As we walked up to counter to order we were greeted with a friendly smile, and the cashier was so nice. It's cool inside and they have all the best Mexican sodas! I opted for Tamarindo because, if you know how good those are you won't pass up getting one when you can. The menu has a lot of delicious options but I ordered the carne asada torta .. it was fresh off the grill and filled with guacamole, onions, tomatoes, lettuce and comes with jalapeños but I got it on the side. I came to check out the '$30 burritos', no just kidding. I wanted to come back and try their amazing special tortas! And my favorite their tacos de Camarón. (Shrimp) we love how quick, fresh, and affordable it is. We've been coming here for years and it's always a pleasure. Their aguas frescas are so refreshing and delicious! The service is always so amazing. The cashier was super helpful and she was funny too. She helped us order the best drinks for today. I love the fact the bar is stocked with tons of toppings and great salsa. Go ham! Take your plate and don't be afraid to get it the tacos covered. When you order to go, the salsa is included. This place is so legit. Found out about it on accident. Our friend recently moved nearby and he said he ate here 4 days in a row. I totally understand why....the tortas are so good. The bread is pillowy and soft with a delicious taste and the fillings are amazing. I've never really been into tortas and I've had them in California and Arizona. They were usually just okay. Here they are a delicious sandwich filled with tasty meats or vegetarian toppings. I've also had the burritos (asada, shredded pork, & chorizo), the chicken flautas, and the pastor tacos. All great. The rice and beans are also very tasty. All in all this is such a great spot. We come here whenever in this area of Mesa. Highly recommend. Service is fast, I like calling my order ahead for pickup. A little different torta than I'm used to in California. The bread was super soft, more like a bun than the usual bolero roll. My wife loved it. The meats were a bit different also. The usual pork, beef and chicken were shredded and spiced differently. Also good. This place is clean...floors, windows, chairs and all the counters. You can totally see all the cooking being done. Cooks looked professional in the matching shirts and the counter help was kind and helpful. They had a decent flow of customers which is always good. Every time my Family and I eat from this place. We are Always pleased with the quality of the food. The flavor is unique and I noticed they baked their own bread. I believe the food gets the energy from the cooking persons and they ALWAYS look happy and supporting each other. They get your orders very fast. I highly recommend this place... Just a great, little neighborhood sandwich place. No bells or whistles. I got the house special torta, with ham and pork, and it was great. While I waited for my order (which was a few minutes, because the place was PACKED), a guy pulled a bunch of FRESH BREAD out of the oven. The food is very good but management needs to take this business to the next level. Waiting 30 minutes just to pay for a phone order is not acceptable. Have the option to pay over the phone and direct people to pick up. This will cut your queue in half. The gentleman in front of me waited the 30mins and when he made it to the front the cashier told him he was going to wait for 35 minutes to get his food. Needless to say he was very disappointed. Your business might be bringing a good amount of revenue but if this was a painless experience I am sure you could have 3 times that. I will wait 2-3 more months to come back enough time to crave a torta and forget this poor example of a successful business with managment with no vision.
