I wanna taco bout how Torchy knows tacos. I went here before a concert, craving some guacamole and this place did not disappoint. I can't recall what exactly I ordered, but it was some bowl with cilantro rice, guacamole, corn, and chicken tendies, and damn they were splendie! The bowl had a lil kick of heat, but not enough to warrant a call to the fire dept. For dessert, I got the churros and if I won the lotto, I'd request churros on order. They were crispy on the outside, with just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. They also came with dulce de leche sauce, which I didn't have since I ordered to go and ate alone in my car outside of hobby lobby like the loner I am. I should have parked and ate on the patio, but I was afraid of the other mom's meeting for book club. Service was wonderful. I ordered online and was able to utilize the convenient pick up window. The staff was so kind and full of spunk. The serve told me "I was serving" and I said, "no gurl, you're serving!!! Yaaas. But actually, you are serving my tacos lol." Obviously since I didn't eat in, I can't rate the bathrooms, but I'd assume they're fine. You'll have to look for a different recipe. Anyways, I Now Tac-know this place smacks! I think it might be better than chipotle, but give me a few hours to ensure I don't end up with food poisoning and then we'll really re-assess. And if you're on a diet, still, get the damn churros. We ordered via Ubereats and the driver forgot to bring our drinks. Uber wouldn't refund my margarita order because I wouldn't let the driver scan my id card because he didn't deliver the alcoholic beverages. Torchy's however let us come pick up the drinks. So Torchy's Tacos is a chain from Texas and I guess known for their queso, or at least that's what my friend likes best from there. Its a casual restaurant and you order at the counter and grab your food. I came for a happy hour with friends and their happy hour menu isn't really exciting. Just a dollar or two off of drinks, nothing to write home about. I got a passionfruit frozen margarita and it was fine but nothing amazing. Tacos were $5-6 and not very large or inventive enough to justify the cost, imo. Overall, this will probably be a pass for me in the future. With so many options around, its hard to justify spending so much on something so average. read more

Stopped in with a few coworkers for lunch and to try a new to me taco place. We shared the Hillbilly queso which was great: melty, flavorful, and the chorizo was a nice addition. I ordered 2 tacos which would be my recommendation as they're larger than Condado or Local Cantina's tacos. One was the Democrat and the other was the December taco of the month with shrimp. The protein portions in both were excellent and the ingredients tasted very fresh. There were multiple things on the menu I'd like to try, with a large variety of different taco ingredients present. My coworker ordered ones of the salads and the portion for that was also large, with plenty of toppings and a good amount of chicken. You order at the register and your meal is then brought to your table. We didn't get a chance to dry the bar, but the drink menu looked good. It finally opened! Lol. It does remind me of the original Torchys I had in Austin at the OG food truck location. They were very well staff, assuming due to corporate presence and trainers for the opening. Food had great flavor, fresh ingredients, and well made. The chips/salsa is a huge portion. We shared the roja salsa and it had a pretty good heat to it and we like spice. Was a little overpowering but good. We each had two tacos. As noted above the flavors were great. My one star deduction is one I often experience. The tacos are just way overstuffed and pretty messy to try and eat. Personal peeve and preference. read more

So let me first say that I believe in redemption, 2nd chances as the first time simpmy wasn't impressive...were they a little busy, yes, but usually that means even fresher food, which was not the case. We went soon after it opened at 10 am. So being the only customers is my only caveat. The place was spacious and clean. The two service people who I interacted with were friendly, helpful and knew their menus. I got green chili pork tacos and a steak fajita. The portions were nice (2 is sufficient for a man), the ingredients fresh, there was a polish to the flavors and I wish my stomach was larger. I favor the pork tacos better but that is a matter of preference and not a slam on the steak, which was also delicious. AND they have adult beverages. If I had to force myself to ding the place, there was only one location for trash, but that left more room for tables and they certainly deserve the additional custom. Nah, never again. I've heard a lot about Torchy's from Texans, and I don't get it. Start with the fact that three tacos runs you $19 before tip. Once we were seated, we all had buzzers to show when our orders were ready. Yet once it was time for the food to come out, the server would come around with plates and then mumble the names of the tacos, all of which have long and quirky names you've already forgotten by now. Why do we have buzzers if you are going to do this? What are you buzzing? Or maybe just say the number that's on the buzzer? No. Again and again, the mumbler went back to the kitchen to get the number and then came back to our table with an increasing degree of sass. I'm not one to complain about service. I just want good food. But this was ridiculous. You're the ones who gave us the technology to use, YOU DIDN'T USE IT, and then your server treated us like morons. Nah -- I'm good. And on top of that, the tacos were all too dry and very reliant on salsa as a crutch. Like I said: never again. Life is way too short for overpriced and mediocre Mexican food. read more

