The absolute worst customer experience I've ever experienced. The torchy's app links to door dash. There weren't any chips alongside the order of salsa, queso, and guacamole. The deliverer dropped my order ON THE STREET. I called the manger to fix the situation and he told me it's "doordashs problem" and there isn't anything he would do for me. What a surprise that my FAVORITE taco spot is now in Waco. We were driving through and I saw the sign and IMMEDIATELY pulled over. The location has the same quality as any other Torchy's I've been to. The guacamole is delicious, some may think it's pricy but you can get a half order. If it's your first time here I encourage you to try the classics (chicken, beef, trailer park) and then dive into the amazing seafood (shrimp and salmon) tacos. They are VERY cooperative gluten free restaurant just let the attendant know prior to you ordering. The brownies are just as good as the tacos you should them as well. read more

Large variety of tacos, everything was very flavorful & filling, they are very generous with portions. The fried avocado taco was my favorite. They have a good amount of vegetarian options and their breakfast tacos are available all day! The chips and queso was also delicious and had a kick to it. I've always loved torchy's, but now I love them even more. I've recently transitioned to vegan and finding things I can eat is usually pretty difficult. The bartender who was serving us was very knowledgeable. I told her I'm vegan and she recommended the avocado taco (not fried), no cheese and with el Diablo sauce. She explained that everything they fry is coated with egg wash (good to know!) and some other things that most vegans would be surprised to know. My tacos were made to perfection! I actually prefer corn tortillas over flour and theirs are delicious. The diablo sauce made it SO HOT AND SPICY! My mouth was on fire, but somehow I just couldn't stop! I will definitely get it again. Fresh avocados, so that was another plus. I'm just glad I can eat some damn good tacos still :) only thing I'd change is frying things without eggs. So I've heard that Torchy's is a must-visit while in Texas...I have to say, I don't get it. We stopped by Torchy's on the way up from Austin to Dallas and grabbed some tacos to go. The cashier was friendly, the order came out pretty quickly, the place was spacious, clean, and had a sizable sports bar seating section. The fried avocado tacos were quite good - lightly fried and slightly crispy on the outside, yet creamy on the inside. The beef brisket taco was, without a doubt, one of the worst things I've ever eaten. It was gristly and tasted like a poor mixture of Mexican spices dumped on unwanted, ground-up leftover meat. I think maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but man, it was truly terrible. I fought my way through it because it cost me ~$6 and I was hungry. But Torchy's is definitely not the best taco I had in Texas - and honestly, I've made better tacos at home. read more

I Google'd their secret menu and found some hidden treasures. The Hipster has panko fried tuna, green chiles, chopped bacon, black beans, cilantro and cojita cheese. The Mad Cow has grilled skirt steak, black beans, grilled corn, jack cheese and cilantro. I came to Torchy's after a late night movie. The ordering process was really swift and easy, and the cashier girl was extremely nice and repeated my order back to me. She gave me my number and I sat down with my friends. For some reason in a restaurant with only ten people that already all had their food, our tacos took forever to come out. I ended up ordering the brushfire on flour tortilla, no sour cream. It was pretty delicious. I did not ask for sauce but they ended up giving me some sauce on the side. The sauce was an orange color, which should've been my first indicator that it was HOT. Other than the wait time, Torchy's Taco is good. However, if you are on a budget, I would not recommend Torchys. The amount of food you get does not match the price at all. read more

I've tried almost every taco here and you really can't go wrong. They have a large selection and serve breakfast tacos all day. I love trying the different tacos of the month - for this month it's the Washingtonian, which has pulled pork, pickles, avocado, BBQ sauce, sour cream, onions, and cheese. It's fun knowing there's always something new to try! The trashy trailer park is also a classic, and the fried avocado is surprisingly good. GET THE QUESO. Usually I can only eat a half order and 1-2 tacos, if you're in a group of 2 the full size is perfect to share. Torchy's is one of my favorite lunch spots, I'm generally there like once a week.
