Honestly was not impressed with this place. Tacos were pretty mid and the staff took a full ten minutes to take my order (once I waved them down repeatedly) when the restaurant was completely empty. The branding for this place is pretty cool, fun menu item names and the inside was a vibe. Unfortunately the staff and food were not a vibe, and I doubt I'll visit a Torchy's again. I've been to numerous Torchy's throughout DFW and Austin. This Odessa location is by far the nastiest of Torchy's I've been to - and one of the nastier restaurants I've eaten at. We were there for 45-60 minutes waiting for food and eating. In that time, 3-4 tables full of trash and dirty dishes sat - never touched by staff. We couldn't order at the counter. The two staff members were having a great time laughing and taking to each other. The food... well, it should be served hot - not warm. The music- we were screaming at each other to hear our discussion. We do not have heating issues. The music was extremely loud. It should have been a sign of trouble when we noticed that a Torchy's on a Friday evening wasn't full. Corporate should shut this one down. It does a huge disservice to the brand. I know the response on here will say how sorry they are and I should send feedback to another website. Already done. 1 star. Would not try again. If this was my first time at a Torchy's, I wouldn't step foot in any others. read more

The food is always good here. However the restaurant was filthy today. Tables had dried food on them, and left over dishes and food not cleaned up. We ate inside and Flies were swarming around so we had to bat at the flies during our meal. The floors were dirty. Outside the place was dirty. Trash all over and food still on tables from someone not clearing the tables. Made the experience less pleasant. I'm sick of the filth here in Odessa. read more

The tea looked like pale water, you could tell they just added water vs brewing a new pot. Staff could care less and was not helpful at all. Shame - it's such a beautiful building. read more

This place is corporate trash. Rather than, say, making a good functional business they rely on cheap tech shortcuts to make the company seem more appealing when they eventually go public. The ordering kiosks are an absolute joke. It's a way to put out feelers to phase out actual employees and increase market value by adding to the black line. By using them you are volunteering free labor and suffering for it. Every response they give to online reviews is at best a template that is devoid of empathy or care, or an AI generated response which is somehow worse. You can't even access reviews below three stars without downloading the Yelp app. Is Torchy's paying a premium for this? I'd love to know the answer. Whatever that is, it's not good. What a nightmare. Edit: since I can't actually respond to their reply-bot, I thought I would place this here. The kiosk exists to lower payroll costs. Nothing about it is for customer convenience. In fact, by its nature it makes the rift between customer and employee greater, and makes the place less inviting. This place sucks !! It's gone so down hill the tacos are so expensive for the quality of slop that they give you . The drink area is disgusting and the staff isn't any better . I hate ordering on the kiosk , I asked for dine in and they gave me all my food in bags and after standing by the employee door and making eye contact with TWO employees waiting for them to acknowledge me so I can ask for trays to eat my food I finally just had to go up to the bartender and essentially had to yell at her to get her attention away from her phone on top of that it took them 15 minutes to bring me two tacos and one quesadilla while it's empty in the restaurant might I add . As long-time Torchy's fans from DFW, we were so glad to see a wonderfully clean and modern design Torchy's in downtown Odessa! The food was delicious and the service excellent. What's more, the restaurant was even nicer than other Torchy's locations making the experience even better. Parking was close by and plentiful. read more

Four of us recently visited Torchy's at 4 pm on a weekday. It took 40 minutes for our order to be prepared (1 burrito, 4 tacos, a salad and a queso). We had to keep asking about the status of our order. The counter person said there was only one person working in the kitchen. We observed several employees eating or cleaning the dining room. They should have told us service would be slow when we placed the order. We were on a tight schedule and ended up having to take our order to go. The $8 queso/chips I paid for were not in the bag. The egg burrito was wrapped with two tortillas, like a sandwich. Very disappointing experience. read more

We have been to many Torchy's as we live in the DFW area & this one was not up to par. We stopped here on our way home from a trip & were a bit disappointed. The place itself is nice looking until you see the dirty tables. It was 3pm when we visited, so you would think there would be time for clean-up. Also, 80% of the employees' clothes were food stained which looked very unsavory. When we got our food--took about 20 minutes--it was cold & the server did not appreciate my husband asking for extra salsa. We will not stop at this Torchy's again. read more

I'm going with 3 Stars for Torchy's because I feel like there was no TLC in making these tacos. They were good tasting, very filling tacos. But they did lack that little extra to make them memorable. I had the brisket, Baja shrimp, and Chile verde tacos. When I bit into the Chile verde taco, I thought I was having the brisket taco...what I'm getting at is that they're lackluster tacos. The service was awesome, tacos came out quick. I like that they have a bar right in the middle of the restaurant. It's like a taco spot and Starbucks had a baby, it would be Torchy's. I like that they have TVs for some sport watching, it can get a little loud in there. Please stop by and try the tacos, maybe I'm little off in my assessment. Next time I'll try some breakfast tacos. The other group got their food. I still waited. 15-20 mins later after almost an hour later Jacob comes up and says "you've been here a minute" then checks my order. He comes out with my order. I thought the food was pretty good. I got the Baja shrimp tacos and some sort of chicken tacos. Both were really good. I also got queso to dip my tortilla chips in. That was really good too! I think one of my favorite items was the sauce that went on top of the tacos. This place is in the middle of nowhere. Odessa, TX is a very small city (at least from what I saw). However the restaurant is directly across the street from the Odessa Marriott (a gorgeous hotel), so it was convenient for me to walk here for lunch and grab something to eat. This place is pretty pricey, especially since it's not a typical dine-in restaurant. You go to the counter, order your food, they give you a buzzer, then you get your food when the buzzer goes off. I paid $15 for everything and a drink, it would have been more but the cashier gave me the side of tortillas chips for free. I'm glad I got to enjoy this place, I don't know the next time I'll be back in Odessa, but when I do come back I'll be sure to stop by Torchy's ( I mean I don't have much of a choice since it's in the middle of nowhere lol)! read more

Came in the on a Monday at 10:50am. Place was scary empty. One employee behind the bar finally greeted me after I sat alone at the bar and said the "bar tender will be with you shortly". I waited a few minutes and left without getting to order. I figured if it takes this long to greet and with such an apparent non carrying attitude, the food would not be worth another wait. Not a very friendly or inviting place. Looks clean and new, but not welcoming. Need to work on staffing or retention of customers. Too bad. We we're VERY excited to see there was a Torchy's in odessa as we have been to them in other cities. This taco chain started in Austin, TX as a food truck before food trucks were cool. They are now in multiple locations across Texas and a few other US locations. We went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon when passing through Odessa. Tried a variety of tacos and the beans and rice sides however they were out of the impossible meat option and the churros when we tried to order those; disappointing to be out of 2 things. While it was pretty empty when we walked in about 12:20pm, Once we had ordered the line got pretty long and went out to the door, so if you're in a hurry they have an app you can pre-order and collect rewards on to. The service was on par for what to expect in the midland/odessa area, we didn't think it was bad. Our food came out pretty quick and was mostly consistent with other Torchy's we've had in other parts of texas-it scratched our itch for Torchy's but wasn't the BEST one we've been to. I'd never had a salmon taco before so that was a fun menu item and really good size piece of fish to. Appreciate the effort to have a few vegetarian/pescatarian/vegan options on the menu! Ordered a burrito with steak and the first one came out and was not rolled correctly and it just fell apart! The second one didn't have any steak in the first few bites so I sent it back and they gave me attitude about that it has 3 ounces of steak in it and it must've been all on one end.
