It's nice you can get your taco on a corn tortilla, flour tortilla, or in a bowl! I did mine in a bowl and it was great! Our food was served hot and fresh. Great flavors. The restaurant was nice. Dining area is rustic and well laid out. Friendly staff. We had the queso with chips. Served hot and fresh. Good flavor and spice level. We had the fried Avocado and fresh Avocado taco. Holly smokes Batman! These are not your typical street tacos! I ordered 3 and chips and queso and barely got through my second taco and barely made a dent in the chips. I had the grilled Baja, the republic and hogfather.im serious when I say each taco was full of flavor and crafted to perfection. I also had a mocktail can't recall name. We love Torchy's! Their flavorful tacos and fun drinks are a household favorite and we go to this location at least one a month - either via takeout or dine in. There is one bartender who is excellent at his job - I wish I caught his name. He does excellent at making everyone feel like a guest at his table. Their tacos are super tasty and some pack a lot of heat (so be cautious there). And they feature a limited TOTM ("Taco of the Month") that keeps their menu as fresh as their food. My wife and I come here at least once per week. This time, there is.a new kiosk self-service ordering system and it's absolutely ridiculous. I work in an airport, and if I wanted to deal with this nonsense I would just go to work. It's slow, complex and you get to watch the public struggle through it like an 80yr old with their first iPhone. Even better, only one kiosk was working. And they do have a normal service register but no one was staffing it until they finally realized people were getting upset when a customer walked into the kitchen for help. To top it all, the food came out slow and they weren't even remotely busy! Oh and the silly kiosk had the nerve to ask for a tip (and yes I still tip). I recently moved to the area. I have frequented many Torchy's Tacos while I lived I've lived in Texas. The bartender was great but the food was horrible. Dry tortillas, overcooked food. Everyone is always so nice, everything is always so clean, and the food is always BEYOND FANTASTIC!! Today I decided to try the Taco of the month and (The American) and it was absolutely PHENOMENAL!! Also, I got some chips, salsa, and guacamole to start and the chips came out PIPING HOT!! The salsa and guacamole were also very fresh, and it was yet ANOTHER 10/10 experience!! Came here for lunch and we ordered 3 tacos and nachos. Prices are ridiculously expensive (why is queso $7 and one taco is $4-5...?). There was enough open seating available in the restaurant. The tacos came before the queso and the queso came out about 15 min after we ordered. I thought the kitchen had forgotten about it. When my daughters are in town they make it an absolute must to visit Torchies. In fact they are there now and I would be with them but I have a meeting later in the day. The food there is really well presented and they offer some unusual tacos that are not your regular fare but are fantastic. i had an incredible experience tonight at torchys tacos in highland village. Ian made me an awesome marg and was super attentive.

We will start with the only positive unfortunately, the sweet girl who took our order was great!! The bartenders are rude and lazy in my opinion. They stand behind the bar talking to each other, don't really care about customers. When I walked up as we had already gotten our food but no beers. He goes your drinks are right here and just pointed. We have been there before and our drinks were brought to the table. The queso as always was fantastic the best around in my opinion. My taco came out cold with a brown avocado slice. My husband ordered the trailer park taco and didn't get the fried tender got chicken fajita meat on it. We have been trying this location since we moved, but may have to go back to southlake. Also is there no manager on duty making sure the customers experience and food is good? I've been to a few Torchy's locations, the layout at this location seem to be opposite of all others I've been to and threw me off at first. When I go to Torchy's I usually go for lunch but I decided to try it for breakfast today. They weren't as busy as they generally are during lunch and I didn't have to wait in line very long. I decided to try migas and get coffee as well. It didn't take very long 5-10 mins before they came out with the migas. I thought it was a little bland, usually at most restaurants where I get it it comes with chorizo but not this version. Their green salsa on the side did add a good kick and improved it. The coffee was fairly weak and bland. I am a coffee snob so it might be fine for others. I will definitely get their tacos next time. Service was good, I just wasn't as pleased with the food I ordered this time. read more
