    1 star. We purchased…read more2 vehicles from Hamburg Motors, and both ended up having serious issues requiring engine replacement. That alone should have been enough warning. Do not trust anything Terry says. While one of the vehicles was at West Herr Hyundai getting a new engine installed, their technicians informed us that the vehicle also had a broken coil spring and a broken stabilizer link. Terry was told about this and said to just bring him the receipt for the repairs. When we brought Terry the receipt, he suddenly said he didn't know which account David Chaplin wanted it charged to, so we left the receipt with him. When we returned, Terry's entire attitude changed after David decided he would not cover the repairs. The only reason I am giving 1 star instead of 0 is because David did cover the towing cost for the vehicle. My advice to anyone considering buying from Hamburg Motors: take the vehicle immediately to a trusted garage and have it fully inspected by a mechanic you trust. Do not rely on their word alone. Also, NYS will investigate any shop that willfully passes a vehicle inspection improperly for up to 6 months from the date of purchase. Keep your bill of sale, get a written quote for the faulty parts, make sure you get pictures of the damaged parts, and file a VS-35 form with the NYS DMV if needed. This vehicle should never have passed a New York State inspection.

I had been driving a rental car while looking for a replacement car, because this Explorer was not ready to take home yet, Dave offered to pay two more days of my rental car until I could pick it up; this did not happen, just empty words on his part. I had a decent sized down payment and when I asked what the total was and how much was being financed, he gave me an amount and said that includes a two year warranty. You sign everything on an ipad these days so it wasn't until days later when I read the email sent to me that there was no warranty included, he charged me $1895 for a two-year warranty. Never asked if I wanted to buy a warranty, told me it was included and then added it to the purchase price. To date, I still have no paperwork on a warranty, what it covers or does not cover, who its with, what to do if I need to use it, ectera. The next day, Saturday the 23rd, he told me I could come Tuesday the 26th to pick up the Explorer. On Tuesday, I called three times to see when it would be ready for pick up. By this time I had to turn the rental car back in so I had to Uber to the lot to pick up the Explorer. Finally on the 3rd call, I was told to come after 3:30 p.m. to pick up the car. I get there after 3:30 p.m. and told I can't have the Explorer today as there is a huge crack on the windshield right in front of the driver seat. There was no crack when I test drove it Friday. Now, I question if there was even a crack in it on Tuesday. So I took an Uber for nothing. He did give me a loaner for this one night so I could drive home and drive back the next day to pick up the car. Dave seemed super nice, but now knowing he added a almost $2K item onto the cost without even asking, I feel duped and would not go back there or recommend anyone to his sales lot.

In October 2021, I was in the market to buy a new vehicle, but the specific one I wanted, Toyota RAV4 Prime, is not sold in the state I live in. Due to supply chain issues and production, RAV4 Primes are extremely hard to find. Most dealers that I called are only selling them to local in-state residents or adding huge markups (~ 5 to 10K or more!). The few Toyota dealerships that do sell to out of state residents AND at MSRP generally have really long waitlist (6 months or more). I chatted with Patrick at West Herr in late October and he said that they could sell me a Prime at MSRP but the wait could be 4 - 6 months if I was set on a specific color, but it could be sooner if I was flexible on color. He was friendly, professional, and 100% transparent and honest from the 1st time I chatted with him. On November 11, about 3 weeks after I left my initial deposit, I received a call from Patrick asking if I was open to the silver/black color and that the vehicle was set to arrive in early December. My wife and I decided that the silver/black color was fine. Patrick was also helpful in adding / removing options/accessories that I did not want. The best part of the whole experience was that there were no surprise dealer add-ons, packages, markups, etc. This was my first time buying a vehicle out-of-state and having it shipped and Patrick and West Herr Toyota Orchard Park made me feel comfortable throughout the entire buying experience. He was very communicative and gave me updates on ETA, took photos of the vehicle when it came in. The paperwork to sign and buy the car was still done on paper and sent via FedEx. The only way I think it could be faster is if that was moved to digital/DocuSign. Nonetheless, the whole process was relatively quick and easy. Patrick even came in on his dayoff, December 24th, when the dealership was closed, so that he could meet the truck driver and load up my RAV4 Prime. The vehicle was delivered on 12/30 and my wife and I are extremely satisfied with the vehicle and the service we received from Patrick and the staff at West Herr Toyota Orchard Park.

