Good pizza. Better than dominos or Pizza Hut or hungry Howies. Lots of peparoni yummie

I loved that they had an outdoor ordering window, so you could order and then sit at a table outside and wait for your name to be called. No need to go inside and wait to be seated, which was perfect for a quick lunch. We got the pickle poppers and the Nashville Hottie, and oh my goodness. That Nashville Hottie will go down as one of our top Nashville hot sandwiches ever. It may not be a traditional Nashville hot, but the flavor is absolutely phenomenal. It's ginormous, messy, and loaded with sauces that complement each other so well. Your first bite gives you a little sweetness, and then that heat starts to kick in, followed by all the other flavors coming together. So, so good! There's also a pimento-cheese-style sauce that comes with it, and that just takes everything over the top. And the pickle poppers were an experience all on their own. They were hot, crunchy, and delicious. I was worried they might have too much cheese inside, but the ratio was actually perfect. And of course, the pickles themselves were fabulous. The service was great too. The girl working was super friendly, and even though the lunch line started getting HUGE, they moved everyone through quickly and got the food out fast. Highly recommend! If you're in Grand Haven, definitely give this place a try. Just be prepared for a crowd around lunchtime!

We really wanted to love Blue Porch and tried it three times but this visit had problems from start…read moreto finish. Service was slow out of the gate -- despite our waiter hanging out with a table he clearly knew. Food didn't fare much better. We ordered the smash burger, which by definition should come with cheese and smash sauce -- that's the whole point of a smash burger, not an add-on. Ours came with neither, and even though it had two patties, we had to pay extra just to add a single slice of cheese. It was incredibly dry, even after adding that cheese and trying table condiments to compensate. The chicken tenders looked appetizing but the chicken itself was stringy and overcooked. Dessert was the low point. We ordered the Oreo cheesecake bites and waited over 20 minutes, only to be served what was essentially liquid pudding in a shooter glass with whipped cream on top. Our server admitted, "I didn't know I was supposed to make it" -- it seems the dessert needed time to set in the fridge and was served before it was ready. While we were waiting we heard another table complaining. The server responded "chill. It's all good". The table responded "actually it's not all good!" Three strikes and we're out. We won't be back.

I grew up eating at this pizza place. I have been going here for almost 30 years. A few years ago…read morethe original owners decided to sell. It was shuttered for almost a year while the new owners learned the ropes and renovated the business. When it finally reopened my friends and I could hardly wait. They went first and their report back left much to be desired. They just said it's not right. They said they would give it a second try so we all went. I ordered my usual large pepperoni pizza with extra sauce and my friend ordered the super sub. The crust in the pizza was dead on, but the sauce was totally wrong. The flavor was way off and it ruined the entire pizza. My friend said the super sub was completely different. The ham was wrong and the bun was different. I asked if the new owner was there and they said yes. She came out and we talked. We both told her what she thought and she seemed genuinely surprised. She said that her husband worked for months with the previous owners to learn the recipes the exact way they prepared them. I just reiterated that it was somehow different. Then came the bombshell. She said "well they are exactly the same, but we are using higher quality ingredients." I don't know where she learned the English language because that's not exact if you changed the ingredients. She said we use "a higher quality sauce" and now the buns come from a different bakery. So basically they changed everything and claim it's the same. I continued to monitor facebook for several months to see if other customers had the same experience and sure enough every now and then people would point out it wasn't the same. At one point I added a comment and just said "I wish they would go back to the original sauce". To which the owner promptly responded "it's exactly the same only higher quality". She then arrogantly blocked me on Facebook. I will not go back to this restaurant until they change their sauce back or change owners. They are rude and dishonest.

We tried the 50 Club and the Tony Subprano and both were very, very good. We also tried the Porky Mac Balls and they were delightful. We did carry out and our order came out quickly. I don't remember if Mama Mia's ever had a dining area, but Mia's does now. I used to get Mama Mia's Pizza Sub, so I asked if they still carried that and they pointed out that the Pizza Sub on the menu is Mama Mia's original recipe, so while we didn't order that this time, I have eaten enough of those to recommend them as well. Thanks for keeping it on the menu! Great job!
