Not sure about dinning at this locations but the delivery sucked. i've ordered alot of pizza's in my life and this was the first time i had to direct the pizza guy, turn by turn to my home. I have been to many toppers with in the Ventura County area. I have to say the delivery at this location leaves a lot to be desired. We order frequently for work and it has become more of a hassle to order then to go outside of the area to get lunch. The delivery person during the day is rude or grumpy can't tell and there is constantly a debate about whether or not they will deliver to us... we are across the street! I just hope that management is reading these, because if this was my first impression of Toppers I would never go back. read more

I will not be conducting business with this location again strictly because of how incompetent the management is. I placed my order they told it would be out in 30 minutes took an hour to get to me it was barely warm. I called them to let them know that my pizza took way too long to get to me. I was helped my some guy posing as the store manager who couldn't even get my order right. Then I was helped by the assistant manager who was also clueless about customer service. Finally I spoke to Kenny which he offered me a 6 dollar store credit despite the fact I had 45 dollars and the fact that someone answered the phone claiming to be someone he wasn't. I can only imagine this would be a great place to go for a NFL or NBA game. Pizza and sports is just about the greatest combination ever. I got the chance to try this place out while visiting my friend stationed on the naval base at port hueneme. I was expecting a normal pizza chain with limited choices, but was surprised by the offerings this local chain had. There were many out-of-the-ordinary choices. The two I got to try were:the creamy garlic chicken and buffalo chicken. The creamy garlic was good but nothing mindblowing, and the buffalo chicken was delicious. Definitely get the buffalo chicken if you decide to come here and want to try one thing. Between the three of us eating, a large probably would have been enough. I'm a say it. Toppers sucks now!! They've gone down hill from what they used to be. I've eaten toppers since I was a kid and I'm ready to give up on it. ANY time I order a pizza and it's a Med or Large it comes SOGGY AND UNDERCOOKED in the middle! I have to throw the pizza in my oven to finish cooking it. I've complained so many times and even tried to call and ask for them to cook it longer and they refuse. Dominos disappoints me too but I only lose 6$ and not 21$. read more

Favorite pizza place for years!!! Hadn't reviewed it but I just really wanted to commend and tell everyone about a young man that works there, always cheerful, genuine, happy to be working there. My hubby and kids noticed so I decided to re download app and tell you. I hope you appreciate your employees, especially Ismael. He helped at the register, assisted a few more guests, delivered our food, delivered desserts, picked stuff up off tables all with a smile that we hadn't seen in a long time anywhere. It's a tradition. We camp at Sycamore Canyon every year and the one meal we eat out is here. Never been disappointed. Good pizza. Salad bar. Seating for large groups. And someone else cooks and cleans for me. Will keep the tradition alive and be back next year. read more

Pizza and sandwiches were amazing but customer service wasn't. I don't expect you to kiss my feet when I come in but I do expect to be treated with politeness especially if I haven't been rude. Cashier by the name Ayde didn't bother coming to the cashier until a manager noticed we were standing there waiting. When she took our order she was very rude like she had somewhere better to be. Girl you're working this is your job now please stop being rude. After I told her my pizza I wanted she just stared at me like "okay are you done" didn't offer any drinks or salads I just wanted to get out of that order so I didn't order anything else. Would have gotten 5/5 stars but it was a bad customer experience. Might have to check out different Toppers location since this was not the only time I've experienced rudeness. read more

The pizza is the best. But I noticed employees holding breadsticks with their bear hands after they came out of the oven. When I asked them is that was a normal practice, they said yes. They said "Don't worry our hands are clean." I don't know about you but I don't want anyone handling my food with there bare hands right before it goes into my mouth. Toppers in general is amazing, I love their pulled pork sandwich, poppers, and pizza. I'm giving it a 3 star though because their delivery time is horrible (even though I live 5 mins away). Their pizza was so awesome! I had my doubts considering a lot of California's take on major foods/cuisines hasn't been my cup of tea. (Not that it's bad, they just emphasize flavors that I'm not to used to. My in-laws live in Oxnard so I have been visiting the area since the early 90's. Long before Toppers made it to Simi Valley, I was a long-time fan. We've ordered from this Toppers too many times to count over the past 20 plus years and they never disappoint with their great pizza. We always order take out or delivery, so I can't really comment on dining inside, but when picking up at this location, the service has always been quick and the young people working here have always been friendly. I have only ordered delivery twice here and twice carry out. Nothing is really wrong with this Topper's. I think location wise is very lacking. It is a dine in like all other Topper's but I wouldn't choose this location to dine in. The area is definitely an older feel and definitely not that "fancier" dine in type that you would want. They need to put brighter lights so their place doesn't look old and musty. It is more of a carryout delivery only type of place and not a dine in. You want a nicer place pick either the one on Gonzales or the one with the view of sunset an water (harbor)! I don't like ordering from this Topper's period but when we need Topper's delivery, we have no choice. They need a renovation of some sort badly. read more

There is no substitute, none, i would say after all the pizza places i have ventured around the world from Asia to across America, Toppers, stands alone. The one on Saviers Road is tasty and location doesn't matter, i would go here for lunch since it was the closest to my work, If Toppers was located in some boonied out jungle with booby-traps, i would find a way to make it there, and bring a box back for to-go just because once you inhale a large awesome mouth watering peperoni pizza, you will be feigning for more. Found a dead bug in my romaine salad mix. It must of been a bug that died from pesticides when picked. Seems that toppers didn't wash their veggies appropriately. All they did was take out the bowl of salad an exchange it for a new one. Nobody wanted their salad mix after that. Pizza was pretty good. I'm from the east coast and we do not have this pizza place. During my visit here to CA, my cousin offered me a slice. Asked if I wanted toppers? I was like "if I want what? What is that?" Lol. Him and his girlfriend are like toppers. I'm still like huh not noticing the box of pizza there. He then realized I'm not from there and clicked that in MD we don't have one.
