Torrance Auto Repair came up in a Reddit discussion recommending some of the better shops in the area, so I decided to give them a try. I brought my car in for an alignment and also asked Jimmy to give me an overall evaluation of the vehicle. From the beginning, he was transparent, helpful, and respectful. After completing the alignment, Jimmy explained what other work my car may need and gave me his recommendations. What I really appreciated was that there was no pressure to spend money right away. He simply let me know what to keep an eye on, encouraged me to stay in touch, and recommended following up when needed. That kind of honesty goes a long way with me. I'm always looking for trustworthy people when it comes to maintaining my car, and Jimmy gave me the confidence that I was getting straightforward advice rather than being pressured into unnecessary repairs. I'll still continue going to Pacific Auto for my tire needs, but I'm happy to have another reliable auto shop for other vehicle services. This company towed our truck from the Bay Harbor complex after the HOA "parking patrol" called…read morethem. The flimsy parking permit which is always hanging from the rear-view mirror apparently fell onto the floor of the vehicle. So, George & Joey's was called. In my experience, their drivers typically check inside vehicles with a flashlight before towing, but that procedure either was not followed in this case or was overlooked. Unfortunately, it was more like an opportunistic tow during the Memorial Day weekend. When I contacted the company, we were informed--just before retrieving the truck--that the cost would be $375.00. The representative admitted that the permit was visible the following morning, but claimed it could not be seen at night because the windows were tinted. That explanation simply does not hold up. I personally tested visibility by placing the permit back on the floor and using a low-powered flashlight, and the permit was still clearly visible through the window. Overall, this experience was a complete ripoff. I see why they have complaints, particularly around overcharging and unfair practices.

Much sooner than anticipated. He was in a flat bad tow truck, which dispatch told me wouldn't work for my situation. Long story short, Saeid took a look at where the vehicle was located, checked out a couple things with the car, and found a solution to get the car positioned in a way that he could get it on the flat bed. He got it done pretty quickly and had me towed to the dealership. I rhode with him there, which made for great conversation. Saeid was prompt, courteous, and good at what he does. From my very first phone call, I had a great experience. I called on a Thursday, and they were able to get me in the very next day. The receptionist was friendly, welcoming, and made the entire scheduling process incredibly easy. When I dropped my car off on Friday, I explained the steering concerns I'd been experiencing. They listened carefully, assured me they would thoroughly inspect everything, and later that afternoon called to let me know they expected to have the car ready by Monday. What impressed me the most was their honesty. After inspecting my car, they told me they couldn't find anything that needed to be replaced regarding my steering concerns.
