not make us feel rushed. The food was excellent. I had the French dip, my wife had the buffalo chicken flatbread and our friend who joined us had the buffalo chicken bowl. The French dip was super tender, very flavorful and the home made chips it came with should be mass produced and sold. My wife's flatbread was so good. Thin crust, great flavor, the chicken had an excellent crunch and very flavorful. A friend salad was such a big portion that she took half home and the chicken she had in her bowl was crunchy and flavorful, and the french fries came with were very crispy and very good. This will definitely become one of our routine go to spots in the area. So glad we finally made it to this restaurant.

I was able to order a sirloin and eggs, plenty of protein to start my day. Ashley was working this morning and was very happy to share some news of their uniquely delicious dessert options. If you are a dessert person and dine out then you know how boring it can't be in the Tampa area. You get the same old lava cake, key lime pie, Apple something with caramel drenched on it and the peanut butter pie and cheesecake. Well finally the Bistro decided to take it up a notch and get a lemon cello cake, a chocolate torte. So for a short time if one of these desserts appeals to you hurry over before they are gone. Ambiance is casual and open lots of seating options from booths to high tops to regular tables and bar seating too. Service is also very good your greeted with a smile and when it's busy you still get a acknowledgement.

Good food, immersive environment, smooth jazz-yes, this was worth growing up for. Joia is comfy and casual enough for the family-but also sleek and sophisticated enough for date night or girls night out. It has a roomy bar area to the left when you come in, with extra high tops. I almost sat there-but since it was my first visit, I opted for the dining room-which is actually several different areas, making the space even more inviting and sort of intimate. I'm clearly crushing on the vibe of this place... and the food lives up to the atmosphere. The complimentary bread is so tasty you don't even need the oil and spices that come with it, but they're tasty, too. I came hungry and ordered the fried cheese as an app. It's excellent... pillowy bites with soft, super shredded cheese on top (like snow). Ohhhh, so good. Now, I'll admit, I was full after this. But Joia has been on my list for *years... and I didn't want to risk not getting the chicken piccata. Ohhhh, I'm so glad I did! It comes with mushrooms and spaghetti with the same lemon sauce. So, so good. My server Sheila was excellent-so friendly and easy to talk to. She made me feel like a regular-and knows the menu inside out. They have a 2-for-1 martini special, Tuesday-Friday, 4-7. Parking is plentiful (Joia is in a shopping plaza, at 301 and Gibsonton) and there's covered patio seating. The live music was so smooth and just the right volume. Honestly, I can't wait to go back. It feels like a special occasion going there, but it's not priced that way. I've gotta bring friends and family here... often.
