So I've been here 3 times now including today. While the food is good and service is adequate the prices are ridiculous. Lunch entrees average $12. Every other Mexican restaurant that I eat at for lunch has $7.99 lunch specials. And a draft Negro Modelo pint is $5.50. That used to be the price of a 6 pack. I ordered the least expensive lunch entree, the Monday special, Chile Relleno. I normally don't order those so I can't compare it to others but it was good. Very cheesy. Food came out very quickly after ordering. A little slow on water refill and had to ask twice for more salsa. I would not go back here unless I had a coupon. read more

This was our first time coming to Torero's Mexican restaurant. This experience was absolutely amazing. Shout out to our waiter Jacinto! He was a super star and the highlight of our dinner. His costumer service skills were superb and made my family and I felt so welcomed. We ordered a variety of plates... from the enchiladas verdes.. to Chile Colorado; their famous tacos Al carbon; beef fajitas; nachos and fish tacos! All food was served in record time compared to other restaurants I have been to. Also, the flavor of every single plate was very authentic. As for drinks, we ordered horchata and a few Paloma cocktails. These were really tasty as well. For desert we got the flan and the buñuelos with ice cream. Loved the buñuelos. We went for happy hour and the HH menu is really good and affordable. The food selection is great. The hard tacos and the two taco plate were really good and large portions. We had the pork and steak tacos and were very pleased, really flavorful. The staff were very welcoming. They had their recommendations- another reason we enjoyed the food and drinks. They had a wall full of tequilas and some really high-end tequilas on happy hour. Will definitely be back. read more

Ordered take out from here and my portion was ok, my fiancé enjoyed his dish. I ordered their nachos and it was pretty good taste wise, but the ratio of toppings and cheese versus the cheese was really unbalanced and they didn't layer it. It just came with the chips on top and then a whole lot of toppings on the bottom which was kind of disappointing. They were more like taquitos, deep fried and rolled up with meat inside and all the toppings on top so you had to eat it with a fork and knife. Okay the tortillas are not gone. I over reacted and should have asked first. But having been back a few times since that incident, the tortillas don't seem to be as soft and supple. It could have just been the times we visited, but they seem to be a bit thinner and crack regardless if they're warm at the time of using them. This is a bit unusual for the tortillas here as in previous experiences the tortillas are soft, supple, and playable. And again, maybe I'm reading into this too much, but I have been coming to this restaurant and its previous location for the greater half of a decade and the number one thing that keeps all of my family coming back is the consistency of the food. In all that time I've gotten the same 2 orders consistently and it didn't matter what location I went to the experience has been the same, the food almost the same taste every single time. Came in at 7:30pm today (Saturday 7/22) and was told that there would be a wait with getting our orders however we decided to anyway; we wanted good mexican with drinks and found Torero's! We are seated about ~30 seconds after the quick exchange on delays and sat at the bar. Our waitress came with menus and came back twice, once to ask our drink order and another after telling her we needed some time. Service: wait to be seated, order at the table, chips and salsa and water will be provided at the beginning, request a box and box own leftovers, check brought to you. Complimentary chips and salsa: these chips are super crunchy! Which is satisfying because the salsa doesn't sog them out. There will be no floppy chips here! Ground Beef Quesadilla: regular size is six slices, small size is 3 slices. Slightly too oily (underside was soaked in orange oil) for me but the flavor is good and the cheese is nice and stretchy. The ice berg lettuce and diced tomato wasn't too impressive. Guacamole is average. Burrito Asada: the steak bits are super satisfying. There is that gratifying meaty chew to each bite. Took the wife out for date night to the Landing @ Tereo's a long standing Renton tradition. Was looking forward to a good night out and was disappointed by nights end. All was good until the bill was presented, including a margarita for myself, which cost MORE than the most expensive item on the menu. To say I was shocked was laughable at best....was it a premium steakhouse with tip shelf call? No a simple large margarita with no simple syrup for which I expected $18-20.....only to find it was $33.99 for a "40 oz" drink, which was mostly ICE. Had a "nice" chat with the manager for which he credited $5 so it was now $29 "explaining" it was Torero's "old" policy and could do nothing about it......Laughable st best disappointed...definitely...return? Torero's is still on top of its game even during the pandemic! I order via Yelp for takeout and to my surprised the food was ready within 15 minutes and omg they gave us so much food! We usually order the two item combination and this is what we ordered this time and they gave us an extra enchilada! This meal easily could have been split between two people but did I eat it all? Excellent food that's why I always go back here. There have been a couple times when the rice seems dry/stale for my takeout order. Some cashiers should be friendlier, not so arrogant. Beware of this restaurant and others that automatically add a 20% gratuity on parties of 5 or more. They add that 20% to EVERY bill at the table, 12 people, 4 separate checks. I joined a party and had ONE DRINK! They charged me 13.00 for the drink, plus 2.80 for gratuity, plus tax, then they leave the tip line open on the bill to add more! I paid almost 18.00 for a mediocre mojito! If you go there, keep your party at 4 or less to keep them from charging a ridiculous amount that you may not be aware of. Tips are "To Insure Proper Service" and should be a choice! Also, the hostess was extremely rude and immature when I asked to speak to the manager. Come on Torreros, be better! read more

We came here for their ALL day Monday Happy Hour in the Lounge. It was packed this time around and the bartender was slinging drinks like it was natural. Props to her! Our favorite Happy Hour item was the Asada taco. The meat was perfect! The carnitas were a little dry. The queso was great! The pepper gave it just the right amount of spice and it was rich and creamy. The quesadilla was awesome and came with guac and sour cream and that was my second favorite item on the hh menu. I had a mojito and the ratio of sweetness to sour and alcohol was perfect. The Mai Tai was stiff and good, but not as great as the mojito. I asked for all three sauces for the dessert and they gave me exactly what I wanted.
