Came back to Torchy's, experience was not as good as the first time. We got there at 8:30. They close at 9:30, so we had plenty of time. We ordered food and two margaritas with salt. As we moved to the bar to wait for our food, the bartender informed us that he had put away the rim device to salt our glasses. We had already paid, so what were we to do. We said, "ok." Then we questioned what time they closed. We doubled checked, 9:30. It was only 8:30. I don't prefer a margarita without salt but felt stuck. Also, it wasn't as if we were the last ones to come in. I counted at least 6 parties that came in after us. The chorizo queso was excellent. The tacos were decent. However, while it may seem like a small thing, the lack of salt on the rim of my $12 margarita really sunk this place for me. I've never bartended, but I don't feel like it's a lot of work to salt a rim. Even if the stuff was put away (an hour early).
Fast casual. Shrimp taco was delicious. Chips were perfect. My husband loved his breakfast tacos.

Came to Torchy's Tacos for the first time on National Margarita Day. Ordered the house frozen margarita, the regular size. The drink is normally $11.55 but today it was $2 off. The drink was very good. We also ordered the full size of salsa Roja. It was spicy and had a kick to it. The cost is $5.25. Unlike a lot of Mexican restaurants, they charge for chips and salsa here. We weren't that hungry so we didn't order any tacos. But we will come back and give them a try. You can place your order at a kiosk, on the mobile app, or at a counter. If you order at the counter, they will deliver your food to your table. There is plenty of seating for countertop service. There is also a nice bar area with tables. If you sit in the bar area, they will come to your table to take your order. The bar has four large TV screens. Excellent for viewing sports. We were able to watch basketball, auto racing, and the Olympics while we had our drinks. There is one TV in the area for counter order seating. They serve Coke products. We like this! There is a self-service fountain area where you can refill your own soda. The service staff were professional and attentive. Our food was served promptly. The bill was accurate. They have a reward club, so join if you go. You get free queso on your next visit for joining. You get points for dollar spend, and you cash them for free food items. We will return and give the tacos a try. Pricing for tacos seems inline with other similar restaurants. Our bill for two drinks and chips and salsa, with a tip, was $33. And that's with the margarita discount. So the cost of the chips and salsa, in total, makes them higher than other restaurants in this respect. We hope they offer specials, discounts, reward member deals, or coupons in the future. They have a good happy hour menu. It runs from 2 to 6 PM on weekdays. They offer half price drinks. That appears to be a good deal! With that deal, we wouldn't mind paying for the chips and salsa.
Somewhere in 2018, I was down in TX, and my friend took me to Torchy's. From there, a love story began. I lived in MA at the time, and upon realizing there wasn't one around, very briefly considered opening a franchise myself! When I moved to IL, I once again checked to see if there were any nearby, The closest one was in a suburb of Indy; while still pretty far, it stuck in my memory. When I had a road trip to KY, it would be a perfect halfway spot, and I made it a point to stop in one the way there and back. The magic is absolutely still there, and I once again briefly considered opening a franchise local to me. Alas, as of this writing, Torchy's does not operate under a franchise model. First, let me introduce the elephant in the room: prices. Torchy's is more expensive than places whose names are similar to "Baco Tell" and "Shipotle," but I would argue despite a meal costing ~$5 more, you 100% get your money's worth. But how? Well: Food quality: For a fast casual restaurant, the quality is fantastic. I could quip about the brisket not being the tenderest, most melt-in-your-mouth stuff ever, but this isn't a BBQ joint with a smoker out back. For something which is likely coming from a hotel pan, I have no complaints. Even so, the proteins, veggies, and sauces all have terrific flavor, and are of high quality. I also love that the tacos are superbly well balanced and stay together nicely. For the sides, the queso is fantastic and some of the best I've had, and the tater tots are cooked and dressed to perfection! Service: Everyone working here is kind and friendly. At one point, I'd run out of queso, and had some chips left over. Going by the philosophy of "ask and ye shall receive" I asked, and was given some more queso. Outside of this, even during a busier time, the food came out very quickly. Portion sizes: Both times I'd ordered two tacos and a side. The tacos are delightfully large and not at all underfilled. The sides also fill in the gaps in ones stomach, so much so, this was a case where I didn't have room for dessert! Knowing me, this is a rarity! Final verdict: Perhaps it is a good thing that there isn't a Torchy's in IL, for I would be in there an unhealthy amount of times. That which caused me to fall in love with it in TX is present in this location as well. When Kentucky (rather my friends in KY) call my name again, you can be certain I will be putting Torchy's into my GPS before anything.
My sister and I had so much fun here! You order and pay at the front and then sit at a table for the food to be delivered. There is also a bar to order drinks if you want more. The staff were really nice and food was great. It's a bit pricey but the food was really great!
Had a wonderful lunch today. Quick ordering process even though they have kiosk the lady up front was ready and willing to take our order which was much faster. We opted for the 2 can dine for 20$ deal. They don't normally have street tacos so wanted to give them a try. It comes with 6 tacos Side of beans Side of rice We both chose to do 1 of each meat option. The steak was chopped up which was nice and had lots of flavor The pork was absolutely delicious and juicy The shredded beef was ok but lacked flavor and was greasy Rice was terrible and lacked flavor Bean were amazing as usual The tacos needed more onion and cilantro Keep in mind they are small and could use a bit more meat on them In addition we ordered the green chili queso and chips. The queso had a nice bit of heat to it and was creamy and had guacamole in it We also shared the taco of the month which is the Tokyo Drift. It was hands down the best taco they have. I'm adding a pic of what comes in the taco. I do wish it had more siracha mayo Overall great fast and delicious food.
My husband and I have been trying out some new taco restaurants, we prefer street taco style. When we arrived inside, it was not quite clear how you place your order. We went in and they said we could sit at the bar and order food at the bar. The bartenders were super friendly and great at making suggestions for food items. We started with the award winning green Chile queso dip, I would not order it again. I prefer white queso and did not like the taste of this queso. I like spice with green Chiles, but just something didn't taste right to me. I ordered 2 tacos and my husband ordered the burrito with barbacoa. The tacos taste better to me then Condado tacos, but if I go back, I'd order the burrito. The burrito was filled with flavor, rice, beans, toppings, and was delicious! I just kept eating my husbands I recommend trying the burrito with barbacoa.
I definitely enjoyed my experience ordering from here yesterday...and more importantly, eating the items that I ordered! I have never had Torchy's (at any of their locations) and I am impressed with the flavor combinations and ease of ordering. I downloaded the app, which is part of my standard practice these days, and was happy to find that I was rewarded a free order of their Queso & Chips. I was going to order the Street Corn, but after being gifted the chips & queso, I decided to save that for next time. I wanted to try a combination of their "Damn Good Tacos". I wanted some beef, some chicken, some flour tortillas and some corn tortillas, so I ordered the Brushfire, the Chicken Fajita taco, the Crossroads, and the Democrat. Everything was juicy and flavorful. I don't generally like salsa verde or tomatillo salsa, but I decided to trust the process and only use the condiments intended for each individual taco. Everything was so good. Generally, my husband isn't really a fan of Mexican or Tex-Mex food, but the flavors were so on point that I had to save him half of each taco to taste. Even he was a fan! The queso had a slight kick to it and the chips tasted really fresh and crisp as well. As previously stated, I placed the order through the app to-go, so I didn't really have much interaction with the staff. I entered the door labeled "To-Go" and my order was sitting right on the counter. An employee greeted me, and I grabbed my order, gave it a quick check for accuracy and was on my way. It was pretty loud inside for a Friday afternoon, but that just lets me know that they are a popular spot. My only dislike was the price point. Each taco was about $5-$6, but I'll be back to try the Street Corn and the Hillbilly Queso for sure!