Some of my friends love Torchys. They've had it in other cities ie. Denver and Austin. While the location in Polaris has been there a while, I was waiting for this one to open. My friend told me it's very much like Condado. The tacos are heavy. Eating one will pretty much do the job. And she recommended I order the Diablo queso. I decided to get two tacos just to try more things on the menu. I also got a half order of chips with the Diablo queso. Really nice that they have the half order option! The tacos I got were the Tipsy chick and the Naughty Santa, which was the taco of the month for December. They were both really good! And hefty as my friend said! They weren't stingy on the meat! The queso wasn't that spicy but it had a really nice mixture of flavors. Definitely something I'd order again! I was really impressed with the tacos! Can't wait to try again! read more

Mannnnnn. Let me start by saying this was my first experience with Torchys taco, and it won't be my last. The service and ambiance were great, good for dinning in. The tacos were close to amazing. The chicken was so tender paired with greenery in the spinach and shredded cheese. But the game changer was the maple bacon syrup that's topped with it. What I love...everything tastes so fresh. From the chips and salsa to the flour tortillas which taste homemade, everything is delicious. I've had 3 of the salsas and each was unique and yummy. Yesterday I tried the burrito for the first time and it won't be my last! I could not eat the whole thing it was so big. Definitely a value! Also love the fact they have containers readily available for you to take leftovers (such as the large amount of salsa they give). What I'm not crazy about but will still go back. I'd like a few more chips for the amount of salsa you get. The salsa is so tasty but no way you could eat it all with the chips that come with the order. The single tacos...don't get me wrong, they are delicious but they are also pricey. Two tacos for $13 is a little steep. What I'm looking forward to...trying out Happy Hour! read more

Earned a promo for a free queso and chips (just download and use the app), so decided to give Torchy's Tacos Dublin a whirl. Knowing absolutely nothing about them I wasn't sure what to expect. Pleasantly surprised how great everything was. The queso app is unique and craveable. It features toppings of Cotija, Cilantro, Guacamole, and Diablo hot sauce. It has a kick to it that I really love. Big bag of fresh tortilla chips, shown is a 1/2 order and it was plenty big. Could make it a meal itself. My main was the Republican Taco. Pico di gallo, Diablo hot sauce, Mixed Cheese, and a Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage wrapped in a Flour Tortilla. The sausage was outstanding, and its natural casing gave it some snap when you bite on it. Some pickled jalapeños would have only made it better. They say the Churros are made from scratch and i can believe it. Crunchy in the outside, softer on the inside. Served with a side of creamy Dulce de leche, and liberally dusted with Cinnamon Sugar. I'll be reheating the leftovers in the air fryer for a tasty snack tonight. I did takeout but the inside is quite livable. Only thing I questioned is the abundance of packaging materials. Probably could have gotten away with one or two less bags. Second time I have been to this location and did not disappoint. The queso is delicious and has a nice kick. The tacos we tried and liked: green chili pork missionary style, naughty Santa and my 8 year old loved the green chili pork and he was a bigger fan of the tomatillo sauce that came with the taco. Non taco orders were a pork burrito which the person who ordered liked and steak quesadillas off the children's menu. The boy said the steak was good but was more interested in having another green chili pork taco. It's is a counter service restaurant that brings the food to you, the line can be long but moves fairly quick. It is loud in there with the high ceilings but that did not bother us. Clean restaurant. Friendly, hard working staff and hope they keep that up! Definitely worth checking out! read more

The good: Fast and friendly service, I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. Fun atmosphere, and not super crowded at noon on a weekday. Food quality was great. Everything tasted and looked like it was made fresh. What I would improve: Portion sizes. I am not a big eater, but these tacos seemed somewhat small for their price. I think the 5/6 dollars they charge for a small tortilla, chicken finger, and a few toppings, to be a little bit steep. I think that 4-4.50 would be more fair considering how much chips and queso I got for only 5 bucks. I may come again for the vibes with some friends, but I can't see myself eating here regularly with the current prices. Food is great though. read more

We had a great meal until it literally went to the dogs. We loved our little tacos and the queso that the young woman taking our order suggested. We loved the outdoor modern picnic seating on the breezy covered patio. We loved the servers who were efficient and pleasant. We even loved the crushed ice in the self serve drink dispenser and the fact that mango was available--yummy! What we did not love was that the friendly bartender took a bowl from the special dog dish cupboard on the patio and filled it at that same self serve drink dispenser where we had just filled our own glasses. We love dogs, but we don't want to see the dog dishes intermingled with our own. Alright. I can't do this anymore. As good as the food is, the service is the absolute worst. I got a gift card after complaining 2 visits ago, went back, things went ok. Went back again tonight, back to terrible. They not busy in any way. Got my tacos before my chips/queso yet again. Tell the guy, hey, no chips and queso yet, he just kinda nods and takes the pager thing. He passes us 2 more times with other people's chips and queso, welp that's enough. What is the problem?
