We have been going there for 25+ years. Love it. Flour tortillas are amazing and any of the tacos are the best around.

On Tuesday 7/14 we had a party of 12 for dinner at 7 . The waiter came and took orders and served 4 people at end of table and never returned to get orders from the other 8 people. Finally after at least 20 minutes of no service we had to ask someone for service ! A very sweet and efficient waitress helped us named Janet ! This girl deserves a raise for her excellent service and attitude and she saved our dinner experience from being totally ruined ! Food was fair and blackberry margarita was not good . Discovered this restaurant a few months ago. Since our first visit, we have returned 5 x's! The menu is diverse, with reasonably priced luncheon specials. The decor could use an update. It is a tad dark with dated Mexican decor, but the seating is spacious with several booths & table/chair seating options. We like to be seated in the "side room", but have eaten in the main dining area. Our entree's are always fresh & served hot, right from the oven. The chips & salsa are good, but we also order a small queso. We have not tried the Wednesday Fajita night; however, our friends tell us they have dined there & enjoyed the Fajita's. They have asked us to join them some Wednesday & we will. Overall, this restaurant deserves 5 stars, simply for the excellent menu entrees! read more

This place was awesome. It got 4.2 stars somewhere my husband saw, and I just want to know what their definition of a 5 is, because we loved everything about this place. I had a Strawberry 75, and my husband had a Jose Cuervo Margarita. Next, we had the Steak and Cheese Enchiladas, and I had Flautitas. Both dishes were great. We finished up with the Apple Pie, and yes, we're stuffed beyond belief. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night, and the people watch was a 10. I really can't complain about a thing. When you head west on 1171 leaving behind the hustle and bustle of 2499 there isn't a whole a lot out there to see. With that said, you could still blink and easily pass this place by. The original location of Cristina's is situated in a small strip center in a beige building with a gas station attached. There is nothing pretentious about it's rustic home, inside or out. and it has remained the same for years. I love the fact that upon being seated fresh chips and salsa are rushed to the table. The regular salsa is decent, composed of standard ingredients, albeit a little on the watery side. For those who want some heat though, they are happy to oblige when you request a spicier version which is not only hotter but also more flavorful in my opinion. For me, margaritas are a must when having TexMex and they have plenty to choose from here. They offer several flavors of frozen swirl margaritas but I only ordered mango so I can't comment on any of the others. I would have liked to have tried another flavor, but I underestimated how much 20 oz actually is and my stomach was running out of real estate! As delicious as the one was that I did have, it could have used quite a bit more tequila. At first inspection, my chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce looked very plain. But one bite in I knew I had made the right choice because the flavor was outstanding! My husband and I agreed that they were much better than his beef enchiladas which come smothered in meat sauce. As for the rest of party, they gave their thumbs up when I polled them on their entrees of different types of burritos and fajitas. A kids meal hamburger with fries for my youngest one turned out to be subpar. It included an overcooked burger and undercooked fries. I realize that places don't usually put the same care and attention into kids meals as the regular dishes but I'm still dismayed when they're noticeably thrown together. Even though the overall rating for the food and drinks is a little above a 3 (based on past and present visits) factoring in the prices elevates it to a 4. These days especially I've had to brace myself for sticker shock every time I go out. But here they have kept their prices reasonable, unlike at many other establishments. read more

We ordered take-out. The food was amazing and we are picky. We ordered veggie fajitas - they had cauliflower, zucchini, onions, red bell peppers and more. It was seasoned well and delicious. It comes with these AMAZING Smokey refried beans and seasoned riced. The best Tex-mex we have had with great prices. We live in Oklahoma but we definitely make sure we eat here next time we are driving thru. The salsa uses a lot of cilantro. It is very good unless you don't like cilantro. Overall great food! Went for lunch with my boyfriends parents to try the famous Cristina's. My favorite was the decor and lunch atmosphere, very chill. I was surprised that the restaurant is next to a gas station. We tried their Birria tacos which were advertised, but they just didn't do it for me--kind of dry, not enough cheese, not enough consume. The chips and salsa was great and the combo plate was great. Our server was helpful and attentive. I would definitely go to Gloria's, Mi cocina or other tex mex places if I was in the area again. But for a weekend lunch, this did the job. read more