The food is tasty. Ordering's pretty confusing as it's unclear that there are kiosks when you enter. And the kiosks--to our party--were not intuitive to operate. What little staff interaction we had was good. Bathroom was dirty and out of soap. Touch screens were dirty, too, and there was no hand sanitizer.
Not authentic but if you're looking for a twist on Tacos, Torchys is the place to go. There are many different kinds: chicken, beef, pork, seafood, veggie, just take your pick! The queso is amazing, I would highly recommend trying the hillbilly queso as well. The Baja shrimp was very good, you can get the shrimp fried or grilled. I thought the crossroad would be spicier but it actually wasn't that hot, still tastes great. The brushfire is always a great choice, but the jerk chicken does carry some heat. I suggest going for happy hour, Mon-Fri 2-6, all drinks are half off. Our bartender made a great margarita! They even have a deal of 3 street tacos for $6!
This location is the only Torchy's Taco restaurant I ever visited. Popular during meal hours. So, I prefer to go during non-peak times. Their unique queso with chips is usually what I order. Sometimes their offers require a $1 minimum purchase. So this time I also ordered a chicken fajita for $5.15. I tried it which did not appeal to me at all. I could have went across the street to Chipotle for more bang for my bucks. To me, menu prices are high. I like the screened patio seating.
First time to Torchy's, and will definitely be back! I've seen the Torchy's sign down in southern Indiana, but never stopped. Was driving thru Fishers this evening and thought I'd give it a try, and glad I did. I ordered on their app, which was easy and efficient. The lady helping me, I think her name was Alli, was very polite and helpful with my to go order. I ordered chips and queso and both were fantastic. A little spicy, but I love spicy food. I ordered three tacos to go, and they were all full of flavor and tasted great. The Brushfire was served with chicken and mango, and some epic heat and some coolness with the mango, great combo. The Hogfather was exactly as it's described, full of pork and bacon. I accidentally order the Democrat with a corn tortilla as I usually opt for flour. The corn tortilla fell apart and simply didn't eat much of the democrat, due to it falling apart. Overall, the ordering process was easy, the pickup time was super quick and the restless clean and they had great customer service! Will definitely go back and dine inside or outside! read more

