Manuel Torres is seriously akin to a Washing Machine Whisperer.. I've never seen anything like it and I am SO grateful to have found him. Manuel must be the most honest, informed and accessible repair man I have dealt with. My washing machine was taking 3 hours to complete a 37 minute cycle and then left my clothes soaking wet. I called him Wednesday morning and he ANSWERED (right there, an extra star lol). He didn't just set an appointment, he asked me informed questions about what I was dealing with, and before even setting an appointment, he offered his opinion of what the issue was. He came out that afternoon and was able to maneuver my stack-able washer and dryer (which are inconveniently tucked into a tight utility closet) to get under the washer and clear the drain which had been clogged with some some stuffing from my dog's bed. Manuel Torres is a very skilled, good & honest man. I had an issue with the oven not working for like the last year and a half. My husband changed the igniter but it still didn't work. We need it working for Christmas. Yesterday we had another very highly rated company come out to check it out & he told me we need to change out the board in the back. I agreed to the price they gave us because it was just under half the price of the oven. After I signed with them, they said I also need to change the valve for another 200. DON'T BOTHER. I'm questioning why this guy has four and a half stars After the first consult he took my machine apart and promised to pick it up to take to his shop. I took the morning off work to wait for him and NO SHOW. Every text was ignored and when I called he said he would call when he was on his way. After more than two hours later I call again and no reply. Probably the worst customer service I have experienced. I bought a used refrigerator, and when I tried to use the water dispenser on the door, it didn't work. Worse, water was leaking all over the floor. I called my trusted handyman, and he told me he doesn't do fridge repairs, but he knew just who could help. I called Torres appliance repair, and was expecting to be charged a service fee for someone to come look at my fridge, and on top of that, a parts and labor charge. I thought I would be spending more than the used Craigslist refrigerator cost me in the first place, just to get it fixed. I spoke with Manuel on the phone and texted him a picture of the issue. He immediately called me back and explained that not only was the problem fixable, but that I could fix it myself with a $5 part from the hardware store. Manuel came to house on a Saturday with a short notice from us . Our washer was leaking water and it turns out the the rubber seal around the washer cover is blocked with dirt so Manuel cleaned it for us and made sure that there are no more leaks. He also gave us advice to clean the rubber seal every now and then to prevent this leak from happening again. What's even better is Manuel is a honest and straight forward kinda guy, he only charge me a minimal fee to fix the problem and did not try to upsell me or made the issue bigger than it is.