I've found each location of this little family-owned chain to be consistent in serving up quality Tex-Mex and margaritas. This is not some uppity, chic Latin restaurant. We first visited this location around 2000 (and Trophy Club & Southlake since). I have been to the Lewisville location many times. Today we decided to try the flower mound location since we were nearby. The restaurant was very warm inside. It was like the AC was not working. The service was definitely lacking . Our waiter Edwin was not very attentive and forgot several things that we asked him to bring us. Cool little Mexican restaurant basically out in the middle of nowhere. We have passed this place a million times but never stopped. It's actually kind of hard to find because it's in a strip mall with a gasoline and you almost wouldn't even know it's there. Service was awesome. No wait line, and they got us right in to be seated. Immediately had food and drinks ready to go. The kept the chips and salsa stocked on our table at all times, which to my family in imperative ha ha. Food came out great except the onion and the peppers for the fajitas weren't near cooked enough. Needed at least another 5-10 minutes in the skillet. The existence of a casual dining chain restaurant on this section of FM1171 caught my attention. So, I decided to turnaround and have lunch here. Although it was noon, there were only a few tables occupied by diners. The server quickly sat me at a booth. After asking for something spicy, I was recommended the chile relleno from the lunch menu. If you like queso, you will love the dish. There was no section of the brisket chile relleno which was not covered by cheese. I was able to remove some of the excess sauce as I prefer not to drown my food in cheese. The additional combo of refried beans and rice was excessive for lunch. As the chile relleno was enough for my appetite, I would have preferred just one side rather than two for a lunch plate. read more

We came here for a dinner date! There is always a guy who makes balloons here and it is super entertaining to watch while waiting for the food. The service was great (even when it's packed) and this place is my boyfriend's favorite place. We always get the same dish and it feeds us both with leftovers! The chips and salsa are amazing. They give you this alcoholic cold coffee flavored shot before you leave which is so stinkin' good, I would definitely order a whole cup of this if I could! This is my second time here at this location and we have no complaints. No long wait time, chips and salsa come at you soon as you're seated. Both times we had Jessica and she did a fantastic job (I will request her section now when I come back) she was helpful, nice and never neglected our table. I love margaritas and this place does it right. They have a great menu, this night we tried the small burrito combo and was tasty... can't go wrong with queso. This is the second Christina's location I have tried. Don't let the word "Fine" in the title fool you, this is a dive in every positive way. Shoved in a small strip mall with very little parking, gas station at the end of the strip center, décor that is less than attractive, slight smell of cleaning products when you enter (fades as you go in), and most of all really really good Tex Mex food. We started with the Queso Mexicano, which could be a meal in itself. Good flavor and texture and perfect flour tortillas. My wife then had Flautas and I had Carnitas Tacos. Both were excellent and plentiful, so that made the price more manageable because we each took some home for another meal. Chips and Salsa also good. Both the house frozen margarita and the sangria were also good. Menu has lots to order so we will brave the parking lot and come back again soon. This certainly fills our need for a midscale Tex Mex. I went on a limb and tried a blackberry jalapeño margarita & honestly I was not the best but it wasn't anything they did wrong I just couldn't hang with the flavors. The staff is generally friendly and they've got a long menu. They've got all the basics, plus some great appetizers. My favorites on the menu are the fajitas and the enchiladas. Found it after "googling" a good family friendly restaurant in the Flower Mound area. Was greeted with a full parking lot, and a 15-20 minute wait on a Friday night (6:30pm) that ended up being 5 minutes! The waiting area is small, the main dining room you first walk into is tall and bright, where we ate was the dining room to the left and it was intimate, warmly lit and good enough for a date! We went with our 2 children, ages 5 and 2, and our table was never empty of chips and salsa. Our waiter, Addison, was aMAzing. Our two orders came back from the kitchen slightly messed up and both had to go get fixed and he didn't skip a beat. He was apologetic yet upbeat, and got the food fixed quickly and even brought additional sides as an offering of apology. He made us completely forget the kitchen messed up our food! The food itself was so delicious. And customizing it is no issue! My husband had a single huge burrito, no onions or pico with refried black beans and a 20oz frozen top shelf margarita, and I had the fish tacos no lime crema and black beans and a skinny top shelf margarita (brilliant - no artificial ingredients). Every single bit of it was delicious. They also served shots with our ticket. The first time I'd ever experienced that! He did ask us, though, so if you don't drink - they also have shirley temple shots with cherries in them. (Kid-safe, however I'm not so sure about my kids taking shots!) Had the food been subpar, or the waiter been rude due to the kitchen's mixups, I would have rated it below a 5 star. But having had worked in the food industry before, I know how stressful it can be - and they handled it perfectly all while serving high quality and tasty food! First of all the waiter seemed like we were a burden on him and that continued throughout our dinner. We ordered the nachos, brisket tacos, and flautas... Everything was good enough but not great, then there were my brisket tacos... they were terrible, they came out cold, the brisket was more like a shredded roast beef and only had a few strips of meet, nothing like I've gotten at their other locations.