First of all I asked for a BOWL not a CUP! who is this a "bowl" for? A Smirf?! Secondly, all was put together quite sloppily. A no no for take out hunt. that reflects back onto your restaurant. If you cared about your business and your customers, y'all wouldn't just throw toppings onto a tortilla and call it a taco. Yes, all Mexican food is meant to be sloppy, but to an extent. for me its a no. Oh and lastly you should really think of names that are NOT misleading. We just picked up our food during a snowstorm. (Christmas time 2022) The quality is awesome- fresh, plentiful and delicious. I had chicken fajitas with flour tortilla. My other half had an assortment of tacos pork, chicken and beef with corn tortilla. We also had the street corn which was tasty. I've been wanting to try Torchy's for some time now, and I'm glad that I can finally check it off my list. My girlfriend joined me on my visit and we were both eager to see what they had in store. We ordered our food to-go while in-store. The inside of the restaurant is much more spacious than I'd expected. I was pleasantly surprised! It was clean and decorated in a fun way. There was even an outside patio area that looked perfect for tacos and drinks. The staff were very helpful and were patiently assisting us as we asked different menu questions and decided on our orders during our first visit. Service was for sure a 10/10! I ordered a Baja Shrimp taco and a Mr. Orange taco. As you can see in the pictures, they wrap the tacos in their own individual foil wraps. Personally, I was not a big fan of that because it makes tacos wetter and gives the tacos a smashed look. My Baja Shrimp was a 4/5 stars. There are a couple of additional modifications that I'll make next time to bring it to 5 stars. I chose the option to have my shrimp grilled. I was very satisfied with the size of the taco and the amount of shrimp piled inside. I wished I had ordered just two Baja Shrimps instead of 1 Baja and 1 Orange. The Mr. Orange was not nasty, but not delicious either. The seasoning was a bit salty. The taco was not visually appealing given the ingredients were all rolled up, pushed together, and distributed a bit unevenly. I definitely plan on returning and, next time, dining in and ordering drinks. I'd recommend giving Torchy's a try! read more

I simply adore Torchys. We lived in Austin for three years (where Torchy's started) and ate it once a week while we lived there. The tacos really are "damn good" and delicious. You really only need to order 2 to feel full (3 if you're hungry!) Personal favorites are the "trashy trailer park" and the Baja shrimp. Definitely get the chips and queso (comes with Diablo sauce on it though, which is hot!) and a margarita. Can't go wrong! read more

First time visiting and it's a flavor explosion! The menu is simple yet I still struggled to figure out what I wanted! The salsa and queso are insanely good. I had the Mr. Orange salmon taco and Democrat barbacoa. They were good. I prefer flour tortillas which some tacos do come with that--so I'm sure you can request to change. The flavors are HOT. Hence the name Torchy's and the devil as their logo! I didn't mind at all because I love hot foods--and it was a comfortable temperature for me! My boyfriend, however, couldn't eat the Brushfire (lived up to the name)! It was fantastic!!! Everything has a kick of heat for sure! There was quite a line at almost 8 pm on a Thursday night, but another employee came and started taking orders at the register. You order from the board above them. I tried the fajita taco and a Baja shrimp taco. You can get them in flour or corn tortillas. My friend ordered the green chile queso to share. They give you a buzzer like piece and they bring your food out to you. We grabbed seats and got our waters. The fajita taco was stuffed full of fresh ingredients! It came with a side of a tomatillo salsa. The Baja shrimp seemed to have a lot of toppings in it, but not many shrimp. It was tasty though! That one has a chipotle cream side sauce. The queso was tasty with a nice kick. They brought us more chips when she noticed they were low when our food came out. You take your containers to the trash when done. read more