When i called them, they were trying to price parts for services i did not need and which were not covered under the warranty, and they did not even fix the problem that was causing my car to have the check engine light on that was covered under the warranty. The female manager would not talk to me when i asked for a manager. I had to complain to the corporate headquarters for them to do anything. Later i got a call from my brother-in-law who works for a different West Herr telling me to back off and quit complaining, and he was not even involved with the service. The female manager told him to tell me to quit complaining. When i finally got my car back, a higher up manager then banned me from coming back to any West Herr, but he did not even inform me of that. I found out 2 months later when another check engine light turned on and tried to schedule service. He would not even give me a reason for banning me in writing or verbally on the phone. All he did was text me that I was banned and did not state the specific reason, nor would he give me one in writing when I asked for it. He just said that I was no longer welcome there. I said and did nothing to warrant that. And nothing they will not honor any warranties that i received from previous work. So be careful about going to West Herr if they do something wrong and you complain, they will ban you!

    Misleading, Dishonest, and Stressful -- Beware Before Buying Here!…read more In January 2025, my husband and I purchased a 2024 Lexus TX 500h F Sport Premium AWD (VIN# 5TDABAB69RS004225) from Superior Auto Sales, and the entire experience--from purchase to resolution--was appalling, deceitful, and incredibly stressful. Despite the listing advertising shipping, we were told last minute that the vehicle could not be shipped. At 7 months pregnant, I flew to Buffalo with my husband to complete the purchase and then drove 400 miles back home. Within days, we discovered multiple issues: a faulty dashboard, non-functional driving modes, A/C problems, missing safety features, a malfunctioning screen, and more. We were told the vehicle was under warranty, so we took it to our local Lexus dealership. After four months of ongoing troubleshooting, parts replacements, and escalations--including expert Lexus technicians being flown in--we discovered the truth: this was a Canadian vehicle with unauthorized electrical modifications made by Superior Auto Sales. These modifications were never disclosed at the time of purchase, which voided the Lexus warranty in the U.S. According to Lexus USA, only Lexus Canada might be able to service this car due to the tampering. Throughout these months, the Izzo family (Rick, Nick, and Sarah) repeatedly misled us and our local dealership, and refused to take accountability. Their communication was evasive, disrespectful, and unprofessional--often rude and defensive, even after the truth was exposed by Lexus technicians. Only after being confronted with undeniable evidence did Superior Auto Sales agree to buy back the vehicle, 5 months later...Even then, they expected us to make the return trip with a newborn and toddler in a defective vehicle --a final insult after months of wasted time, financial burden (payments, insurance), and emotional distress. To make matters worse, we have since seen this same vehicle listed again for sale, without disclosure of its Canadian origin, history of modifications, or the fact that it has no U.S. warranty. The listing even misstates the number of prior owners. This dealership knowingly sells misrepresented vehicles, hides crucial information, and engages in unethical practices. Lexus USA has confirmed that this specific vehicle is not covered under warranty in the U.S.

Trade in and purchase went fairly well. Was put off to find a 1/2 tank of gas when I picked it up. Though that was a little cheesy. Never got the door code, nor the key for the bed cover lock. Reached out to Rich at least 2 times regarding some suspension noises. Kept hearing that service will reach out to set something up. Still waiting. At this point I'm just going to chalk it up to what I guess I was expecting of this place before becoming a customer.​​​​ Hard pressed to recommend to another.