10 out of 10! Or in Yelp standards, a 5 star out of 5 star. I brought myself on a date here. This mama needed out of the house, some queso and a sangria. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the food was brought out to me and the freshness of everything! The sangria was PERFECT (I'm a bit of a sangria snob). The queso was a little bit too spicy for my personal liking but still so delicious I practically ate the whole thing myself. The taco had the perfect amount of meat, cilantro, onion ratio and the corn tortilla was wonderful. Brought my husband home a "naughty Santa" and he raved that it was one of the better tacos he's had. So excited to come back and try more! read more

One of my friends lives in Dallas and I told her we were getting a Torchy's Tacos. They have them all over the south I guess and finally made to Indiana. I'm glad they did. The tacos are bigger than street tacos. A little pricier, but are very good! I ordered the chicken fajita taco and loved that one and the Republican. That one has jalapeño cheddar sausage in it. I liked it but wish the sausage was cut up into pieces to make it easier to eat. The street corn comes in a huge dish and is good as well. They have a ton on their menu and outdoor heated seating. They also have a loyalty program. It was busy and for as busy as it was it wasn't too long of a wait to get the food. I only wish they would open more on other parts of town. read more

I ordered the chicken fajita taco, the beef fajita taco, and the Democrat taco all on corn tortillas. I also ordered the refried beans. Upon delivery, my tacos were soggy and covered in oil. The refried beans were a bit too creamy for my liking and lacked flavor. The tacos also lacked flavor. I will not order from here again. The restaurant itself has a great vibe. The lighting and set up make it great for families and smaller parties. They have good drinks and a decent bar area. read more

Very good food and super fast coming out of kitchen. The lady at the front counter was extremely helpful and nice. The inside is very large and they have a bar super cool stuff on walls and seating. Only downside is it is expensive it's all al la carte so be prepared. Other than that we will be going again. Also as FYI the queso does have a kick to it but it is yummy. Good tacos and surprisingly filling! I ordered two tacos and was worried I would still be hungry so my husband and I shared some queso as well. I could hardly finish one taco with the queso! So while they are a little pricey, you are getting a lot for it. The queso was a bit spicy even though I was told it wouldn't be but I also am sensitive to spice so not a big deal. This Tex-Mex taco spot is always a favorite in our family. We used to go all the time when we lived in Texas and they became my husband's favorite. You order at the counter and then they bring out your food to you. Food came out relatively quick and I liked that I was able to sub something on my taco when ordering. I got the scalywag which was the taco of the month but substituted chipotle ranch for the peach habanero jam. I also got the trashy trailer park which means that they take the lettuce off and put queso on the taco. This was my first time having the scalywag and it was delicious, definitely the best I've had here. The trashy trailer park is a little spicey but good so I continue to get it despite it giving me heart burn. I got a Tito's cherry limeade to drink and it was the perfect amount of sweetness and alcohol. I will be getting it again next time. I the love ambiance inside and how well lit the place is. They have a bar area with TV's which is nice for watching sporting games. Give this taco spot a try and you won't regret it! read more

If you like freshly made food and love Tacos, this place is a must visit destination. This was our very first visit but will become a regular. EVERYTHING IS MADE FRESH DAILY!!!! The Margaritas, the Tortilla Chips, the Queso and of course the tacos. The margaritas are absolutely authentic and you can tell they are freshly made. The Queso cheese dip is by far the best I have had anywhere. The menu offers a wide variety of taco options. I ordered The DEMOCRAT of course and The TRAILER PARK . I got the latter extra trashy as the server suggested. The meat is well seasoned and tender and the toppings are very plentiful and of course fresh. My wife had a Cross Roads taco. It had a very tender and plentiful helping of brisket. We got some churros with caramel sauce to take home but they smelled so good and were so warm, they didn't last the trip home. Now, what every successful eatery needs is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable servers. We'll, if you dine in the bar area SONNY will give you the absolute best in service and guide you to favorite menu items. She was one of the friendliest servers we have ever experienced. You can tell by watching her and interacting with her that she loves her job and believes in their products. If you haven't been go. If you have kids with you go to the dining room after ordering but if it's just adults go directly to the bar and let SONNY amaze you with her service. read more

I have heard all about Torchy's. Great vibes in their restaurant and I love their screened in patio with TVs. I will say, while ordering I thought the tacos were kind of expensive. But they are much larger than I was expecting (especially compared to other taco places) so I guess it is warranted. I tried the Tipsy Chick and the Green Chile Pork. I loved the green Chile pork, it was cooked well and came with a really good sauce. I wasn't a huge fan of the tipsy chick. Something was off with my chicken, it just wasn't great. My boyfriend got the democrat and the crossroads and they were both delicious! I would definitely get the Democrat if I eat here again, the Barbacoa is so good. read more

Having gone to college in Texas, I was a huge fan of Torchy's and was missing it terribly--imagine my absolute JOY when I stumbled upon it while running errands in Fishers. I love this place. It is important to note that this is pure TEX-MEX which is a different genre from Mexican. The queso is hands down the best thing about Torchy's AND also the tacos are top notch. The Baja shrimp tacos are my go to (add in some Diablo sauce) but there's something for everyone, whichever protein you'd like (including options for vegetarians). The ambiance is an interesting mix of sports playing on TV over in the bar to picnic benches outside to indoor booths-- you can definitely find space for anything you'd like, whether you're there to watch the game, eat with family (kid friendly!), or have a birthday gathering. Service is also quite quick! Definitely worth driving from downtown to Fishers on a regular basis. read more

Hard to believe anyone could not rate this place five stars. Was introduced to Torchy's in Texas and loved it immediately. The Fishers location has yet to disappoint. The trailer park (trashy) is an absolute must, as well as the queso. The little scoop of guac in the queso really takes it to the next level. My first experience at Torchys was confusing. When you walk in, there's a line to the counter so we stood in it to order since there was no hostess stand. However they also have waiters, so some people went & sat straight down. I don't like spicy food so I ordered some tacos on the menu that looked safe -- the fried avocado and the Mr. Orange. My husband got the mofaux and the Brushfire, plus an appetizer of chips & queso. Maybe I'm naiive & should've picked up on it from the devil logo, but EVERYTHING WAS SPICY. Like ours noses were constantly running. This was disappointing to me because the menu didn't say these items were hot. Even the queso was spicy, so it was unenjoyable to me. If you like spicy, give this place a go. If you don't like spicy, stay away! There is nothing to indicate spicy. read more

THE SCALAWAG 9/10 thought this was delicious! The breading on the shrimp was super sweet with a pleasant hit of coconut. TRAILER PARK 8.5/10 my go to taco. Can't go wrong with a fat ass chicken tender in a tortilla MOFAUX 7.5/10 I don't really like beyond meat but this surprisingly was not bad at all. Anti corn tortilla so odds weren't in this little guys favor but I would eat again. CHICKEN FAJITA?/10 smelled good, didn't eat it. Too boring for me I think. Taco Tuesday needs to be here every week! Literally some of the best tacos I've had. All of their foods are made fresh daily! The Baja shrimp taco, loved. The democrat, loved. The tipsy chick, loved. The taste of the tipsy chick was soo different and good. It comes with a bacon jam which sends this taco over the top. It's a taco, but doesn't taste like a taco, if that makes sense. It gave me chicken wing vibes (but it the most delicious, non weird way possible). Definitely would get all 3 of those tacos again. Queso and guacamole were amazing as well. I was a fan of the beans or corn. To me, the corn was either missing a flavor, or had too much of a flavor. I couldn't quite put my finger (or tongue lol) on what was going on with the dish. The refried beans were decent, but are super smooth. I like my refied beans with some chunks of beans. These seemed to be put through a blender or something, and they were a little too salty for me. Torchy's is SO delicious! That's all I've heard from friends and I can appreciate a good taco. I personally have always loved Condado tacos in town and when I would ask is it as good as Condado, everyone said it's WAY BETTER. So my intrigued self said okay I have to go now. I have no other option. It was bomb diggity. I mean. It was so flavorful and the meat was cooked perfectly and it was juicy. The queso was to die for! Popped into torchys for tacos and margs with my aunt. The queso was delicious. The trash taco was our favorite. I will say I was shocked by how strong the margaritas were also. All in all, this is a nice restaurant to grab a bite to eat. I wasn't impressed by how my food was Lukewarm when I received it. I would try it again once the crowd dies down. read more
